Baby Bear Sweet Bundle Card with Vanessa

Hey everybody!  Vanessa here with a card using the sweetest Baby stamp set "Baby Bear" and its coordinating dies

This set offers so many possibilities, I had problems deciding what to create first! Here comes my project for today:

Sunny Studio Stamps: Baby Bear Sweet Bundle Card by Vanessa Menhorn.

I first trimmed a piece of patterned paper slightly smaller than my Kraft card base, wrapped green twine around it and adhered it to the card with foam tape. Now I stamped the cute images, colored them with watercolors, die-cut them with the matching dies and adhered them with foam tape. I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment onto a strip of green cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it to the card. Finally I added red enamel dots.

Don't you love the adorable little images? I think this set is perfect. I hope you liked my card today! Have a wonderful rest of your week and thanks for visiting!

Baby Bear Rubber Ducky Baby Card with Lindsey

Hi, Lindsey here today sharing another card using the adorable Baby Bear stamp set and coordinating dies. This has to be my favorite set from the new release. I love making baby cards and this set is perfect for any kind of baby card you may need. Let's get started!

Sunny Studio: Baby Bear Welcome Little One Card by Lindsey Sams.

I started off with an A2 size card base with some cute little duckies on it. Next, I cut a more narrow piece of yellow patterned paper to hold my images and sentiment. I cut the letters to spell the word "baby" but instead of using two b's, I let the little sitting bear be a "stand in" for one of them. I also used a little ducky from the older Rain or Shine stamp set. He just looked too cute sitting on to of the letter "A." I stamped the sentiment from Baby Bear under my larger letters and bear. To finish this card I cut two strips of teal paper and scalloped their edges to tuck under the yellow patterned paper. This card would be great for a boy or a girl because the color scheme works for both.

That's it for me today. I can't wait to see what you guys come up with using this adorable set. Remember to check back to the blog for more inspiration using all the new release. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Baby Bear: Welcome Baby Onesie Card by Anni

Hey stampers, Anni here!

Awe, isn't this new baby set called Baby Bear the cutest? I couldn't resist the sweet onesies and made a card with them.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Baby Bear Welcome Baby Onesie Card by Anni Lerche.

I started by stamping the images on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I also used the cute little images to decorate my onesies. For coloring the images I chose colored pencils.

For the sentiment I stamped the "welcome" in Versafine and embossed the word "baby" with a aqua embossing powder.

I adhered a piece of matching patterned paper to the card base and assembled the card.
For the last finishing touch I added faux stitching to the edge of the card panel.

Thanks for stopping by and have a sunny week!

Baby Bear Welcome Little One Card with Eloise

Hi everyone, Eloise here and today I have a fun new baby card featuring the new Baby Bear stamp set along with a couple of previously released products. I love the idea of a washing line with all these baby clothes, so I thought it would be a fun idea to create a card with it.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Baby Bear Welcome Little One Clothesline card by Eloise Blue.

To start off I stamped out all of my images from the Baby Bear stamp set on some white cardstock. Then for the clothes line, it's the wave line stamp from the Island Getaway stamp set and then for the sticks on the side of the clothes line I used a ruler and a Copic Multiliner to draw them since I needed something for the clothes line to hang off of. I then used various Copic Markers to colour them all in. I then die cut all the images out and used my Brother Scan N Cut for the poles and clothes line since I wanted it to be consistent. I also trimmed out the bib and bow by hand so it would look better on my bear.

I then moved onto the ink blended background pieces. I used a couple dye inks to blend the blue sky background piece and then a green to blend onto the bottom grass piece. I then took the die from the Sunny Sentiments Coordinating Die set and cut out the grassy border from that piece. I also used the cloud die in that set to cut out some white clouds. I then moved onto stamping my sentiment onto my grass piece, which is also from the Baby Bear set with some Versafine Onyx Black ink since I wanted it super dark. I made sure I adhered it towards the bottom since I knew where everything was going to be placed.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Baby Bear Welcome Little One Clothesline card by Eloise Blue.

