Dashing Dachshund Cards with Vanessa and Tina

Hello to you! Vanessa here with a fun card using the Dashing Dachshund set.
I love this cute dog image! Here I used an interactive slider card base die from Lawn Fawn to extend my scene. 

I first stamped the houses from Charming City onto my background and inked everything with the same ink. Then I added a strip of white cardstock to the bottom to create snow. Next, I stamped all my images -  the bike from Paris Afternoon, the tree from Seasonal Trees, the scarf from Critters on the Go, the lights from Scenic Route, and the dogs. I colored everything with Copics, die-cut the pieces with the matching dies, and adhered the images to the card. 

After I had assembled the slider card, I mounted the piece to a red rectangle that was die-cut using the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I created a card base with two die-cuts of the Frilly Frames Stripes Dies and adhered the slider piece to the card. Finally, I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of red cardstock, heat-embossed it with white embossing powder, and adhered the strip to the card with foam tape before adding snowflakes with a white gel pen.

Hello crafty friends, it’s Tina, and today I am experimenting with a bit of mirror stamping! As soon as I saw the adorable Dashing Dachshund set, I knew I wanted to give this technique a try. And I was pleasantly surprised by how fun it was!

To obtain a mirrored image I stamped the cute dog, his hat and sweater onto a white silicon mat with my usual Copic-friendly ink. Then I transferred these images to a piece of Neenah Solar White paper by simply placing this onto the mat and rubbing over the area where the images were stamped on the mat. When you lift off the paper you can reveal your mirrored images. Which I then fussy cut and set aside while I stamped everything again in my Misti. I also used the cute Santa and packages from the Reindeer Games set.

To create the background I added a few trees from the Seasonal Trees set, which is a great set to have in your stash since you can use it all year round. All the coloring was done with my Copic markers and as always on my Christmas cards, I added tons of snow with a white gel pen! Some fine white glitter makes the trees extra sparkly. 

For the sweaters, I first colored them with a green Copic marker and then stamped a pattern with the smallest snowflake of the Dashing Dachshund set in a contrasting dark pink color. As an extra touch, I added a white dot with my gel pen to the middle of each snowflake. Contrasting blue and white borders finish their ‘custom made’ pullovers.

I die cut three snowbanks from white Neenah paper and inked up the edges with Distress Oxide Prize Ribbon. This color was also used for the sky portion of my card panel, and I splattered it with white paint droplets to give the illusion of snowflakes. Before assembling the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Reindeer Games set directly onto the smallest snow bank.

Next, I could adhere the trees and snowbanks to my card panel before gluing it to my card base. Lastly, I added all my images with some foam tape. The doggies are in such a rush to reach Santa that their hats are flying in the air! They remind me a lot of our dogs Mira and Lena who love running around too!!

Inside Greetings Congrats Cards with Bobbi and Catherine

Hello Sunny Studio friends! It’s Bobbi here with a baby card to share. I am using the following products by Sunny Studio Stamps:

I used Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for all of the cardstock elements and black dye ink for the stamping.

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I stamped and colored the cute Baby Elephant design. I used the following Copic Markers to color it: RV00, RV02, YR31, YR30, B000, B00 and BV000. I used my white gel pen to add dots and swirls over the colored image to make it a bit more textural looking. It softens the look a bit.

Next, I cut the Bursting Hearts Die design from white cardstock. I ink blended Spun Sugar and Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Inks, starting in the center and moving out a bit, leaving white around the edges. This panel will be used as the background for the elephant image.

For the card base, I cut the following pieces: 5″ wide X 11″ long piece and a 5″ wide X 7″ long piece. I scored the longer piece at 4″ (from the top edge) to create the inside 5″ X 7″ panel. The other A7 panel will be used to complete the front panel. I cut a 4-1/4″ wide X 3″ long rectangle from both pieces as shown above. It’s important that these panel openings line up perfectly so that they can “sandwich” the bursting hearts die cut panel in the middle of them.

I adhered the layers together with glue, carefully lining up the openings and “sandwiching” the die cut piece in the middle. This offers a nice finished edge on both sides. I used one of the Icing Border Dies cut from pink cardstock to cover the 4″ edge from the front piece. I stamped two sentiments from the Inside Greetings: Congratulations stamps on the front panel. I added white hearts to the outside panel in a diagonal fashion for a little more subtle sweetness.

