Quilted Hearts Die Focused Cards with Franci and Gladys

Happy Wednesday everyone! It's Franci here with you today with a fun card featuring the Quilted Hearts Dies. This new background die is so much fun!

First I die cut it out of yellow cardstock, backed it up with pink paper, resized it and glued it down onto the front of my white cardbase, then added a stripe of light blue cardstock. 

I stamped my cute penguins from the Passionate Penguins set, colored them with copics and cut them out with their coordinated dies.

I stamped my sentiment from the same set and glued the image down with foam adhesive. Finally I added a little heart and some details with a white gel pen.

Hello crafty friends!! Gladys here and I'm back to share a sweet card using more cute stamps and dies from the new release. I'm enjoying the new products, they are so versatile because you can use the stamps with many occasions. For example these bunnies are from the Bunnyville stamp set which is meant for Easter but instead I used it for a Valentine's card.

For the main panel I used the Quilted Hearts Landscape die to cut from a light blue cardstock. I backed the panel using a red cardstock to give the hearts color. The Quilted Hearts dies come in portrait and landscape version to give you more possibilities. Next I used the Scalloped Oval Mat 1 die to set my scene. I stamped the flowers, butterfly and a couple of bunnies from the Bunnyville stamp set. I colored them with alcohol markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

To ground the images I used a grass stencil and distress inks in mowed lawn and tumbled glass to create the background. I mounted the stamped images with double sided foam tape before adhering them to the scene. To complete the card, I stamped the sentiment from Balloon Rides above the bunnies.

Lovey Dovey Cards with Isha and Kavya

Hello everyone! Isha here today featuring the new Lovey Dovey stamp set. I really like the font and the sentiments in this set, it's totally versatile. I decided to make a feminine card with lots of layers. I kept the pastel shades, to keep the sentiment a focal point.

I started by die-cutting the Stitched Rectangle using pattern paper from the Flirty Flowers paper pack. Adhere to a white cardbase. Die-cut the frame from the Fancy Frames  Rectangle dies, adhere vellum to the back, tie a yellow floss to this and adhere to the card using 3d foam. Die-cut the circle using the Stitched Circle Small dies, sponge kitsch flamingo distress ink to the center. 

Stamp the sentiment from the Lovey Dovey stamp set, die-cut using the coordinating dies. Die-cut one more time using yellow cardstock. Layer this slightly offset. Adhere to the circle. 

Stamp and emboss the flowers from the Cherry Blossoms stamp set. Stamp the leaves using mint ink. This is a layering stamp set for a beautiful dimensional look but if you are in the coloring mood, simply stamp and emboss one of the layers using white embossing powder onto watercolor paper. Add color using watercolors. Die-cut using the coordinating dies. Create a cluster of your liking.

Hi folks, Kavya here. I am back on the blog with another fun project! This one was super exciting for me because I don’t made interactive cards that often… I mean I might have made just 2-3 in my card making journey! I want to change that so get ready for many interactive cards this year.

I first started off by creating a card base using the Sliding Window die. The instructions for assembling the base can be found on the website. For the sliding window portion, I ink blended a scene using Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, Stormy Sky and Mowed Lawn distress oxide inks. 

For the land, I die cut green cardstock using Slimline Nature Border dies. For the inner message (blue part in my card), I used Sweater Weather cardstock and for the part behind the sliding window (green in my card), I used All is Bright cardstock. For best results with this die, try using a lighter weight paper. I used 110lb for the sliding window but the other ones are just plain patterned paper stuck on top of 60lb cardstock. 

Then, I stamped and colored multiple images from Garden Fairy and Home Sweet Gnome stamp sets. For the top fairy and butterfly, I used some acetate so that it would look like these images are floating when the window is slid! Then, I heat embossed a sentiment from Lovey Dovey on green cardstock. 

For the message on the top, I die cut the stitched bracket label from the Sliding Window die and stamped a sentiment from Inside Greetings Birthday sentiments. For the pull tab, I used a few elements from another interactive die and stamp set. Feel free to just add a ribbon on the top.

That’s it! Wasn’t that a fun card? I absolutely had so much making it … even if I probably made it 4 times before I got it right! Happy Crafting!

Heart Shaped Die Focused Cards by Mayra and Ashley

Happy Monday everyone, Mayra here! I am sharing this sweet card with you today using the wonderful new Stitched Heart 2 dies.

I began by die-cutting the layers for the card, I used the medium and smaller-sized hearts from the Stitched Heart 2 dies I die-cut the hearts from a patterned paper from the Flirty Flowers set. I also used the Scalloped Heart die set, the Quilted Hearts Landscape die, and the Sweet Word die. 

Next, I colored the images from the super cute Passionate Penguins stamp set using Copic markers. I used N8, C5, Y19, Y08, Y11, YR30, E41, and R30 for the penguins. I then used the sentiment from the Candy Shoppe stamp set to complete the phrase for the card.

Hello friends! It's Ashley with another cute Valentine card that is perfect for a loved one or friend! The new Heart Dies make creating Valentine's so easy!

I started by cutting the largest Scalloped Heart die from a piece of violet cardstock stock. I topped this with a regular white heart made with the largest Stitched Heart 2 die. This made a nice backdrop for my images. I really like the look of these hearts on a square base, so I trimmed a piece of Flirty Flowers paper in the purple quilted hearts pattern to 4.5" square to ground my heart. 

I stamped the cute driving penguin pair from Passionate Penguins in Pinkfresh Studio Detail Black ink as well as the balloon set from Heart Bouquet onto Bristol smooth cardstock. I colored the images in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and cut them out with the matching dies. I added a few details with a white gel pen, then glued them to the card. I finished with a sentiment from Critters on the Go that I stamped in VersaMark ink on black cardstock and embossed with white.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Cards with Barbara Tarayao

Hi there! I'm Barbara and I am thrilled to be a guest designer for sunny studios! I just think valentine cards are so fun to make. I love the colors! I have been paper crafting for over 20 years now. It's my way to relax. If you asked me what kind of card is my favorite to make I would have to say I love it all! I'm obsessed with making cards so I guess whatever season it is that's my favorite card to make!, to share a few projects that I made using the new release.

This is a mini-slim line card I made using the Passionate Penguins stamp set and the Heart Bouquet stamp set. The love is die cut from the Loopy Letters dies. I masked off a rectangle and ink blended pink clouds with distress ink. I stamped and colored the images with Copic markers and fussy cut them out and adhered them to the front of the card.

I used the loopy letters alphabet dies for the sentiment cut from white card stock. I stamped the flowers from the Cherry Blossoms stamp set in several shades of dye ink. I fussy cut them out and adhered to a white card stock panel that I ink blended with Distress ink to highlight the sentiment. I added some clear drops for a bit of sparkle.

I made some mini-Valentine cards using the Passionate Penguins stamp set and for the background I used the Quilted Hearts Landscape die. I colored the images in with Copic markers and fussy cut them out and adhered them with the sentiments with foam tape.
