Sweet Treat Projects with Candice and Rachel

You know the saying, right - "better late then never"? We somehow missed sharing the exciting news of the newest addition to our Sunny Studio Design Team last week. You may have noticed a new designer on the blog last Friday, and today we want to officially introduce the talented Candice Fisher to the Sunny Studio team!! We know you're going to love her work as much as we do! You can follow all of her crafty creations on her blog, Instagram, and Pinterest.

Hello to my fellow crafters, it's Candice here sharing a different use for the new sweet treat house add-on! It is an awesome accessory for the new sweet treat bag, but can be used for so much more!

The adorable new release products I used:
I began my slimline card by creating an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base which fits perfectly into the size 9A envelopes. For the background, I inked the sky using chipped sapphire, faded jeans & blueprint sketch and splattered some white paint using a damp paint brush.

While the sky dried, I created the adorable mouse house by first, trimming the green pattern paper to fit the card and then the shingles with the grey pattern. Next, I die cut all the windows, doors and accessories, some multiple times to get the dimension I wanted. I set those aside a moment to stamp the micechimney & christmas lights, colored with Copic markers and then cut out using the coordinating dies to each set.

To put it all together, I added the santa mouse to the chimney with the singles angled over the pop dotted house. I was then able to add all the house accessories with cheesy goodness in the windows!

For the front of the house, I die cut the snow hills making sure I stamped the sentiment before adhering. I finished it all with the shiny layered merry, a few sweet treats on the wreath and a string of lights!

I hope I have inspired you to take a second look at your dies to use them in different ways! Thank you for visiting!

Hello, crafty friends! It's Rachel here and I have a Christmas gift bag to share with you today that focuses on the new Sweet Treat House Add-on Die Set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sweet Treat Box Feeling Frosty Scenic Route Woodland Borders Holiday Themed Gift Bag by Rachel Alvarado

I first created a gift bag using the Sweet Treat Bag Dies and some green patterned paper from the Very Merry 6x6 Paper Pad. The Sweet Treat Bag Die Set makes the cutest gift bags and is versatile enough to make three different styles of bags.

Once my bag was assembled, I used the Sweet Treat House Add-on Die Set to create a cute little house for the front of my bag. I love using patterned paper and added some details to my roof and front door using the Holiday Cheer 6x6 Paper Pad.

I also added a stitched snow drift by die cutting some White Card Stock with one of the Woodland Border Dies. To complete my scene, I added a few adorable snowmen from the new Feeling Frosty Stamp Set. I stamped my images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copics. I die cut the wreath from the front door from some smooth white card stock and also colored that piece with Copics (YG01, YG07, YG17, G28) to give it some depth.

I hope you enjoyed my gift bag today! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Snowflake Frame Dies Focused Cards with Vanessa and Anja

Hello to you! Vanessa here today with a winter card using the beautiful Snowflake Frames dies.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Snowflake Frame Dies Circle Snowflake Frame Dies Feeling Frosty Winter Themed Card by Vanessa Menhorn

I started by inking the front of my white card base with various Distress Oxide inks. Then I die-cut the Layered Snowflake Frame Die from a panel of white cardstock and adhered it. I die-cut the snowflakes and stars from the Snowflake Circle Frame Die and adhered them.

Now I stamped the sentiment from Feeling Frosty onto a strip of black cardstock, heat-embossed it with white embossing powder, trimmed it and adhered it to the card. Finally, I added clear sequins.

These Snowflake Frames are wonderful, I love their versatility! See you next week!

------------------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone, Anja here and today I'm back again with another winter-themed card featuring the Layered Snowflake Dies. I picked nontraditional, feminine colors and one of the adorable snowmen from the Feeling Frosty set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Snowflake Frame Dies Feeling Frosty Winter Themed Card by Anja Bytyqi

First, I did an ink blended background with warm-toned Distress Oxide Inks (Seedless Preserves, Worn Lipstick and Dried Marigold). I sprinkled on some random water droplets to lift the color here and there. To create the look of falling snow, I added white acrylic paint splatters with a brush.

