Designer Choice Cards with Isha and Kavya

Hello everyone! Isha here with a floral card. This week is the designer's choice so I decided to play with layers using various patterns from the pattern papers, dies, stamps.

I started by a mat layer using the floral pattern from the Subtle Grey Tones pattern paper. I then cut a stripe of teal paper from the Sleek Stripes paper pad. Die-cut the lattice using the Frilly Frame Lattice die from white cardstock. Cut the lattice as per the design requirement using scissors. Add green color to some places using watercolor. 

Cut a watercolor paper stripe, add pink watercolor to it and let it dry. Adhere all the layers as per the card photo. Adhere to the card base. Die-cut a white circle from the Stitched Circle Small dies. Die-cut a white Scalloped Circle Mat 3 die. 

Stamp the sentiment onto the circle. Adhere the scallop circle slightly showing through onto the right behind the circle die. Stamp the flowers and the leaves from the Pink Peonies stamp set onto watercolor paper. Add color using watercolors. Die-cut using the coordinating dies. Adhere the circle layers and the images onto the card. Flick some white and pink paint to the card. To finish, adhere a few Crystal Clear Jewels.

Hi folks! Kavya here with another fun color fun card! I am always looking for fun ways to combine stamp sets… I mean who doesn’t like stretching supplies? Here is a fun little card for a best friend!

I first started off by creating a cute polka dot background for my card. I first started off by ink blending an A2 panel using shades of pink and peach dye ink. I then used a polka dot stencil and pink ink to stencil the top half of the cardstock. Next, I stamped and colored a bunch of images from Sweet Shoppe and Meow and Furever using alcohol makers and colored pencils. I then used two heart dies to create a ‘heart frame’.

For the sentiment, I stacked a bunch of Sweet Word die cuts and applied some PVA glue on top. Then, I dipped it in some white glitter for some extra kick. I also applied some white glitter on the sweets! Finally, I heat embossed the rest of the sentiments from Meow and Furever to finish off the card.

Poppy Fields Cards with Kay and Candice

Hi there! Kay here today with a card to share with you using the beautiful new Poppy Fields stamp set, Poppy Fields coordinating dies and the Inside Birthday Greetings stamp set. And yes, I do know that poppies are red, but I decided to make a bouquet of poppies in a lovely mix of pink, purple and orange! That's what's so fun about stamping!

I first created a background for my card using distress inks in Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet and Broken China. I blended these onto Bristol Board cardstock and then speckled with water and blotted.

I then stamped all of the flowers, leaves and stems with the Poppy Fields Stamp set in the following Pinkfresh Studio inks:

Pinks: Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, Bubble Gum, Raspberry Bliss
Oranges: Peach Fizz, Apricot, Clementine, Persimmon
Purples: Soft Lilac, Candy Violet, Lavender, Regal Kiss
Greens: Fresh peas, Olive

I cut all of the images out with the Poppy Fields coordinating dies. I then adhered the stems with liquid glue first and then added all of the flowers and leaves with glue dots.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Inside Birthday Greetings stamp set on black cardstock and heat embossed it. I cut it out and added it to the bottom of the bouquet with foam tape.

Hello! It's Candice with you this fabulous Friday sharing an elegant card using the Poppy Fields stamp set! I didn't know there were blue poppies but found out there are some called Himalayan Blue poppies and used the color for my inspiration today!

I used these Sunny Studio products for my design:

• Poppy Fields stamps & coordinating dies
• Frilly Frames Quatrefoil dies
• Frilly Frames Stripes dies
• Slimline Scalloped Frame dies (hello)
• Cornflower Blue jewels

I began my card with a 6 1/2 x 5 card base. For my background, I first die cut the scalloped inlay from thick white cardstock and trimmed a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock to fit behind it. I inked this piece with faded jeans, salty ocean, tumbled glass, and tea dye and glued the inlay over it. I used foam tape to adhere to the center of my card front.

Next I stamped the poppies, leaves, and stems using these colors of Altenew inks: blues-sea glass, ocean waves, tidal blue, and starlight browns-vanilla cream, hazelnut, and almond butter. I then die cut them out using the coordinating dies and arranged along the bottom of the frame gluing the bottoms and using foam tape to raise the flowers. I finished with a layered 'hello' inking the top one with faded jeans, salty ocean, and tumbled glass and sprinkled a few blue jewels around!

