Guest Designer Spotlight: Chickie Baby Cards with Karin Åkesdotter

Hi Everyone! I'm Karin Åkesdotter from Peppermint Patty’s Papercraft and I am so excited to be here to share some cards that I've created with Sunny Studio Stamp’s Chickie Baby stamp set and coordinating dies. 

For the first card I started by stamping a row of chickens and then masking them before I stamped the next row, and so on. 

I then lest my masking on so I could ink the background with Distress ink. After I removed and colored the chickens I stamped the sentiment. 

For the second card I used wonderful paper from the new paper pack called Spring Fling. I am in love with this pack - so many fun and cute papers to use for your paper crafting. Several of them are like this one - paper you can use as a background scene. 

Here I cut the hills and used foam adhesive when I assembled them back together on a piece of scrap cardstock to create a 3d look. The sentiment is from Pink Peonies and the chicks are stamped, colored and die cut, before added to the card with foam adhesive. 

My last card is so beautiful in real life, and I hope I managed to capture it on photo because this Blooming Frame is soooo beautiful. It's a joy to cut through thick cardstock!!! I simply made a card base from kraft cardstock and then adhered the die cut frame.

I then added the sentiment that comes with this die set and finished off my card with some sweet flowers - These flowers also come with the frame die set - such a useful set.

Blooming Frame Dies Focused Cards with Vanessa and Anja

Hello to you! Vanessa here with a new card using the wonderful Blooming Frame Die. 

When I made this card, I was preparing for our trip to Paris and saw the gorgeous Art Deco and Art Nouveau elements, so I was inspired to create a card dedicated to this style.

First, I inked the front of my card base with Crushed Olive, Lucky Clover and Pine Needles Distress Oxide Inks. Then I die-cut the Blooming Frame from dark green cardstock and adhered it. Now I applied Versamark Ink to a piece of yellow cardstock, heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder and die-cut the "happy birthday" from it. After I had adhered the sentiment, I added green pearls from the Rainbow Pearls mix.

Hello everyone, Anja here and today I'm back with a floral Thank You card using the Blooming Frame Die along with the beautiful Pink Peonies Stamps.

I started with the background by ink blending the Distress Oxides Spun Sugar, Milled Lavender and Wilted Violet onto some Bristol cardstock. I also added a couple of ink splatters with a paint brush.

Next, I die cut the Blooming Frame Die from white heavyweight cardstock using an extra metal shim in my die cutting machine due to the intricate details. I wanted to create a frame design, so I also die cut a rectangle window out of the center. I love how you can see the ink blended background behind the die-cut.

I stamped the sentiment from the Everyday Greetings set in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. For my floral cluster, I stamped the peonies and leaves in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. This helps staying inside the lines while watercoloring. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images and arranged them at the bottom left corner of the rectangle window. I used foam tape to pop up the peonies and tucked the leaves behind them. Finally, I adhered some matching sequins and added tiny dots of Nuvo Fairy Wings Dream Drops.

Chickie Baby Cards with Vanessa and Anja

Hello to you! Vanessa here with a new card using the adorable Chickie Baby Stamps. These chicks are hilarious. Today, they are celebrating a birthday party:

I first inked a panel of white cardstock with Distress Oxide Inks and adhered it to the card base. Now I stamped the images, colored them with Copics, die-cut everything with the matching dies and adhered the elements to the card with foam tape.

Finally, I die-cut the "Happy Birthday", using the Blooming Frame Dies from pink and white cardstock, layered the pieces and adhered them. Stamps used in addition: Oceans of Joy (balloon), Purrfect Birthday (hats)

Hello everyone, Anja here and today the spotlight is on the Chickie Baby Stamps. Aren't they the cutest?!

For the Distress Oxide Ink background, I blended together Shaded Lilac, Cracked Pistachio and Evergreen Bough. I also added water droplets and ink splatters.

I stamped the chickens, eggs and little accessories in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and did some Copic coloring. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images. To fit the sentiment inside one of the Banner Basics Stamps, I slightly curved it. I did a bit of shading with grey Copics and used the matching die to cut it out.

I arranged the chickens in a row and placed the banner above them. To finish off my card, I adhered Pink & Purple Heart Confetti clay embellishments and sparkling clear sequins.

Blooming Frame Die Focused Cards with Angelica and Mindy

Hi friends! Angelica here, and I have a card to share with you today featuring the Blooming Frame Die.

I die-cut a white card stock panel with the Blooming Frame Die, and used the panel as a stencil. I blended yellow and pink ink over the "stencil", finishing up with a thin layer of Gina K Designs White Glitter Gel. Once dry, I trimmed the glittery panel into a frame, and made coordinating Cheerful Daisies to decorate the frame. 

I white heat-embossed a partial Cheerful Daisies sentiment onto pink card stock, trimmed it, and attached it to the card with foam squares. I finished the card with a die-cut Hello.

Hello! It’s Mindy from My Creative Scoop. Today I’m sharing a fun Birthday Card using the Blooming Frame Die and Prancing Pegasus Stamp and die set. I’m also using the new Spring Fling Paper behind my Blooming Frame Die. 

I love how the white pattern pops against the rainbow paper. The Scalloped border around the ‘Happy Birthday’ is from the Fancy Frame Rectangle Dies. I actually cut 2 out in black and then one in white to give the frame a little bit of a shadow.

I colored my Prancing Pegasus Stamp with my Copic Markers. Here’s a list of the colors I used. Body – N3, N1, N0, R32, R30. Rainbow hair and Wings – R32, Y35, Y02, YG13, B14, V12, N3.

Blooming Frame Die Focused Cards with Rachel and Candice

Hello everyone! It's Rachel here and I have a card to share with you today that showcases the gorgeous new Blooming Frame Die. I combined this set with the new Pink Peonies Stamp Set because I felt that they complimented each other perfectly.

To start, I first blended some pink Distress Oxide Inks (Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, and Picked Raspberry) onto a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I faded my colors upward, starting with my darkest color on the bottom. Once finished, I then splattered this piece with both water and diluted Opaque White Paint to give some added interest. I let this piece dry and then adhered my Blooming Frame (that I had cut from white card stock) with some liquid adhesive.

I then stamped my flowers onto another sheet of the Neenah Solar White 110lb Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I used my Copic Markers to color them (pinks: RV000, RV10, RV52, RV55, RV66, RV69; Greens: YG01, YG07, YG17, YG67, and G28.) Once finished, I then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I added my images with some 3D Foam Adhesive Squares to give my card some slight dimension.

Hello!  Candice here with you today showcasing the new gorgeous Blooming Frame die on a tropical Easter card!

I used some new and older Sunny Studio products to make my card:

• Blooming Frame die
• Chickie Baby stamps & coordinating dies
• Kinsley Alphabet stamps
• Fabulous Flamingos stamps & coordinating dies

To create the background, I first trimmed some Bistrol smooth cardstock to fit the blooming frame, inked with picked raspberry, worn lipstick & spun sugar, leaving the center white, and then cut out with the frame.

Next, I stamped the flamingo, leaves, flowers, chicks, & eggs, colored with Copic markers and then used the coordinating dies listed above to cut them out. I adhered them to the card with glue and foam tape to give dimension to the little scene. I stamped the happy and Easter on a banner and then added a few Nuvo drops to finish the card.
