Here Comes Santa Window Style Christmas Card with Mendi

Hello there!  It's Mendi here today with a fun Christmas card idea using our Here Comes Santa stamps.  I thought it would be cool to showcase them in a window style card using our Fancy Frames Circle dies and a couple of 3/16" wide strips of white cardstock.

To fill my window I started by inking my sky from bottom to top in Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire Distress inks blending them with my favorite Jumbo Dauber.  When I was done stamped my tree border (twice) and my Santa and reindeer along the top.  I then used a white extra fine Sharpie paint pen to draw in some stars (or snow--I can't decide which).

I completed my card with a banner stamped on pale yellow cardstock to match my moon using our Sunny Borders stamps which was inked up along the edges using Squeezed Lemonade distress inks.  I finished it off with a sentiment from our Gleeful Reindeer Stamps and a simple tone-on-tone striped paper from our Striped Silly Paper pack to give the look of wallpaper.

Happy Owlidays Non-Traditional Colored Christmas Card with Vanessa

Hi everybody! Vanessa here today with a cute Christmas card using Happy Owlidays. For this card, I picked non-traditional colors.

I started with a panel of white cardstock and stamped the images, masking off the previously stamped images before stamping the next. Then I masked a snow hill shape at the bottom and applied purple and yellow Distress Oxide inks with an ink blending tool. I applied droplets of white and purple paint and removed the masks, after which I used the Autumn Splendor stamp set for the trees.

Now I colored the images with Copics and added details with a white gel pen. After I had stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment, I die-cut the large Fancy Frame Rectangle from white cardstock, adhered it to my card base and added the panel to the card.

Rustic Winter Snowy Sky Background Christmas Card with Franci

Hi there! Franci here with you today, with an elegant Christmas card featuring the Rustic Winter die set.

I love this set of dies so much, and these woodland reindeer are so beautiful! I love keeping them white and make them pop against a dark/ bright background, but you could totally die cut them from kraft/brown cardstock or cut them out of white and color them with different mediums and techniques.

To make my card I first created my cardbase out of white cardstock. Then I masked the bottom and inked up the sky with Distress inks. I let them dry and I created a snowy sky effect with watercolors.

I die cut all of the elements from white cardstock and I glued them down with a combo of liquid glue and foam adhesive (to build dimension and give my little scene way more interest!).

Finally, I stamped the word "Christmas" from the Alpaca Holiday set with a brown ink and added a little sparkle red heart.

Foxy Christmas Spinner Card Tutorial with Juliana

Happy Holidays friends! It's Juliana and today I'm here to share a Christmas spinner card featuring the Foxy Christmas Stamp Set. I've put together a little tutorial to share with you on how to create the spinner and I hope you enjoy it.

First, stamp the adorable fox pair from the Foxy Christmas twice, color it and then die cut it using the coordinating dies. Repeat this with the holly leaves. Set these pieces to the side once the coloring and die cutting is complete.

The next step is to create the spinner part of the card. Use the smaller die from the Fancy Frames Circle die set to cut an opening out of top center of a piece of green cardstock trimmed to 4 x 5.25 inches.

Use this piece as a template to line up the die and repeat this on a second piece of green cardstock trimmed to 4 x 5.25.

Once again, use the same piece as a template to line up the die on your white card base trimmed to 4.25 x 8.5 and scored in half.

To add some texture to the card front, take one of the green pieces and emboss the front of it using the Cable Knit embossing folder.

Take a piece of thread and attach it to the back side of the opening. Adhere one of the fox images on one side of the thread and then adhere the other fox on the other side. Repeat this with the holly leaves. The leaves won't line up perfectly, but they were close enough for me!

Use adhesive tape to adhere the insides of the Fancy Frames Circle dies to the back side of the embossed piece of green cardstock. Line up the other piece of green cardstock and the inside circle frames and adhere it on top of this piece. Adhere this piece onto the white card base, once again lining up the die cut opening. Use a liquid adhesive to adhere the white circle frames on the inside of the card.

