Silly Sloths Card with Cathy

Hey friends! Cathy here today sharing a slothsome summer card today! I looked up some fun facts about sloths and learned that Costa Rica has one of the largest sloth populations. So, these 2 cuties are hanging out near a Costa Rican beach!

I started this card with the beach background. I cut a piece of white cardstock 3 1/2" x 4 1/4" and die-cut a piece of eclipse masking tape using the sand portion of the Tropical Trees Backdrop Die. I masked the top portion of the cardstock piece and inked the sand with Antique Linen Distress ink. I then masked the sand and the sky portion of the cardstock and inked the ocean with Simon Says Stamp Seafoam ink. I placed a post-it note across the horizon line covering the bottom of the cardstock and inked the sky with Dried Marigold, Spun Sugar and Tumbled Glass Distress inks. I stamped the sentiment using stamps from the Silly Sloths Stamps and the Fabulous Flamingos Stamps.

Next, I cut a strip of orange paper 1/4" x 4 1/4" and a strip of pink paper 1/2" x 4 1/4" from the Summer Splash Paper. I overlapped my background panel on these strips and adhered them together. I also cut a thin strip of black cardstock, overlapped it at the bottom and adhered the combined piece to an A2 card front 1/2" from the top edge.

To finish, I stamped images from the Silly Sloths Stamps and the Beach Buddies Stamps on Neenah Classic Crest 80lb solar white cardstock, colored them with Copics and fussy cut them out. I also die-cut a monstera leaf using the Summer Greenery Dies from white cardstock, colored it with Copics and adhered it to the bottom of my scene for a little extra tropical feel.

Slice of Summer Card with Cathy

Hey friends! Cathy here today sharing a fresh summer card featuring the Slice of Summer Stamps. Summer is my favorite season and I just love making tropical cards!

This is an A2 size card and I’ve combined some beautiful tropical products on this one. I started by die-cutting a piece of white cardstock using the largest Stitched Rectangle Die and inked it with Kitsch Flamingo Distress ink. I then embossed it using the Moroccan Circles Embossing Folder. I matted it on black cardstock and adhered it to the card front.

 

Next, I die-cut a piece of white cardstock using the largest Fancy Frames Oval Die. For the ocean background on this piece, I placed a post-it note across the oval 1 1/2" from the bottom and inked the bottom of the oval with Antique Linen Distress ink. I left the post-it note in place and die-cut a piece of eclipse masking tape using the sand portion of the Tropical Trees Backdrop Die. I placed this across the very bottom of the oval and inked the ocean with Peacock Feathers Distress ink. I inked lighter in some areas to allow a little of the Antique Linen ink to show through as a reflection of the sky on the water. I removed the masks and placed the post-it note over the ocean/sand. I then inked the sky with Kitsch Flamingo, Dried Marigold, Scattered Straw and Tumbled Glass Distress inks. I heat embossed the HELLO sentiment from the Radiant Plumeria Stamps with black embossing powder 2” from the top of the oval and 1” from the left edge.

I die-cut the largest Fancy Frames Oval Die from black cardstock and adhered the frame to the ocean background on the card front. I die-cut the Tropical Trees Backdrop Die from black cardstock and adhered the largest palm tree and a seagull.

 

To finish, I stamped the limes from the Slice of Summer Stamps using Simon Says Stamp Celery, Limelicious and Pearfection inks and die-cut them using the coordinating dies. I stamped the plumeria from the Radiant Plumeria Stamps using various pink and yellow inks from my stash and die-cut it using the coordinating dies. Finally, I heat embossed the “Summer” sentiment from the Radiant Plumeria Stamps on black cardstock with white embossing powder and fussy cut around the sentiment.

Rainy Days Die Focused Cards with Waleska and Marine

Hello Friends. Waleska here, and I am so happy to be back with a new card inspiration for you. I used the super cute Rainy Day Dies and the beautiful Big Bold Greetings stamps.

To create this card I started choosing a pattern paper from the Spring Fever patterned paper as color inspiration. I had the idea of creating a rainy day with lots of grey clouds, to do that I used a cloud stencil and Pumice Stone Oxide ink. I then cut all the pieces to create four umbrellas from white cardstock, I added some color to them with the following inks: Salty Ocean, Mustard Seed, Wilted Violet and Lucky Clover Oxide inks. For the umbrella bases I used grey cardstock. I wanted to add some sparkle to this cute umbrellas so I used Moonstone Glimmer paste to the bottom of all the umbrellas, for the umbrella handles I used copic markers trying to match the same colors I used before.

I finally adhered the umbrellas with 3D foam tape and cut a bunch of water drops from a blue cardstock and I add them around my rainy day scene. For the sentiment I used the handwritten phrase "Miss You" from the Big Bold Greetings stamps. I love how this card, specially to give it to someone you miss in your life. Hi crafty friends! Marine here, back with a happy and cheerful slimline infinity shaker card showcasing the adorable Rainy Days from the new Spring 2023 collection. 

I started off by cutting an 8,5" x 4,5" bristol panel, and I used a cloud stencil along with tumbled glass and salty ocean oxide inks to create a very simple background.

