Missing Ewe and Cute As A Button Friendship Card with Lexa

Hello and Happy New Year everyone! Lexa here and today I'll be using some older stamp sets, Missing Ewe and Cute As A Button stamp sets along with their coordinating dies.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Missing Ewe and Cute As A Button Friendship Card by Lexa Levana

To start my card, I stamped the little sheep with Versafine black ink and watercolor them with Distress Markers. As for the buttons, I made it with two colors pink and purple. After I finished with the coloring and all elements, I use the coordinating dies to die cut them all. With pink twines going through the needle, it adds a whimsical design and some textures. I blend Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for the background, totally love the color combination in the end.

Arranging every pieces to the card is always the most fun part. Some of the images are adhered with glue while I use foam tapes for some others. It gives such a nice dimensions that's needed for such a simple card. I really hope you like the final result as much as I do.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you and your beloved ones have an amazing day!

Happy Owl-o-ween and A Bird's Life Friendship Card with Nancy

Hey there Sunny fans, Nancy here today with a closer look at a few of my favorite Sunny Studios stamp sets. I combined Happy Owl-o-ween (owl), A Bird's Life (birds, nest, bird house), Barnyard Buddies (fence) and a cute sentiment from Cute as a Button to create this every day friendship card.

The watercolored background was created with a wash of Distress Oxide Mowed Lawn. I then used a small paintbrush to flick some "grass" and splattering of dots to make the background look more like grass. All of the stamped images were watercolored with Distress ink. The sentiment was stamped and embossed in white creating a nice bold contrast to the olive banner. A sprinkle of sequins adds a little bit of movement around the nest.

I hope this inspires you to create a card with a combination of your favorites! It's a fun and versatile way to get more use out of your stamp sets.

Cute As A Button Rainbow Card and Video with Eloise

Hi everyone, Eloise here and today I'm sharing a card using the Cute As A Button stamp set and coordinating dies to create a rainbow background of buttons and also the Fresh and Fruity set for the sentiment.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Cute As A Button Rainbow Card and Video by Eloise Blue

To start my card I pulled a piece of white cardstock and a ton of Altenew layering ink sets. I'm using these inks since I need a lot of colours and they're super easy as they come in sets already. I then stamped down 12 buttons with their layers and die cut them out using the coordinating dies

I decided to take my buttons one step further so I used some grey thread and stitched in a cross in each button, it would have been better if I had white thread, but I didn't have any that was thick enough, so grey worked just fine. Once I stitched through all 12 buttons, I went ahead and but foam tape onto the backs of each of them.

I then adhered them all down in a grid pattern onto my white card base, then white heat embossed a thank you sentiment from the Fresh and Fruity set onto some black cardstock. I cut it down into a small strip, adhered it to my card and it was complete.

Super easy rainbow card today using these fun Cute As A Button stamps! If you want to watch the video I made on it, it's linked down below.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll catch you all next time.

Cute As A Button and Vintage Jar Shaker Card with Amy

Hello everyone, Amy here today with a card using the new Cute As A Button stamp set, along with the Vintage Jar stamp set. I think these two pair well together to make a fun shaker card.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Cute As A Button and Vintage Jar Shaker Card by Amy Yang

To begin, I die-cut a trimmed white cardstock using the Vintage Jar die to create my shaker window. I placed another trimmed white cardstock behind it, and stamped the Vintage Jar with gray ink to make the back panel, and set that aside. I then placed a heat resistant acetate behind it, and stamped the jar with Versamark ink and heat set it with silver embossing powder. I adhered this behind the front panel.

Next, I stamped the buttons and the jar lid with various dye inks. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink on black cardstock and heat set white embossing powder.

To assemble the card, I adhered the back panel to a light blue card base. I added double layers of foam adhesive around the stamped jar and all along the perimeters . After, I added some beads and buttons to the middle and closed it with the front panel.

To finish, I added a strip of pattern paper to the front panel for color and interest. I mounted the trimmed sentiment, jar lid, and buttons with foam tape as shown.

I hope you enjoyed today's post. Thank you for stopping by!

Cute As A Button Rainbow Stitched Card with Eloise

Hi everyone, Eloise here and today I have a card using the new Cute As A Button stamp set along with the Sew Word die and I'll also be doing some hand stitching also to give some more texture to my card.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Cute As A Button Rainbow Stitched Card by Eloise Blue

To begin my card today I went ahead and used a die from Mama Elephant to create the stitching detail and little holes in my background. This die comes together with all three designs - I didn't want to cut it apart and that's why I used all three together, but to just get the holes so you can stitch, if you don't have a die - just use a ruler and a pokey tool and just measure and poke at 1/4" and you'll get what you need. Once I ran this through my die cutting machine a few times at an angle, I could stitch it. I used seven colours of thread and back stitched through each line with a new colour. Once I stitched the background I moved onto my sentiment.

Originally I wanted to stitch through the sentiment, to make it look like it was stitched, but the die was too thin to do so. So I die cut the 'Sew' word, using the Sew Word die, from black felt and adhered a piece of string behind it so then that could fit in a little better. I also white heat embossed a 'sweet' sentiment from the Baby Bear stamp set onto a strip of black cardstock to complete my sentiment.

For the needle I used a dark and light grey ink and stamped the layers over top of each other. I love this needle and the buttons from the Cute As A Button stamp set - it's super fun and cute to have the layered look. Once I die cut the needle using the coordinating die set, I poked a hole through the top of it and used a needle to thread through the black string, to make it look like it stitched the 'sew' word. I adhered everything down to my background and then added foam tape behind the background and onto a green card base and that completed my card.

I hope you enjoyed and got inspired to add some hand stitching onto your cards. Thanks for stopping by and I'll catch you next week!
