Designer's Choice Cards with Vanessa and Audrey

Hello to you! Vanessa here with a fun baby explosion box mini album using the Baby Elephants set.

This box was created with an explosion box board. I created the bases from white and purple cardstock and added various pieces of patterned paper. With an envelope punch board I created matching envelopes, with the Gift Card Pocket Die little pockets for the tags. The lid is a shaker window filled with sequins and clay elements.

To provide space for text and more photos, I added many tags and pockets. The images were colored with Copic markers and die-cut with the matching dies. Can't wait to see it filled with photos of a sweet baby girl! I hope you like it :)

Hello friends! Audrey here with a fun gnome themed card to share with you! If you have fallen in love with this adorable stamp set and want to add it to your collection, don't delay! This set is retiring, but still in stock, and as soon as it's sold out, it's gone for good. Get yours while you can! :)

To create my card, I started off with a piece of white cardstock cut to 4" x5.25". I cut a piece of computer paper the same size, and die cut a rectangle from the center, creating a stencil or mask of sorts. I taped them together and used Distress ink in Blueprint Sketch (very lightly) and Rustic Wilderness to ink blend a background for the scene. 

Then, I stamped and colored the mushroom trio, two polka dot mushrooms, and the super cute sitting gnome from Home Sweet Gnome, all of which I cut out with the coordinating Home Sweet Gnome dies. I arranged them on the ink blended rectangle, gluing some down with liquid and popping others up with foam tape. I added a trio of tiny clouds to the sky using the Comic Strip Everyday die set, and scattered on some tiny clay hearts above the little gnome's head.

Then, I stamped a sentiment from the set on a white banner die cut, and popped that up in the grass on my scene. The entire panel was adhered to an A2 card base with foam tape, and to finish off the card, I added a few white gel pen accents.

Bursting Hearts Cards with Kavya and Isha

Hi folks, Kavya here. If there is any such thing as a Crafting God, they are definitely on my side this week. I finally bit the bullet and jumped on the foiling train. I didn’t get a chance to foil much as I only had one one plate but I am already in love with the results. When I realized I was assigned a project with the Bursting Hearts plate, I knew it would be perfect for foiling and I am so glad my machine arrived just in time! 

Bear in mind that this is my first full fledged attempt at foiling so there were a bunch of mistakes but I think that’s the beauty of cardmaking… there is no right or wrong. Just happy mistakes :) I first started off by foiling the Bursting Hearts die on some purple cardstock. Follow the instructions for a normal foiling plate but just use some parchment between the die and the foil to get better/thicker lines :) 

You will notice some overfoiling in the edges. I later learned that you can get rid of this by using a sand eraser but I didn’t have one at hand so I decided to leave it as is! I liked the extra foil. Kinda gives it a distressed look. To make it more cohesive, I ink blended the edges and splattered some gold and white paint to make it more ‘distressy’. Then, I just adhered some hearts cut out of shades of pink and mustard cardstock  to create a frame for the sentiment. Finally, I added a sentiment from Lovey Dovey to finish off my card :)

Hello everyone! Isha here with a cute pastel theme card featuring the Bursting Hearts die. I really love the cascading hearts on this die and wanted to keep the card soft.

To start, I die-cut the white panel using the Bursting Hearts die. I then took another white mat layer, applied kitsch flamingo, squeezed lemonade, salvaged patina distress oxide ink to create the background. Adhere the heart panel to this sponged panel and now adhere this to a gray cardbase.

Stamp the birdies from the Little Birdie stamp, color using copic markers and die-cut using the coordinating dies. Stamp and emboss the banner using white embossing powder, sponge using kitsch flamingo ink and die-cut. 

Stamp "Birthday Wishes" inside it using the Candy Shoppe stamp set. Stamp the word SWEET, die-cut using the coordinating die. Die-cut once more using the pink cardstock and stack it behind the sentiment.

Die-cut the big leaf in white and two smaller leaves from vellum using the Spring Greenery dies. Color the vellum leaves in green. Assemble everything onto the card using 3d foam for added dimension.

Holiday Express Cards with Isha and Kavya

Hello everyone, Isha here! Today, I have a fun season's greetings card featuring the Holiday Express stamps and dies. I love creating skies and this time I went with Nordic skies. 

I started by cresting the sky by sponging various distress inks to a white cardstock. Flick white paint and let it dry. Stamp images, color using Copic markers and die-cut using coordinating dies.

Winter village - Winter Scenes stamps and dies

Sponge ink to create snow drifts. Adhere the images to create a winter scene. Add some Novo glitter drops. Flick white paint and the card is ready.

Hi folks, Kavya here. I am back on the blog with another fun card to share with you all! I absolutely loved Mayra’s gingerbread train so I decided to create a candy themed one!  This is super easy to create with a bunch of previously released stamps from SSS that you might already have in your stash. 

I first started off by stamping and coloring a bunch of images from Holiday Express, North Pole, Candy Shoppe, Santa Claus Lane and Fall Kiddos. I changed the main engine of the train to make it look like it was made out of cookies and candy canes. For the carriages, I made them look like waffles complete with cream cheese icing! 

For the background, I ink blended a mini slimline sized cardstock with Antique Linen and Victorian Velvet Distress oxide ink. For the bottom, I used a peach striped pattern paper from Dots and Stripes Pastels pattern paper set. 

Finally, adhere all the stamped images and you are done! You can choose to add a sentiment if you’d like but I felt like the card was already too busy and it’s pretty obvious that it’s a Christmas themed card!

Holiday Express Cards with Mayra and Ashley

Hello and happy Monday everyone!! Mayra here to share this card using the adorable Holiday Express stamp set. I made it into a gingerbread-themed train. 

I started by coloring all of the images using Copic markers. Along with the Holiday Express stamp set, I used the Christmas Cookies, and the lollipop from the Candy Shoppe set. I then die-cut the base panel for the card using the larger rectangle from the Stitched Rectangles dies set.  Next, I used the beautiful Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace die set to add the detail to the base panel and to create a frame for the card. I really love that die set. I then die-cut the candy cane from the Gingerbread House set, and a couple of borders using the Icing Borders set. 

Next, I die-cut the poinsettia from the Window Quad Circle dies set to add to the card. I also used my favorite tag from the Window Quad Square dies set.

Hello friends! It's Ashley with a super cute Christmas card to share with you today! The little penguins are getting ready for the holidays and loading a train up with gifts for everyone! 

I started by stamping the trees from Bear Hugs several times in VersaMark ink onto light blue cardstock. I blended a bit of Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide ink onto the top portion for a bit of contrast. I cut a scalloped oval frame from the center of an A2 sized piece of white cardstock using the Scalloped Oval Mat 1 dies and placed my trees behind it. Then I added the stitched detail to the outside edge with the frame from Frilly Frames - Quatrefoil.

I stamped my images from Holiday Express and Penguin Pals onto Bristol smooth cardstock with waterproof ink and colored with my Zig Clean Color markers. I fussy cut the images out this time, but matching dies are available and super fast! Sometimes you just need a "zone out" activity, you know? I added the images to my card, popping the penguins up with foam tape for dimension. I finished with a sentiment from Penguin Pals stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black and embossed with clear.
