Baking Spirits Bright Tags with Bobbi

Hello friends! It’s Bobbi here with holiday tags for happy bakers and cookie lovers! I am using the new, Baking Spirits Bright stamps and dies. The first tag was made using the largest die of the Stitched Arch dies for the tag base. Both tags feature greenery from the Winter Greenery dies, too.

For the first tag, I ink-blended Ranger’s Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink around the edges of the largest arch of the Stitched Arch die set cut from white cardstock. Tip: I always cut two tags so that I have a nice finished backing for my tags to add a to/from or message on the back.

Next, I stamped all of the images from the Baking Spirits Bright stamps and dies on a separate piece of white cardstock. I used Brushed Corduroy ink for the stamping. I colored all of the images using Copic Sketch Markers in R89, R46, R29, R17, R14, R22, and R20. I also used E57, E55, E53, and E51 for the brown tones. I stamped a sentiment from the same set at the top of the tag and then attached the images below it, popping up the gingerbread man and hot cocoa with foam tabs for added dimension.

I added some greenery sprigs and berries to the tag using the Winter Greenery dies and white and green cardstock. I splattered the whole tag with a little "white snow" using white paint and a fan brush. I attached a piece of baker’s twine string in red to finish the tag.

For the second tag, I clipped two corners of a 4-3/4" X 2-3/4″ rectangular-shaped piece of white cardstock to create a large-sized tag. I blended Vintage Photo, Brushed Corduroy and Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink around the edges and splattered water over the ink and blotted it with a paper towel for the splotchy effect.

I made a grey metal cookie sheet from a 2-1/4″ X 3-1/2″ piece of dark gray cardstock, I simply scored the two short edges 1/4″ in on both ends of the rectangle. It looks just like a cookie sheet I have in my cabinet!  I added five decorated sugar cookies to the cookie sheet, adding a foam tab under the center snowflake cookie to make it stand out a bit more, as if it is resting on the other cookies. I sprinkled the entire tag using Dr. PH Marten's white ink and a fan-shaped paint brush. I think it looks like powdered sugar all over the baking area!

I added some greenery sprigs to the tag using the Winter Greenery dies cut from white and green cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Baking Spirits Bright stamp set. Baker’s twine in red finishes the tag.

Turkey Day Card with Rachel

Hello crafty friends! It's Rachel here and I have two cards to share with you today that feature the adorable new Turkey Day Stamp Set. 

To start, I first stamped my images onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with some Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then colored my images with Copic Markers and used the coordinating Turkey Day Die Set to cut them out.

For my first card, I only used one turkey from the images that I colored along with two pumpkins. I combined this set with the gorgeous Frilly Frames Lattice Die Set as well as the Fancy Frames Circle Dies to create a scalloped frame around a basic circle that I had die cut from some white card stock.

I layered my lattice onto an A2 sized teal background that I had pulled from the Sweater Weather 6" x 6" Paper Pad. I heat embossed my sentiment onto my banner that I had die cut from some orange card stock using the Brilliant Banner 1 Die.

Lastly, I die cut some teal foliage from a variety of colored card stock pieces (as well as some heavy duty vellum) using the Winter Greenery Dies.

For my second project, I combined the Turkey Day Stamp Set along with the frame that comes with the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles Die. I die cut my frame from white card stock and layered it on a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of plaid blue patterned paper from the Joyful Holiday Paper Pad.

For my snow drifts, I used the negative pieces that I had die cut when die cutting the outer frame and fussy cut some rounded edges onto each piece with a pair of scissors. All of my images were added with some 3D foam adhesive tape for an extra pop of dimension.

Brilliant Banner Die Focused Card with Bobbi

Hello Sunny friends. It’s Bobbi sharing an 5″ X 7″ card featuring the new Brilliant Banner dies. Sunny Studio Stamps just released two shapes of banner dies and they come as #1 and #2. I am using the Brilliant Banner 2 die on my greeting today. I think these banners add elegance to a card. You can curve any appropriately-sized, straight, clear sentiment stamp on an acrylic block to fit the banner shape for maximum versatility and usage.

