Fall Kiddos Hello Autumn Card with Juliana

Hello friends! It's Juliana Michaels. Although it's not quite fall here, it's been easy to get into a fall crafting mood thanks to the adorable Fall Kiddos stamp set. I combined it with the Happy Harvest stamp set and the Comic Strip Everyday dies to create a fall themed card.

I began by stamping and coloring the images from the Fall Kiddos and Happy Harvest stamp sets with Copic markers. I then die cut them using the coordinating Fall Kiddos dies and Happy Harvest dies. I actually stamped and colored a few more leaves once I started laying out the scene and I had one extra kiddo that didn't make the card!

For the background, I embossed a wood grain design onto a piece of Bristol Paper and then ink blended over it with Distress Oxide Ink in Antique Linen. I then added some black ink splatters.

I die cut the grass from a piece of Bristol Paper using the Sunny Sentiment dies and then ink blended it with Peel Paint Distress Oxide Ink.

Once the background was completed, I went about adhered the stamped images to create the fall scene. While I was laying this out, I decided I wanted a frame around the card. I used the Comic Strip Everyday die for this and simply trimmed off the inside pieces to create one large frame. I then tucked a banner with the sentiment in the top right hand corner and the card was complete.

Fall Flicks Filmstrip Dies Sunflower Field Card with Eloise

Hi everyone, Eloise here and today I'll be using the Fall Flicks Filmstrip Dies along with Happy Harvest to create a fall card. 

To begin my card today, I started off with stamping out a ton of sunflower and stem images as well as a couple of pumpkins onto some watercolour card stock from the Happy Harvest stamp set. I then clear heat embossed over them so they would be easier to watercolour. I then used my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers to colour them in. Once they were coloured, I die cut them using the coordinating dies. I set them off to the side and die cut the rest of my layers that I needed to use. I die cut my Fall Flicks Filmstrip from black card stock and then used Woodland Borders to cut into some watercolour paper for the scene. 

(Zig's Used: No. 70 Orange, No. 62 Dark Brown, No. 41 Light Green, No. 66 Dark Oatmeal, No. 60 Brown, No. 52 Bright Yellow, No. 67 Mustard)

Now that all my elements were cut out, I used some Ground Espresso, Candied Apple and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks for the sunset background along with Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron for the ground. I adhered both pieces together using foam tape and then adhered the Fall Flicks Filmstrip dies on a piece of patterned paper from Amazing Argyle. I then adhered my distress inked pieces inside too and cut off the excess. Lastly, I adhered my images into place and white heat embossed the 'Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice' sentiment from Happy Harvest onto a strip of black card stock and adhered it into the centre.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Autumn Themed Cards with Wanda Guess

Hi everyone! Wanda Guess here! I'm very happy and excited to be a guest today on the Sunny Studio Blog! I am totally loving everything in the new release because my favorite season is fall! I am obsessed with the paper packs from Sunny Studio - I think I'm using them on every card I make lately!

I have two projects to share today - both with an autumn theme. I used lots of color and lots of patterned paper too - just my style. Happy September everyone!

First up today is a cheerful autumn card made featuring the Happy Harvest stamps and coordinating dies. The images are so fun and cute, and the sentiments are gorgeous. 

I love it when Sunny Studio mixes the fonts! The font for this card is from the Beautiful Autumn stamp set. 

I used my Copic markers to color the tree, the birds and the pumpkins. I created a soft background using Distress inks. I started with a white A2 card base and layered Sunny Studio gingham patterned paper in a beautiful teal. Then I layered some vellum, and then my top layer. 

I stamped and die cut all the images and colored them in. I added glitter accents and white gel pen accents. Two of my favorite ways to jazz up a card. I layered everything onto the card using foam tape. To finish off, I used clear Nuvo Drops and added clear dots! I love introducing blue or teal with orange since those colors look so nice together. 

My second project is a sweet treat bag made with more beautiful Sunny Studio patterned papers, and the FUN Nutty For You acorn die set. SO CUTE! I love this acorn guy with his pink cheeks and little smile! 

The bag is a glassine bag from my stash. I put some gold/almond Hershey's Kisses inside for a sweet treat and then folded and stapled the top. I wrapped a band of paper around the entire bag. Then I die cut out the acorn and attached it with foam tape. 

I used the supper pretty Autumn Splendor stamps and coordinating dies to make a couple of leaves for the top. Those are also attached with foam tape. I added a small circle with the sentiment and some stamped leaves (from the Happy Harvest stamp set). 

Finish it off with a bit of natural twine! Sure to make anyone smile. These would be cute for the Thanksgiving table or just any fall occasion.

Happy Thoughts Stamped Background Birthday Card with Lexa

Hi everyone! Lexa here today with a birthday card that features Happy Thoughts Stamp from Sunny Studio. It includes so many greetings that you need in your life. As one of my friend's birthday is coming up, I'll create this one especially for her. Let's get started.

I started with the background, and drew a thin diagonal line as a guide to stamp all of the "happy". I stamped it with pink, blue, and yellow dye inks in random orders. Then I used the same pink ink to create some splatters here and there. The balloons dies are from Studio Katia, I cut them in pink and blue patterned paper from the Rainbow Bright Paper pad. I also layered the background with vellum to create a softer look against the balloons. 

The sentiments are white heat embossed on black cardstock and then I adhered them with some foam tape for dimensions. To create borders for my card, I hand drawn the black lines along the edges. It matches the black cardstock as well. Last but not least, I used some beautiful jewels from Pretty Pink Posh.

Fruit Cocktail Black Die Cut Background Birthday Card with Vanessa

Hi everyone! Vanessa here with a juicy card using the Fruit Cocktail Stamps. I love these layered stamps!

First, I die-cut the Comic Strip Everyday Die from black cardstock and adhered it to the card. Now I stamped the fruit and leaves onto white cardstock, die-cut them with the matching dies and adhered them, using foam tape for more dimension.

Then I inked a piece of cardstock with the same inks I used for stamping and die-cut the Sweet Word Die from it. I stamped the sentiment parts, heat-embossed them with white embossing powder and adhered the die-cut word with the leaf to the card.

After all the fruit I had to preserve over the last days, I am fed up with real fruit! But these beautiful stamps I can't get enough of. Thank you for stopping by today!

Happy Harvest Apple Tree Fall Themed Card with Franci

Hi there, Franci here with you today with a pretty card featuring the Happy Harvest set.

I just love this set so much! This little tree is adorable and I had so much fun dressing it with lots of apples! I started by die cutting the Fancy Frames Rectangle dies out of kraft cardstock and then cut a coordinated card base in white. Then I stamped, colored and die cut all the images.

I decided to use the apples for this card, and they are the perfect size to be attached to the tree. I assembled my scene and then set it aside while I was working on my front panel. I masked the top of the card to create my grass by inking it up with the Twisted Citron Distress ink and then lightly colored my sky by sponging some Tumbled Glass Distress ink over a custom shaped cloud stencil.

Finally, I glued down all of the images with a combo of liquid glue and foam tape and added some details with a white gel pen. The tree looks so cute with that little winky face, and I love it!