Stamp the sentiment from the Foxy Christmas stamp set onto a piece of white cardstock die cut using the ribbon slider die from the Fancy Frames Rectangle die set. Add a piece of ribbon and attach it to the card front. Finish off the card by adding a coordinating bow to the top of the frame.

Before you send the card, wind up the spinner by spinning the image around. Close the card and then place it in the envelope. When the recipient pulls it out and opens the card, the little foxes with spin around and around!

Sweater Vest Wrapped Up In Happy Holiday Card with Franci

Hi there and happy Monday! Franci here with you today, with a festive card featuring the Sweater Vest dies set.

This set is so cute and it creates the cutest little sweater shaped cards ever! I decided to pair it with the Foxy Christmas set today, to have a foxy festive lovely sweater. First, I created my sweater card by die cutting all of the elements from the Holiday Cheer paper pad, white cardstock and some red glittered cardstock. I assembled the card by gluing all  of the elements with liquid glue.

I stamped all of the images, colored them with Copics, and die cut everything with their coordinating dies. I also created a little banner to stamp my sentiment on and I glued everything down with foam adhesive. Finally I added some white details on to the little foxes and also on the patterned paper to add interest and dimension.

I love so much this fun and festive card, I planned to give this to my mom! Hope you like it to and thank you so much for stopping by today!

Guest Designer Spotlight: Winter Themed Cards with Leanne West

Hi everyone! Leanne West here with you today and for my last guest post of the year I’m sharing three projects that are very die-cut dominant. In fact only the sentiments are stamped. I put some the newest stand alone dies and Holiday Cheer paper pack to good use so let’s get started.

First up is a decorative tag. I always like to dress up little gifts such as this fun cocoa mix and marshmallow filled cone. I used the Build-A-Tag #1 dies (with rounded tops) to create two tags that I layered together slightly askew. I decorated the tag with the mug and mittens which are from the Warm & Cozy die set. I die cut the mug from kraft card stock. To lighten the kraft color, I sponged on some white pigment ink over mug.  

All pattern paper for my tags is from the Holiday Cheer paper pack except for the mittens.  The blue gingham paper I used for the mittens is from the Classic Gingham paper pack. I die cut a little banner for the sentiment. This die comes from the Fancy Frames Rectangle die set. I white heat embossed the sentiment which is from the Mug Hugs stamp set. I punched a hole in the sentiment banner and tied it plus the layered tags to the top of the cocoa mix cone with baker’s twine.  

For my second project I made a quick and easy shaped card using the Sweater Vest dies. I think this type of card will be perfect to enclose a gift card to the recipient’s favorite clothing store. Again I used pattern paper from the Holiday Cheer paper pack and some plain card stock for the white trim. That argyle works perfectly to adorn the front of the sweater and serves as ground for the sentiment. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment which is from the Alpaca Holiday stamp set.  

For my final project today I wanted to create a colorful holiday card using the adorable stocking hat in the Warm & Cozy die set. I started with a card base that measures 4 inches wide by 8.5 inches long. I cut a panel of light blue card stock that’s just a half inch narrower than the width of the card. I die cut a decorative border with one of the Stitched Scalloped dies and the multi color stripe pattern from the Holiday Cheer paper pack.  

I die cut all the components for the stocking hat to create five hats in different colors. I die cut the pom pom and trim out of white card stock and then sponged on a coordinating ink to make four of the hats monochromatic. I wanted the fifth hat to stand out so I used the same stripe as the border and added some die cut holly.  

I added a stamped and die cut sentiment. The stamped part of the sentiment is from the Festive Greetings stamp set which I white heat embossed on a thin strip of pink card stock.  From the same pink card stock I die cut letters using the Loopy Letters alphabet dies to spell out “warm & cozy”. Lastly I die cut several tiny snowflakes to embellish the top half of the card.