To make this card, I created the banner using three different green shades of cardstock. If you are missing a color, you can easily use a marker to color the piece to fit your shade scheme. I didn’t have the darkest green color so I colored that in with a Copic YG99 marker. I curved my "autumn blessings" sentiment (using our Turkey Day stamps) on an acrylic block to fit the banner curve and stamped the phrase in black. I attached the elements of the banner together, added white stitching to the banner’s edges using my white Gelly Roll pen. I added foam dots to the back and set it aside while I worked on the foliage.

For the foliage, I used the Winter Greenery die set. I love this set because all of the leaves are so beautiful for not only the winter season, but the fall season, too! There are berry dies in the set as well. I colored them using Copic Markers,  YR27 and R14 to make the red berries and E49 and E57 for the brown ones. Some of the berries were cut from green cardstock, making them a little darker. Small dots of white and black were added to the leaves to make them look imperfect. I also used YG99 to color the stems of the gold foliage.

 

For the background, I used the Stitched Arch Die (largest arch in the set) cut from a scrap of watercolor paper I had on hand. To make the frame, I attached the inverse of the arch die cut to a 4-1/2″ wide X 6-1/2″ tall warm gray cardstock using foam tabs and splattered the two with black watercolor paint. I love how this die included stitching on both the inverse and arch. Do you see the stitched detailing on my frame? I love it! I attached the foliage and the banner to the inside of the arch to frame it and attached the entire ensemble to a white card base to complete the card. I love how this card turned out and I hope it inspires you to try something similar, too!

Holiday Gift Tags with Vanessa and Tina

Hello to you! Vanessa here with a set of winter tags.

The tag base was created with the Stitched Arch dies and Kraft cardstock. I adhered Gift Card Pockets that were die-cut from Sweater Weather 6x6 paper and tied-on baker's twine.

Now I stamped the images from Mug Hugs, colored them with Copics, die-cut everything with the matching dies and adhered the pieces. Finally, I die-cut the "for you" from red cardstock and added it to the pockets.

I wanted to keep the tags neutral to be able to use them after Christmas. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!

Hello crafty friends, it’s Tina with two festive tags for you today! These tags were so fun to make, I simply adore the penguins from the Penguin Party set so I am featuring them again in this project. These cuties are colored with copic markers which are my favorite coloring medium.

I created the tag shapes with the dies from Mini Mat & Tag 3, but I did use the reinforcement ring from Mini Mat & Tag 4. I cut the tags from beautiful gray and pink sheets from the Joyful Holiday Papers.

The little wreaths were made out of shiny teal card stock using a die from my stash, but you can create one yourself by using two small circle dies from this infinity set or use branches from the Winter Greenery Dies. I stacked two wreaths from slightly different teal colors for dimension. There wasn’t much space left for a sentiment but the ‘Merry Christmas’ from Bear Hugs was just the perfect fit! 

To embellish the tags I glued a mini pompom to the Christmas hats and scattered a few pink gems from the Pastel Jewel Mix onto the little wreaths. To finish I added white and pink ribbons and that completes these two sweet tags!

Snow One Like You Cards with Tina and Vanessa

Hello crafty friends, it’s Tina with a new Christmas card for you featuring the adorable Snow One Like You stamp and die set. Each year during the holiday season we always receive a few cards with photos of families and friends. So, I thought it would be fun if the sweet girl was pictured together with some of her frosty besties!

I love to mix and match my stamps and dies and in the Sunny Studio shop you’ll find several cute snowmen sets. Today, I am also using the Feeling Frosty set and Snowman Kisses. After stamping and die cutting all my images I colored them with Copic markers in bright happy colors.

