That Sucks Vacuum Card with Lindsey

Hi, Lindsey here today sharing a sympathy card using That Sucks. That little vacuum is just the cutest and works well for "I'm sorry" cards and even little Valentine cards by simply changing the sentiment. Let's get started.

Sunny Studio Stamps: I'm Sorry... That Sucks Vacuum themed Card by Lindsey Sams.

I decided to make my card a little smaller than the typical A2 size, so I made my card base a 4 bar card size (3 1/2 x 4 7/8). I decided to use a striped grey paper for the card base. Next, I cut a smaller stitched rectangle from white card stock. This is the panel I did some ink blending on and stamped my sentiment. I used a cloud border as a stencil to create a sort of cloud of soot or dirt. I wanted it to look like the vacuum was sucking up a bunch of dirt.

I stamped the little vacuum with a face onto a separate sheet of white card stock, colored it with Copic markers and cut it out using the coordinating die. I adhered it to the "dirt" panel using foam tape. I also drew some little dirt clouds behind the vacuum using a grey Copic marker. Before adhering the stitched rectangle to the card base, I decided to back it on some blue card stock to add a little color. Once the blue was added, I adhered it to the card base. That's it.

Color Me Happy Sun Ray Card with Emily

Sunny Studio Stamps: Color Me Happy & Sun Ray Be A Pop of Color Card by Emily Leiphart.

I'm so excited to share this card using Color Me Happy and the Sun Ray Die Set from the brand new release! I used the largest circle from the die set to create the sun and I dry embossed the sun rays into the watercolour panel, before adding colour with my Gansai paint palette.

The clouds are from the Little Angels stamp set and the bee and hearts are from the Backyard Bugs stamp set.  All of the images and custom sentiment were heat embossed. The sentiment itself was stamped with black pigment ink and heat embossed with sparkle embossing powder. The large scripted word 'color' was stamped with watermark ink and I used a spoon to sprinkle embossing powder in three colours (full supply list on my blog).