Poppy Fields Cards with Vanessa and Anja

Hello to you! Vanessa here with a pastel birthday card using the beautiful Poppy Fields set. Although I love the classic red poppies, I decided to go with iceland poppies for my card:

First, I trimmed a panel of vellum slightly smaller than my white card base and die-cut the Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace from it. After I had adhered it to the card, I stamped all the poppies, die-cut them with the matching dies and adhered them to the card with foam tape.

These sets were used for today's card:

I used the following inks for my flowers:
Pink: Distress Ink Spun Sugar + Kitsch Flamingo + Picked Raspberry, MFT Cotton Candy
Yellow: Hero Arts Soft Yellow + Butter Bar, MFT Sunshine, Distress Ink Squeezed Lemonade
Orange: Hero Arts Soft Yellow + Soft Apricot, Distress Ink Dried Marigold, Memento Morocco

Now I die-cut the happy birthday from white cardstock and adhered it before finishing the card off with clear jewels.

Hi everyone, Anja here. Poppies are some of my favorite flowers, so I was excited to create a card with the Poppy Fields Stamps.

I started with an A2 card base and trimmed the gingham patterned paper from the Subtle Grey Tones 6x6 Paper pack to the same size. I then cut one of the Fancy Frames Rectangle Dies from white cardstock and adhered it with foam strips.

Next, I stamped the layered poppies, leaves as well as the tiny ladybug from the Layered Basket set using dye inks (you can find the ink colors below). I used the coordinating dies to cut all the pieces out and arranged them on my card. I added a grass border (Picket Fence Die) at the bottom which I die cut from green grid paper (Gingham Jewel Tones Paper).

Dye Inks used:
Poppies: Altenew Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss, Crimson, Vineyard Berry, Grapevine; Simon Says Stamp Stone, Cobblestone; Leaves: Altenew Just Green, Hunter Green; Stems: Altenew Just Green; Ladybug: Altenew Heart Beat

Black details: VersaFine Onyx Black Ink

I die cut the words 'for you' included in the Gift Card Pocked Die set from black cardstock and double heat embossed them with clear embossing powder for a glossy look. To finish off my card, I adhered three Crystal Clear Jewels.

Embossing Folder Focused Cards with Isha and Kavya

Hello everyone! Isha here today sharing a CAS card with a lot of texture using our Woodgrain embossing folder. What I really like about Sunny Studio embossing folders is that they are 6 by 6 inches so perfect for making square/circular cards as well.

I started by creating the background by adding alcohol pearl inks onto the yupo paper and blended them using the ranger blending solution. Once dry, I applied some WOW! gold foil to this. The foil will stick to some of the sticky parts of the ink. Now, I used the Woodgrain embossing folder to dry emboss this piece. 

I made a circular frame using the Stitched Circle Large and Stitched Circle Small dies. Adhere to the mat layer. Adhere the mat layer to a white card base. Stamp the Poppy Fields flowers and leaves using the Poppy Fields stamps. I used the inks from Altenew. Die-cut using the coordinating dies.

Die-cut the word "HELLO" from the Slimline Scalloped Frame dies. I die-cut it two times in white and once in gold. Adhere the gold hello slightly offset behind the white. Assemble everything to the card. To finish, I added some Crystal Clear Jewels.

Hi folks, Kavya here. I am back on the blog with a fun card. If you like stretching your supplies, you might like this card! I created this fun breakfast table using a bunch of old favorites that you might have in your stash already.

I first created my wooden table background by first ink blending the edges of a brown cardstock using brown ink and then embossing it using Woodgrain embossing folder. I then splattered some brown, white and black paint to make it a bit more realistic. For the table cloth, I took another piece of white cardstock (lighter the better! I used 60 lb) and created a plaid background by using the broad tip of a red alcohol marker and a ruler. Then, crumble it up a bit, to make it more realistic! For the plate, I used the Stitched Semi Circle Die and added an inner shadow using colored pencil. I then traced an image of a spoon and fussy cut it to complete the cutlery!

I then stamped a bunch of images from Breakfast Puns stamp set and colored them using colored pencils and alcohol markers. To make it a bit more realistic, I used different thicknesses of foam tape so that it doesn’t appear flat. Finally, I stamped a sentiment from Breakfast Puns stamp set on Kraft cardstock and tucked it underneath the table cloth to finish off the card :)