The background panel consists of a rectangle of Neenah Solar White card stock inked up with Distress Oxides  Salvaged Patina and Uncharted Mariner, sprinkled with some water droplets and white paint for extra interest. I added two white snowbanks to this panel. The frame of the card was made out of a piece of pretty gray snowflake paper from Joyful Holiday Paper cut with two rectangle dies. For my sentiment, I combined text blocks from Reindeer Games and stamped them directly to a narrow white strip.

And then I was ready to assemble the card, I mounted the snowflake border to the background panel with foam tape for dimension. Next, I placed the largest three snowmen in the second row and attached them with glue dots. I like using glue dots when I am not completely sure of my placement. I can easily remove images and shift them in place. The images in the front row were added with foam tape, as well as the sentiment banner. I glued the entire panel to a teal card base and used my white gel pen for some final touches of snow and detail.

My pile of Christmas cards is growing, and I am almost done with my stash for 2022. I hope you are enjoying making your holiday cards too! Thank you for visiting the blog and I’ll see you soon!

Hello to you! Vanessa here with a new Christmas card using the super adorable Snow One Like You set.

I first trimmed a panel of Kraft cardstock slightly smaller than my white card base, applied white ink droplets and adhered it to the card. Now I stamped the cute image, colored it with Copics, die-cut it with the matching die and adhered the piece with foam tape. I stamped the large sentiment with two pink tones, die-cut it and adhered it. Then I die-cut the leaves and the snowflakes, colored the holly with Copics and adhered the die-cuts.

After I had stamped the small sentiment with Versamark ink onto black cardstock, I heat-embossed it with white embossing powder, trimmed the strips from it and adhered these, too. Finally, I added highlights with a white gel pen and adhered the pearls for the berries.

Mini Mat & Tag Die Focused Projects with Vanessa and Tina

Hello to you! Vanessa here with a set of Christmas tags using the Mini Mat & Tag dies.

These dies are such fun to play with! I die-cut tags, rectangles, stars, shapes etc from white, black, vellum and gold cardstock and combined these to create various tags. 

For an interactive feature, I die-cut a window from two rectangles, adhered vellum to both sides and filled the inside with small stars and sequins.

Onto some of the tiny tags I stamped "noel" and added a little star to replace the diereses.

Hello crafty friends, it’s Tina with two mini cards for you today. I love making this smaller size card because it always looks so cute! Especially for the holiday season, it’s fun to create something different than the standard A2 size.

There are 4 beautiful mini mats with tags in the new release, today I am featuring the rectangle dies from Mini Mat & Tag 2 and Mini Mat & Tag 3. I used a smaller rectangle from the Infinity set to create a frame from both mats. Next, I also created two rectangle panels from Neenah card stock and ink blended the sky portion with a soft green combination of Distress Oxide Cracked Pistachio and Lucky Clover. Since these are Christmas cards, of course I had to do some splattering with water and white paint droplets to give the illusion of snowflakes. To finish the background panel, I cut two snowbanks from a shiny white card stock I had in my stash.

I stamped all my images using Reindeer Games (the cute reindeer), Santa Claus Lane (stockings) and the Penguin Party set (stars). All the coloring was done with Copic markers, adding snow details with a white gel pen.

The Autumn Tree die was perfect as branches to hang the stockings. Since these are mini cards, I only needed to cut one tree and divided it in half for each of the cards. I wanted the branches to look frosted, so I only added some warm grey tones in a few spots. The sentiment from Reindeer Games was stamped onto two skinny strips of white card stock.

I created two white mini card bases and glued a dark teal panel to both. Next, I worked on my background panel, gluing the branches in place, adding the snowbanks and finally the reindeer, stockings, and stars. Then, I mounted the Mini Mat frames to the backgrounds with foam tape for dimension. After adhering the sentiments, I could glue the mini mat frames to the card bases.

These mini cards turned out so cute, and they were a lot of fun to make! Thank you for joining me and happy crafting!
