I stamped, then colored the images using Copic markers. To color the background, I used Distress Inks in Shaded Lilac and Cracked Pistacchio before splashing water with my brush. The sentiment was created by heat embossing with white embossing powder. For my embellishments, I add some clear sequins and clear droplets.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hugs,
Melania Deasy

Froggy Friends Circular Frog Card with Lexa

Hello everyone! Lexa here today with a circular card featuring Froggy Friends stamps and it's coordinating dies. These adorable froggy friends will never let you down.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Froggy Friends Circular Frog Card by Lexa Levana

I think to create a card with different shapes will be so much fun, since I (almost) always make 4.25"x5.5" cards. I stamped all the images with Versafine black ink and watercolor them with my Distress Markers. I add some rosy cheeks for them. I created a water scene with Stitched Scallop dies.

I blend Shaded Lilac Distress Inks for the sky and Tumbled Glass for the water, and the color combination turned out adorable. I'm happy with it. I think I should try another shaped cards soon, even if this is a simple card somehow it looks like cuter because of the circle card base. Last but not least I stamp the toadally awesome sentiment on the top. It was a little bit tricky to stamp them straight since I don't have a guide line like when I created a rectangle card. But it turned out ok, I think.

So here is a closer look of my card, I hope you enjoy it. Thank you so much for stopping by today. I wish you have an awesome day!

Oceans Of Joy Sea Creature Birthday Fishes Card with Amy

Hello everybody! Amy here with a fun birthday card using the Oceans Of Joy stamp set and its coordinating dies. I just love how this set is filled with nine adorable sea creatures, in addition to stamps that will help you create wonderful scenes.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Oceans Of Joy Sea Creature Birthday Fishes Card by Amy Yang

For the card front, I used Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers on die-cut smooth Bristol cardstock. After I was done blending, I added small splatters of water using a paint brush. Next, I die-cut two trimmed vellum paper using one of the dies from the Stitched Scallop set to create ocean waves. I distressed the die-cut vellum paper using Peacock Feathers Distress Ink.

I stamped the images from Oceans Of Joy stamp set, and cut them out with coordinating dies. To create the look of depth, I added the fish and turtle in between the layers of the die-cut vellum waves that was wrapped around the back of the card front, and taped to keep it in place.

Then, I arranged and adhered the balloons to the card front. I used my Copic liner to draw strings from the balloon to the whale. To finish, I stamped the punny sentiment "Birthday Fishes". How cute is that whale?!

I hope you enjoyed what I shared with you today. Thanks for stopping by the blog!

Pirate Pals Nautical Themed Card with Lexa

Hi crafty friends! Lexa here today with a card featuring the adorable Pirate Pals stamps and the coordinating dies. This card would be perfect for a little boy or maybe just someone who loves cute little pirates so much.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Pirate Pals Nautical Themed Pirate Card by Lexa Levana

I have a patterned paper pad with sailor theme, and after looking at the papers, I got an idea to create a nautical look with this Pirate Pals set. First thing to do is stamp all the images using Versafine black ink and watercolor them with Distress Markers. After finish with the coloring I die cut each of the pieces using the coordinating dies

I mixed in several additional stamp sets for this card - Oceans Of Joy and Tropical Paradise. I also used the Ocean Of Joy coordinating dies to create the sand hill and to die cut the red crab. I'm pretty happy how the scene turned out. For the ocean I use Stitched Scallop Dies and it looks adorable, as it matches the stitched on the rectangle panel.

Thank you so much for visiting the blog today. I hope you have an amazing day!

Guest Designer Spotlight: Cards with Michelle Short

I'm so excited to welcome Michelle Short to the blog today as our special guest. She has some gorgeous cards that you are going to just love!

Hello there, Michelle here and I am delighted to be guest designing with Sunny Studio today. I have two underwater themed cards to share with you - one featuring the Oceans Of Joy set and one featuring the Magical Mermaids set. I had so much fun creating these cards!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Oceans Of Joy and Magical Mermaids Guest Designer Spotlight Cards by Michelle Short

My first card uses the adorable Oceans of Joy stamps, the coordinating dies, and the Stitched Scallop dies. I started off by stamping the images from the Oceans of Joy set on to some white cardstock, using black ink. They were coloured with Copic Markers and then cut out using the Oceans of Joy dies.

