Dotted Diamond Background Die Focused Card with Marine

Hey crafty friends, Marine here! Thanks so much for joining me today on the blog! I'm happy to be back with this new autumn card showcasing the adorable bear from Holiday Hugs. This set may have the word "Holiday" in its name, you definitely can use it for any occasion, for example on an autumn card.

To make the background, I used the new gorgeous Dotted Diamond Portrait Backdrop. And speaking of which, I started off by cutting a Frilly Frame Eyelet Lace out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, and I added texture to this panel using the Dotted Diamond Portrait Backdrop. And I colored my panel using, from the bottom to the top, worn lipstick, dried marigold and squeezed lemonade. I added texture to my panel using the same inks mixed with water, and did the same with white ink. To finish my card base, I attached my Frilly Frame Eyelet Lace panel on a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Amazing Argyle panel using foam tape.

Next I stamped my images on Transotype perfect coloring paper using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and Graph'it brush markers.

Before attaching the images on my panel, I cut a banner out of kraft cardstock using a die from Stitched Rectangle, and white heat embossed the "Pumpkins spice & everything nice" greeting from Happy Harvest on top. I attached all my elements, images and banner, on the card base using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and I finished my card by adding highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen.

Truckloads of Love Card with Gladys

Hello friends, Gladys here! I'm excited to be back on the blog with another autumn scene card featuring the Truckloads of Love stamp set. I love this set because it can be used throughout the year to celebrate all sorts of occasions from birthdays to Valentines, Christmas, this set got you covered! 

To start, I stamped the images from Truckloads of Love and Happy Harvest (sunflowers) using alcohol friendly ink. Then I colored them with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I used a die slightly smaller than A2 size to cut from Bristol Smooth cardstock. I masked off the edges so I can have a nice white border. Then I ink blended the panel using scattered straw, spiced marmalade and crackling campfire for the sky. For the bottom part of the panel, I used shabby shutters and mowed lawn distress oxide inks. To add more interest, I like to use a small paint brush to add tiny splatters of crackling campfire with a little bit of water.

Next, I die cut the road from dark gray cardstock and adhered it about half way up from the bottom of the panel. I placed the truck in the center and surrounded it with the sunflowers. Then I white heat embossed the sentiment on vellum and attached it to the top of the panel. Finally, I mounted the panel on pattern paper to frame this beautiful scene. I can't wait to use this set to create a different scene!

Brilliant Banner Die Focused Card with Isha

Hello everyone! Isha here with a winter-themed CAS card featuring the Brilliant Banner 2 die. I love how easy it is to match the new products with the older releases. The new banner dies give a beautiful 3d look.

I started by die-cutting a white panel using the Stitched Oval 2 die. Take a white piece sponge the pine trees using the Forest Trees Stencils with evergreen bough and blueprint sketch distress inks. Next flick white paint, Adhere this panel behind the white panel. Use the Dotted Diamond Portrait die and add the gorgeous texture. Adhere this panel to a teal card.

Die-cut the banner, and color using Copic markers. Stamp the sentiment from the Holiday Hugs stamp. Stamp the snowmen from the Feeling Frosty stamp, color using Copic markers, and die-cut using the coordinating dies. Adhere the banner and the snowmen using 3d foam.

Turkey Day Card with Bobbi

Calling all pie lovers… It’s Turkey Day! Bobbi here with you today. It’s almost time to eat pumpkin pie and this bunch of turkeys is encouraging pie eating over turkey eating! I’m using this fun new Turkey Day set along with its coordinating die set, the Moroccan Circles Embossing Folder, and the Classic Sunburst Paper Pack for this 5″ X 7″ card.

I stamped all of the turkeys, pumpkins, and accessories and colored them using Copic Sketch Markers. I cut them out using the coordinating dies. I also stamped a strip of white cardstock with the “Happy Thanksgiving” sentiment and matted it using a plaid paper from the Critter Country Paper Pack. I stamped two little leaves on each side of the sentiment and colored them in.

Here’s the colors I used to color the images:

• Turkeys: E43, E44, E57, E55, R46, white Gelly Roll Pen
• Hot Cocoa: R17, R46, B02
• Pumpkin Pies / slices: E43, E51, E53, E55, E57, B02 and C3 (pie tins), YR30 (whip cream), E17, E15
• Pumpkins: YR07, YR68, YR27, YR24, YR23, YR00
• Top Hat: G28, R46
• Sign: E42, E43, C7
• Shadows: C7, C3, C1
• Leaves: YG67, YG03

The cast of characters were attached to the starburst paper, with the foreground turkeys attached using foam tabs to make them stand out.

I attached the starburst pattern paper to the top half of the A7 card and added an embossed strip of white cardstock to the bottom. The matted sentiment strip was layered over the seam of the two papers to conceal the edges. I also added a speech bubble to the team of characters and added the pie and cocoa to the bubble. Yes, even turkeys love pumpkin spice latte and pumpkin pie!

Dotted Diamond Background Die Focused Card with Tammy

Hello friends! Tammy here sharing this festive card, featuring the new Dotted Diamond Portrait Die. This is such a fun and versatile die, adding the perfect texture to any project!

To begin, I stamped the images from the Jolly Gingerbread Stamps, colored with Copic markers, and die cut with the Jolly Gingerbread Dies. Next, I die-cut white cardstock using the largest rectangle from the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I then placed the Dotted Diamond Portrait Die face down on top of the stitched rectangle and ran it through my die-cut machine. 

I lightly blended Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink onto the top portion of the rectangle, then splattered it with water. I also splattered some Festive Berries Distress Oxide ink, thinned it with water, and then white acrylic paint to create some texture and interest to the background. 

I arranged the stamped images onto the inked background and attached them with foam tape for interest. I then stamped the sentiment onto a pink banner, die cut using the Brilliant Banner 1 Die. I attached the banner to the bottom of my card using foam tape, then added the red 'SWEET' sentiment die cut using the Sweet Word Die. Lastly, I attached my dotted diamond layer to a piece of candy cane striped paper, from the All is Bright 6X6 Paper pad to complete my card.