Inside, I stamped a third sentiment from the Inside Greetings: Congratulations stamp set and added more white hearts down the side of the interior panel. Note: I made sure to stamp the phrase below the rectangular opening so that it would not show through from the front.  This card is done!

Hello Friends! Catherine here, sharing a floral card featuring Inside Greetings Congrats Stamps!

For the background, I stamped a piece of white card stock sized 4.25” x 5.5” with buildings from Charming City Stamps using two different colour inks. 

I die cut two frames out of rectangles from Stitched Rectangle Dies, one from white card stock and the other using black patterned paper from Classic Sunburst Paper. I spattered the black frame with a small amount of Picket Fence Distress Spray Stain. For the white frame, I added texture by die cutting a stitched border on top of the four sides. I adhered the two frames and vellum sized 3.5” x 4” onto the background. 

For the outer flower pocket, I trimmed one piece of white card stock 4” x 4” and stamped it with Charming City Stamps. I folded the cardstock to resemble a cone and trimmed off the ends. I repeated this with vellum and tucked the vellum inside the outer pocket.

Charming City: Lawn Fawn Jelly Fish, Mama Elephant Smoke
Flower Bouquet: Hero Arts Key Lime Fizz, Green Apple; Pink Fresh Lemon Whip, Sweet Mustard, Clementine; Altenew Cotton Candy, Frosty Pink, Pink Diamond, Ruby Red, Coral Berry

I added flowers from Timeless Tulips, Cheerful Daisies, and leaves from Spring Greenery Dies. I finished off the card with a sentiment from Inside Greetings Congrats and tied a bow with baker’s twine.

Designers Choice Cards with Marine and Anja

Hello crafty friends, Marine here with you today with two super cute mini slimline cards featuring a bunny mom with her bunny kids and a panda dad with his panda kids.

I started by stamping the images using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I stamped the bunny from Critters on the Go, as well as the bear on the scooter two times. I turned one of the bears into a panda, and used the bunny head to turn the other bear into a bunny. I also stamped the bunny heads and bear heads from Balloon Rides, the cart from Harvest Mice and some tiny bows from Spring Showers.

I colored all the images using my alcohol markers. And to make the pandas, I first divided the bear bodies and heads into several parts using a pencil, next I used a black memento pen to trace over those lines, and I colored the legs, arms, ears and eyes in black, leaving the remaining parts white.

After the coloring, I created two identical mini slimline backgrounds. I cut two 6 x 3 inches bristol panels and created a cloudy sky on each panel using a cloud stencil from my stash along with tumbled glass and salty ocean oxide inks.

Next I cut a 6 x 3 inches panel out of a green pattern paper from the Spring Fling paper pack, and used the grass border die from Picket Fence to cut two grass borders out of this green pattern paper. And I attached a grass border on each panel using foam squares.

I cut some letters using the Chloe Alphabet die set to make the words "Mom" and "Dad", I also stamped the second part of my sentiment on each panel, "Thanks for always being there" from Words of Gratitude, and then I attached the images using a combination of glue dots and foam squares to stick the biggest images and liquid glue for the smallest ones such as the tiny bows.

Hi everyone, Anja here and sadly, this will be my last post as a member of the Sunny Studio Creative Team. Today's card is dedicated to Mendi, the owner of this wonderful company. Thank you so much for having me! I had a blast designing cards with your adorable products for over 3 years.

I combined some Spring Release and previously released products for my final card. Of course I had to use one of the cute Passionate Penguins again!

I started off with a white A2 top folding card base and masked off the bottom to create an ink blended background with Distress Oxides. I mixed Cracked Pistachio and Salvaged Patina to achieve a beautiful mint color which fades downward into Tattered Rose. For the ground I blended on a bit of Pumice Stone ink.

Next, I stamped the row of houses, trees and lamp post (Charming City Stamps) as well as the penguin in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I cut them out with the coordinating dies. The Eiffel Tower from the Paris Afternoon set was stamped in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with Liquid Platinum embossing powder.

I cut the 'thank you' word die included in the Slimline Scalloped Frame Dies set from white cardstock and combined it with a black stamped Words of Gratitude sub sentiment. Finally, I assembled the card and added two enamel hearts in matching colors.