I made a background for my scene with Distress Oxide ink and water and then stamped the sentiment at the top. I cut some waves using the Stitched Scallop dies from vellum, varying the height of them and using the two sizes of scallops. I assembled my scene and then popped my critters in to the waves with a combination of foam tape and tape runner. To finish off, I added Glossy Accents to the balloons.

Michelle created a video to go along with this card that you can view HERE.

My second card uses the beautiful Magical Mermaids set. I decided to keep my card really simple and use just one of the mermaids from the set, along with a sentiment. I stamped the mermaid and the sentiment on to white cardstock and then coloured the background first, with Copic Markers. The mermaid was then coloured with Copic Markers too, adding dots of the glitter to her tail, top and crown. I added a sheet of Doodlebug patterned paper to the front of an A2 card base and then added the image panel on top. To finish off, I added a few sequins.

Michelle created a speed color video to go along with this card that you can view HERE.

A big thank you goes to Mendi and her team for having me guest with them today. I loved creating these cards with the super cute stamps. Thank you so much for stopping by today, happy crafting!

Two Scoops Ice Cream Parlor Inspired Card with Amy

Hello everybody! Amy here, and today I have a card that features Two Scoops, a fun layering stamp set. This set is perfect for making summer cards and/or for someone that loves ice cream (and who doesn't love ice cream). The results of the stamp layering will definitely "WOWthe recipient. I know I was taken back by how awesome they looked once I found the right color combinations.
Sunny Studio Stamps: Two Scoops Ice Cream Parlor Inspired Card by Amy Yang

To begin, I stamped the ice creams with various dye inks and cut them out with their coordinating dies. I added Ranger Stickles Glitter Glue in Icicle to add shine to the ice creams. After, I put them aside to dry.

To add more interest to the card front (a play on the awning of ice cream parlors), I added a border that I die-cut with one of the dies from Stitched Scallop Dies. I used masking tape to help me color in the sections with alternating dye inks. I adhered the scallop border with two layers of foam adhesive. I just love adding lots of dimension to my cards.

Before adhering the ice creams with a single layer of foam tapes to the card front, I stamped the sentiment "Have A Sweet Day" from Perfect Popsicles set.

For that extra sweetness, I tied a hemp cord around the card front and adhered some pretty sequins for more sparkle. I added fun foam behind it, except in the areas with the cord. To finish, I adhered it to the card base.

Thank you for stopping by the blog, and have a great day!

Pirate Pals Boy Themed Birthday Card with Nancy

We are so very excited to welcome Nancy Damiano to our Sunny Studio Stamps design team! Let's get to know Nancy a little better, and check out her first card share she's created for us.

Hey there Sunny Studio fans, I'm Nancy Damiano and I live in central NJ with my husband and sun. I've been lucky enough to work in the scrapbook industry for 10+ years for many different manufacturers. Recently I took the leap into cardmaking and I'm in love! Coloring my heart out to create a small token of appreciation for family and friends - that's definitely for me. I'm enjoying learning all the crafty techniques that go into these small works of art. When I'm not crafting, I'm traveling, reading and binging on Netflix. I have a passion for the color aqua, Disney World, and paper goods. I’ve been making things for as long as I can remember. I learned long ago that the best things are handmade.

You can find Nancy on social media here:

For my first card, I'm sharing a birthday card using the fun Pirate Pals stamp set and coordinating dies. I love these little characters and they were so much fun to color with Copics!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Pirate Pals Boy Themed Pirate Birthday Card by Nancy Damiano

I started the card by using Distress Ink in Broken China on watercolor paper to create the drippy goodness on the front of the card. Next, I used the Stitched Scallops dies to cut a fun wave border. This was the perfect spot for those pirates to peek out of.

Here’s a close up view of the watercolor and background. I added two sentiments to the lower right hand corner of the card with black ink. It’s the perfect design shelf for that little pirate ship! Two dew drop gems connect the two halves of the card.

Two dew drop gems connect the two halves of the design. This completes the card! I hope this has given you some ideas when creating some Pirate Pal cards of your own.