Next I created the infinity shaker pocket. I cut a plastic sleeve (like the ones we put in binders for school) to get a single sheet of plastic. I added double sided tape on the four edges of that plastic sheet, I placed my cloudy panel in the middle of it, and while keeping the panel in place with my left hand, I cut the four plastic corners off, and this way created four plastic tabs on each side of the cloudy panel. I folded and attached three of those tabs at the back of the cloudy panel, poured a million iridescent confetti inside the plastic pocket, and then folded and attached the remaining tab to totally close the pocket. 

Next I cut the different elements using Rainy Days. I cut the base of the umbrellas out of white cardstock. For the handle I used a light grey cardstock. And for the top and main part, I cut two types of papers: plain colored cardstock, and Spring Fever pattern papers. I assembled the colorful top pieces, as well as the handles on the plain white umbrellas, and once my five umbrellas were complete, I attached them on the shaker panel using 1mm foam squares. And to bring even more sparkles to this card, I cut and attached some gold glitter clouds using dies from the Tropical Trees Backdrop die set.

And then I asked myself "What could I add to bring more cuteness to those umbrellas?" And I thought that smiley faces would be fun. So I searched my entire collection of Sunny Studio die sets, and came across the Nutty For You die set that includes small dies to create cute faces. So I cut those five smiles and five pairs of eyes out of black cardstock, and glued them all on the umbrellas.

For my greeting, I started by cutting a red banner using a die from the Stitched Rectangle die set. I white heat embossed the phrase "Showering you with love" from Spring Showers, and I attached that banner using foam squares again. And last but not least, I added white highlights to the umbrella's eyes to kind of give them more personality. And that's it, the cutest umbrellas to brighten someone's day! Snow One Like You Cards with Bobbi and Cathy

Hello Sunny friends. It’s Bobbi here with a couple of festive tags featuring the new Snow One Like You stamps and dies. 

This sweet snowman and girl duo are adorably cute and the perfect size to use with the Mini Mat & Tag die sets.

For my first tag, I used the Mini Mat & Tag 1 dies for the mat and Mini Mat & Tag 2 dies for the tag. I cut the mat from a pattern paper from the Joyful Holiday Paper Pack and the tag from white cardstock.  I stamped and colored the snowman and girl using Copic markers in BV000, YG67, YG03, R29, R14, RV09, RV55, C100, C07, C05 and C03.

I attached the tag to the mat and used foam tabs to attach the snowman/girl image. The foam tabs make it stand out a bit from the background. This is such a quick tag to make. I just added a bold sentiment at the top using the Holiday Greetings Sentiments stamps and dies and a baker’s twine string to finish the tag. I will write my to/from on the back of the pattern paper before attaching the tag.

My second tag is similar to the first. I used the mat from the Mini Mat & Tag 2 die set and the tag from Mini Mat &Tag 4 die set. I used the sentiment from the Snow One Like You stamp set. The pattern paper is also from the Joyful Holiday Paper Pack.

I colored the image in red/green/white colors for a more traditional look. I added some faux white stitching around the mini mat using my Gelly Roll white pen. A few snowflakes and iridescent gems finish off this bright, red tag.

Hey friends! Cathy here today with a fun card featuring the Snow One Like You Stamps. This adorable stamp reminds me of Frosty the Snowman! The cute little girl and her pups are welcoming him to their home for Christmas!

I started this mini slimline card by creating the front of the house. This took a little bit of time, but it was a fun process! First, I cut a piece of off-white cardstock 3 1/4" x 3 1/4". To create the brickwork, I die-cut a small rectangle die from the Gingerbread House Dies from off-white cardstock numerous times and adhered them in staggered rows to the cardstock piece. I trimmed off any “bricks” that overlapped the edges. I also added random areas of gray with a Copic marker. For the roof, I die-cut 2 scalloped edge dies from the Sweet Treat House Add-On from black cardstock and used a Versamark pen with white embossing powder for snow. I adhered them to the top of the cardstock piece and trimmed the edges on both sides with scissors. I cut a piece of black cardstock 1” x 3 1/4" and adhered it tucked slightly under the bottom edge of the 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" cardstock piece. I then adhered this combined piece to the top of a 3 1/4” x 6 1/4" card front.

For the snowdrifts, I die-cut the Tropical Trees Backdrop Die from white cardstock and cut the “sky” portion of the die-cut to 2 3/4" x 3 1/4". I heat embossed a sentiment from the Santa Claus Lane Stamps and adhered this piece to the bottom of the card front. I repeated this process for the small snowdrifts at the very bottom of the card. I cut a “sky” portion to 1” x 3 1/4" and adhered it to the bottom and then adhered a “sand” portion on top and trimmed the edges with scissors.

I die-cut the door, wreath and bow from the Sweet Treat House Add-on. For extra dimension on the door, I die-cut the center panels 3 times and layered them and colored the wreath with Copics. I die-cut the window from the Gingerbread House Dies and stamped, colored and fussy cut the lamppost from the Paris Afternoon Stamps.

