Pirate Pals Boy Themed Birthday Card with Eloise

Hi everyone, Eloise here and today I have another birthday card to share with you using the Pirate Pals stamp set. I'm loving making boy themed cards with this set - it's so nice to have a few in my stash!

To begin my card today I went ahead and first did the background piece. I took a piece of watercolour cardstock and tore all four dies to create that distressed look. I then used Antique Linen, Ground Espresso and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink to colour it. Once it was coloured I flicked on some water and dried it all with a heat tool.

Next up I stamped out my images from Pirate Pals and coloured them in with Copic Markers. I only used a few colours and just repeated using them to create a simple colour scheme. Once they were all coloured in I die cut them out using the coordinating dies.

I then added fun foam behind my panel piece and adhered it down to a grey striped piece of patterned paper that I adhered onto a card base. I then adhered all my images using foam adhesive too.

For my sentiment I white heat embossed it onto some green cardstock, cut the end off at an angle and also added a bow with some hemp cord to the other side and adhered it down onto my card also.

That finished up the card for today, I hope you enjoyed and I'll be back next week! Thanks so much for stopping by.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Cards with Anika Lerche

I'm so excited to welcome Anika Lerche to the blog today as our special guest. She has some gorgeous cards that you are going to just love!

Hey stampers, Anni here! I am soooo happy, excited and honored to be back as a guest designer for Sunny Studio Stamps again.

Today I want to show you a set of cards I made featuring the super cute sets Oceans of Joy and Magical Mermaids.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Oceans of Joy & Magical Mermaids Turtle Card by Anni Lerche

I started making these cards by creating the backgrounds. I played with my alcohol inks. I had them for years but haven't used them for a very long time. As I knew I was using ocean critters I chose blues and turquoises for my backgrounds. You never know what you get with the alcohol inks which is what makes it even more exciting.

I stamped all the cute critters from the sets a few times (way more than I used in the end), colored them with alcohol markers and fussy cut them (don't panic - there are coordinating dies available, too).

For all my cards I chose the same layout. There are so many cute sentiments in the sets. So I got a matching one for every image.

I added some bubbles with Nuvo drops and that finished up my cards.

Fresh & Fruity Googly Eyed Fruit Bowl Thank You Card with Lexa

Hello everyone! Lexa here today to share some inspiration with you. I just came back from Bali for my holiday, and I must say that I'm still in a holiday mood. Bali is one of the most popular holiday destination in Indonesia, both for local tourists and foreigners, and everyone loves to be there. I took inspiration from Bali's popular fruit stacks for my card. I used the Fresh & Fruity Stamp Set and it's coordinating dies to create this card.

I started my card with a piece of 4.25" x 5.5" white cardstock and blended Tumbled Glass Distress Ink on the bottom part to create a gradation. It helps to ground my bowl, so that it doesn't look like it's floating on air. I stamped all the fruit images from Fresh & Fruity Stamp with Versafine black ink and then watercolored them with Distress Markers. After I finished with the coloring I cut all of them with Fresh & Fruity coordinating dies. I love the thin white lines around the images ... perfectly cute!

After I arranged all the fruits in the bowl, I felt somehow this card looked unfinished. I got the idea to create a "roof" so it looks like a fruit stall. I used the bigger scallop from Sunny Borders and drew lines in between each scallop, before coloring them in with red and white. To tie in all the red in my card, I die cut a "thanks" script from Vintage Jar Dies from red cardstock and finished the sentiment with "from the whole gang" using one of the stamp in Comfy Creatures.

Last but not least I adhered some googly eyes on every fruits to add extra cuteness. Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you like my card and have a wonderful day!

Froggy Friends & Oceans Of Joy Happy Frog Birthday Card with Vanessa

Hi everyone! Vanessa here today with a fun birthday card! I love to combine the various Sunny Studio stamp sets to create little stories on my cards. Here is what I came up with.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Froggy Friends & Oceans Of Joy Happy Frog Birthday Card by Vanessa Menhorn

I thought it would be funny to have the cute frog from Froggy Friends hang onto some balloons from the Oceans of Joy set. So I stamped the images onto a piece of white cardstock, always masking the previously stamped parts to create the frog with the balloons. Then I colored everything with Copics and fussy-cut it. I adhered a panel of sky patterned paper to my card base and mounted the frog to it with foam tape.

Now I stamped the sentiment from Magical Mermaids onto a strip of black cardstock, heat-embossed it with white embossing powder, trimmed it and adhered it to the card. Finally, I added wood veneer stars.

I hope today's card made you smile! Thanks for stopping by!

Oceans Of Joy Sea Creature Birthday Fishes Card with Amy

Hello everybody! Amy here with a fun birthday card using the Oceans Of Joy stamp set and its coordinating dies. I just love how this set is filled with nine adorable sea creatures, in addition to stamps that will help you create wonderful scenes.

For the card front, I used Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers on die-cut smooth Bristol cardstock. After I was done blending, I added small splatters of water using a paint brush. Next, I die-cut two trimmed vellum paper using one of the dies from the Stitched Scallop set to create ocean waves. I distressed the die-cut vellum paper using Peacock Feathers Distress Ink.

I stamped the images from Oceans Of Joy stamp set, and cut them out with coordinating dies. To create the look of depth, I added the fish and turtle in between the layers of the die-cut vellum waves that was wrapped around the back of the card front, and taped to keep it in place.

Then, I arranged and adhered the balloons to the card front. I used my Copic liner to draw strings from the balloon to the whale. To finish, I stamped the punny sentiment "Birthday Fishes". How cute is that whale?!

I hope you enjoyed what I shared with you today. Thanks for stopping by the blog!