Next, I die cut the smaller snowflake frame from white cardstock using an additional metal shim because of the intricate details. I stamped the sentiment below in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. For a little bit of dimension, I adhered the snowflake frame panel over the ink blended background with foam tape. I stamped the snowman in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with Copic Markers. I cut it out with the coordinating die.

To embellish my card, I die cut individual snowflakes from white and golden glitter cardstock. I adhered White Pearls to the middle of the snowflake die-cuts (I colored three of them with Copics to match the gold). Finally, I added a little heart die-cut and three white Clay Snowflakes.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Until next time!

Embossing Folder Focused Cards with Franci and Ana

Hi there! Franci here with you today, with a fun pastel winter card showcasing lots of the new Sunny Studio products.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Feeling Frosty Scenic Route Embossing Folder Winter Themed Card by Franci Vignoli

I started by making my card base out of white cardstock as always, then I also cut out a smaller panel and I embossed it with the new Woodgrain Embossing folder. This effect is amazing, I was waiting for the perfect woodgrain texture and here it is!

Then I stamped, colored with Copics and die cut lots of images from these sets: Scenic Route + coordintaed dies, Hogs and Kisses coordinated diesFeeling Frosty and Santa Claus Lane + coordinated dies. I stamped all the snowmen inside the speech bubbles and achieved a clean look by masking just the bottom edge of the bubbles, but you can also die cut the snowmen with their coordinated dies and glue them on top for an alternative look :)

I glued everything down with liquid glue + foam tape and added a little stripe of this beautiful rainbow striped paper from the new Very Merry 6x6 Paper pack. Then I also added a thin strip of pink flock to give my card a fun fuzzy feeling. Finally I added some white Nuvo Drops here and there as embellishments.

Hope you like my card and thank you so much for stopping by today!

Hello friends! Ana here today with a card featuring beautiful brand new Buffalo Plaid Embossing Folder! I have decided to dress up today’s card as a holiday present and the Buffalo Plaid embossing folder gave me the perfect look and texture.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Holiday Style Frilly Frame Dies Embossing Folder Holiday Card by Ana Anderson

I created red background panel by die cutting patterned paper from new Very Merry 6x6 paper pack with Frilly Frames Lattice scalloped outline die. I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 3 x 4 ¼ ‘’, embossed it with Buffalo Plaid embossing folder and added two strips of the same red patterned paper I used for the background.

Next, I adhered embossed panel to the red background with foam tape. I heat embossed the sentiment (from Holiday Style stamp set) onto a small vellum tag (from Wrap Around Box Dies set) then out of gold glitter paper, die cut the bow (from Santa’s Stocking Dies). I added the tag and bow to the front of the card then adhered completed panel to A2 size card base and my holiday present card was finished!

Thank you for stopping by today and spending some time with us - I really hope you like today’s project and got inspired! I’ll see you next week and until then - Happy Crafting!

Scenic Route Cards with Juliana and Angelica

Hello Sunny Studio Friends! It's Juliana here and today I'm sharing a Christmas card with a nontraditional color scheme using the Scenic Route Stamp Set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Scenic Route Santa Claus Lane Frilly Frame Dies Christmas Card by Juliana Michaels

One of the first ideas that came to mind when I saw the Scenic Route Stamp Set was to create a repeat background with it. To do this, I stamped the image multiple times down a piece of watercolor paper cut to 4.25 x 5.5 inches. Because the stamp was wider than the paper, I was able to shift the stamp slightly so that each image looked slightly different than the one above or below it.

I stamped the image with embossing ink and heat embossed each image with white embossing powder. Once all of the stamping and embossing was complete, I grabbed my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers in a mix of pinks, purples, blues and greens to achieve a nontraditional color scheme. I colored in the houses by adding a touch of color to the edges and I used a water brush to blend the colors and give it some shading.