I stamped the images on Neenah Classic Crest 80lb solar white cardstock, colored them with Copics and die-cut them using the coordinating dies. I used the following stamps and dies:

To finish, I used a BG000 Copic under the images and around the bottom snowdrifts to help them stand out more and add a bit of color to the white snow.

Mini Mat & Tag Die Focused Cards by Cathy and Bobbi

Hey friends! Cathy here today with a few tropical Christmas projects for everyone living in a sunny, warm climate and everyone who wishes they were! Even though I live in the South, it can still get quite chilly in the winter. We never really know whether Christmas Day will be sunny and 80 or winter, so I always love a little tropical right about now!

To start this card, I die-cut the Frilly Frames Quatrefoil Dies from white cardstock and adhered the outside frame portion to an A2 card base. I then die-cut the Frilly Frames Herringbone die from white cardstock and adhered the center portion to the card front.

For the background, I cut a piece of white cardstock 2 1/4" x 3 1/2". I masked the bottom 1” of the cardstock and inked the sky with Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon, Saltwater Taffy and Scattered Straw Distress inks. I then masked the sky and inked the water with Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers Distress inks. For the sand, I die-cut the Tropical Trees Backdrop Die from white cardstock and inked the sand portion with Antique Linen Distress ink. I adhered it across the bottom of the cardstock piece and trimmed the excess along the right and left edges. I heat embossed a sentiment from the Surfing Santa Stamps which worked perfectly for my flamingos. I matted the background on a hot pink cardstock.

The Mini Mats are perfect for showcasing small scenes, so I die-cut one from the Mini Mat & Tag 1 Dies from a piece of Critter Country Paper, centered my background piece on the mat and adhered these to the card front.

I stamped all images on Neenah Classic Crest 80lb solar white cardstock, colored them with Copics and die-cut them with the coordinating dies. I used the following stamps and dies:
Fabulous Flamingos Stamps and Dies
Reindeer Games Stamps and Dies (Santa hats)
Tropical Paradise Stamps and Dies (hibiscus)
Seasonal Trees Stamps and Dies
Santa Claus Lane Stamps (ornaments)

I also die-cut a monstera leaf from the Summer Greenery Dies from white cardstock and colored it with Copics.

I couldn’t resist making a couple of tropical penguin tags to coordinate with my card. These were so fun to make! I die-cut both tags from hot pink cardstock using the Mini Mat & Tag 4 Dies. I also die-cut white cardstock with the tag die and inked backgrounds for each using Tumbled Glass, Scattered Straw and Saltwater Taffy Distress inks. I heat embossed the sentiments which I combined from the Reindeer Games Stamps, Passionate Penguins Stamps, Santa Claus Lane Stamps and Penguin Party Stamps. For the ocean wave, I used a Slimline Nature Borders Die and for the sand, I used the Tropical Trees Backdrop Die. I adhered them across the backgrounds, trimmed off the excess on the sides and cut the backgrounds to 2 1/4" long. I then adhered them to the tags.

 

I die-cut bright and cheery papers from the Sweater Weather Paper and used the flower hole reinforcer die from the Mini Mat & Tag 3 Dies to keep with the tropical theme.

 

I stamped all images on Neenah Classic Crest 80lb solar white cardstock, colored them with Copics and die-cut them with the coordinating dies. I used the following stamps and dies:

Hello friends! Bobbi here with tags for the holidays. We add tags to all of our gifts and for the little children’s gifts, I go for bold and colorful prints to make them more youthful and fun for the kids. My tags in these festive colors will coordinate perfectly on my bold gift wraps. I am using the following products by Sunny Studio: Mini Mat & Tag 1 dies, Mini Mat & Tag 2 dies, Mini Mat & Tag 3 dies, Mini Mat & Tag 4 dies.

All four mat/tag die sets create fun and unique shaped tags for the holidays. Even though I could just use the tag dies for a smaller gift tag, I chose to use the matching mats to share here. I love how big the tag is with the mat and how frilly the edges look, too. Because these tags are colorful with the Joyful Holiday Paper, I wanted a white border to make the tag really pop off my gift wrap on the presents.  Note: There are four different mats (one unique one in each set) and I used mat 2 twice, in place of the mat in 1. It was not intentional. They are all so cute! 

I used Reindeer Games stamps and dies with the Joyful Holiday Paper to make these two tags. I also ink blended the backgrounds with Distress Oxide Inks in greens and blues. Everything was cut out and assembled using Precision Tip Glue and foam tabs. I added a few rhinestones to make the tags sparkle. The snowballs in the Santa tag were made from pure white jewels. I added red garnet rhinestones by the sentiment. The stars in the sky by the reindeer are made with a white pen and iridescent jewels. I used a red twine for the tag string and Liquid Applique for the dimensional fur on Santa’s outfit.

For my next two tags, I used the Snowman Kisses stamps and dies for the cute snowman. I used Liquid Applique for the snow around the first snowman. To make the circular opening on the second tag, I used a simple punch. What’s fun is you can use your own punches with these dies to get even more fun looks from these staple sets! More rhinestones accent the right side tag, too!