Once the coloring was complete, I die cut the panel with the stitched rectangle from the Frilly Frames Retro Petals Die. I then cut a piece of striped purple paper from the Striped Silly 6x6 Paper Pad using the scalloped edged die from the Frilly Frames Hexagon Die.
The sentiment was stamped using words from the Santa Claus Lane Stamp Set. To finish it off, I added some pink pearls from the Rainbow Pearls.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed learning how to create this card with a nontraditional color scheme and the Scenic Route Stamp Set.

Hi friends, Angelica here with a cheerful holiday card featuring the new Scenic Route Stamp Set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Scenic Route Season's Greetings Frilly Frame Dies Christmas Card by Angelica Conrad

This stamp set comes with four holiday borders that you can use to build scenes. I used the row of houses for my card, stamping it onto white card stock. I colored the scene with Copic Markers, and used the coordinating die to die cut the top of the image. I added a stitched border with the large rectangle from Frilly Frames Retro Petals Die Set

Sunny Studio Stamps: Scenic Route Season's Greetings Frilly Frame Dies Christmas Card by Angelica Conrad

For the background, I ink-blended Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide inks onto Bristol Smooth paper. Once the ink was dry, I stamped and white heat-embossed Season's Greetings from the Season's Greetings Stamp Set. I stamped and white heat-embossed snow flakes from Scenic Route, then trimmed the panel with the same stitched rectangle die. I attached the homes with thin foam squares to the panel, and attached the card to a card base with foam adhesive.

I love this bold sentiment, and it just pops on the bright background! I hope I have helped with ideas for Scenic Route stamp set. That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Garland Frame Focused Cards with Eloise and Leanne

Hi friends, Eloise here and today I’m using the Christmas Garland Frame Dies along with Season’s Greetings Stamp Set to create a Christmas Card.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Christmas Garland Frame Dies Season's Greetings Christmas Card by Eloise Blue

I started off with die cutting the Christmas Garland Frame die from white cardstock. I had to use a metal shim for this to make sure I got a nice clean cut. I repeated this step with a piece of green cardstock and then also die cut out some berries from the set too out of red cardstock.

I then took a piece of watercolour cardstock and ink blended some Evergreen Bough, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio onto the bottom half of the piece and faded up to white. I then flicked on some water and dried it off with a heat tool to create the water splotch effect. Once the background was done, I stamped down the large ‘Season’s and Greeting’s sentiment with black ink from Season’s Greetings. I then clear heat embossed over it to make sure I didn’t smudge it.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Christmas Garland Frame Dies Season's Greetings Christmas Card by Eloise Blue

I then cut apart the white frame die cut and adhered half of it at the bottom of my card panel and then a small strip at the top. I also cut apart some of the green pine needles and adhered them around my card on top of the white, just for a bit of variation. I added foam tape onto the red berries and adhered them in place too.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I’ll see you all next week.

Hello everyone, Leanne here! I have a festive holiday card to share today. I've relied upon lots of die cutting to create this design.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Christmas Garland Frame Dies Circle Snowflake Frame Dies Season's Greetings Christmas Card by Leanne West

I decided to go with a non traditional Christmas color palette of pink, teal, and mint green. This card is A2 size and I started by creating the ink blended background using Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink. I then generously splattered the background with thinned white acrylic paint. I used the Christmas Garland Frame to die cut the pine sprig border.

I decorated the pine border with die cut lights and snowflakes. The mini light bulb die is a freebie with an order from the Sunny Studio shop. I added Glossy Accents to the bulbs for a nice shiny finish. The snowflakes were cut out with a die from the Snowflakes Circle Frame set. To give the lights a more realistic look, I added some thin silver metallic twine to connect them.

For the greeting, I die cut Merry Christmas from Tonic Studios Turquoise Lake Glitter Card and added to the center of the card front with liquid adhesive. To finish off the card, I adhered some little pearl embellishments to the center of the snowflakes.