Now it was time to arrange my card. I adhered down my grass piece on top of my sky piece and then adhered down the clouds flat onto the background. I then put tiny pieces of foam adhesive behind the clothes line and stuck that down to the centre of the panel first. I then used more foam adhesive to adhere down the poles to each side. I also used foam adhesive for the clothes on the line too and then adhered down the pegs using some liquid adhesive. I also used liquid adhesive to adhere down the bib and bow to the baby bear and then adhered her down to the card using foam adhesive. I then popped up my whole panel onto some fun foam and then down onto a light purple card base and that finished up the card.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and got inspired. I absolutely love this new baby set, it's so super cute. Make sure you hang around the blog this week as there's going to be a lot more amazing projects from the Design Team using this amazing stamp set.

- Eloise

Baby Bear Girl and Boy Cards with Lexa

Hello everyone. Lexa here today with not one but two baby cards using Baby Bear stamps and it's coordinating dies. I love how sweet and adorable all the bears and their little accessories. My cards today will show you two versions for both baby girl and baby boy. Enjoy!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Baby Bear Girl & Boy Cards by Lexa Levana (using Fishtail Banners II & Sweet Word die)

I went through the same layout and exactly same proccess for both cards, but I choose different patterned paper and color combinations. For the baby girl card, I used a pretty floroal card base and a strip of lace was chosen for a more girly look. I also add a tiny pink bow for the baby bear. It's just so cute!

The Fishtail Banners II dies from this new release will probably be one of my favorites--it's super versatile. The scalloped fishtail banner and the stitched detail is a perfect touch.

I die-cut the Sweet Word Die four times and stacked them together to create dimension and as if it's not enough I add a generous amount of Glossy Accents after that. I then just left it overnight. Here you can see the details.

For the baby boy card, I choose a blue plaid patterned paper as the base. For the background behind the bear I created it with some washi tapes I've been hoarding for a long time. I'm so glad finally I can use them. I love how this set has so many accessories, like this cute tiny pacifier..adorrrable!

By repeating the same layout as the first card, I was able to finish both of them in a day. And of course, clear sequins can't be missed.

I hope you love my cards from today. Have a wonderful weekend! xx

Baby Bear Baby Shower Card with Lindsey

Hi, Lindsey here today and I am so happy to be sharing a baby card using one of the adorable new stamp sets, Baby Bear. This set is just too cute! It has tons of precious little baby accessories and of course, little baby bears!  Let's get started on how I created this card.
Sunny Studio Stamps: Baby Bear & Rain or Shine Baby Bundle & Umbrella Card by Lindsey Sams

To begin, I cut a few A2 stitched rectangles. I used one as my card base and used a couple of others to create the clouds. I cut three layers of clouds, each one shorter than the next. On my card base rectangle, I blended some light pink ink coming out from behind the clouds. I thought this would be sweet since this is a baby girl card.

I stamped the little bear in the blanket and an umbrella from an older set, Rain or Shine. I colored them both with Copic markers and added some details with at white gel pen. I cut the bear out using the coordinating Baby Bear dies, and I fussy cut the umbrella. I adhered the two of them together. I just thought it was so cute to have the umbrella dropping the baby bear into the clouds.

I used one of the many sentiments from the baby bear set and stamped it on the front cloud in the same pink I had blended in the background. Then it was time to put the card pieces together. I popped the bear and umbrella up with a little foam tape. Finally I added some stars from the Star Border Die and some sequins for a little sparkle.

That's it for me today. I hope you'll continue checking back to the blog for more inspiration using this adorable new release. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Inspiration Week: Introducing Fishtail Banners II Dies + Giveaway

Hello & welcome to the last day of inspiration week.  All of our new items for July are now available for purchase in our online store.  We've put together some bundles to save you money and don't forget you can use the code "SAVE5" to save $5 on all orders over $49.  It's our way of helping you out with shipping.  ;)

Today we are featuring our new Fishtail banner II dies which are a follow up to our original Fishtail Banner dies.  These can be used together with the originals or on their own.  They come with scallops on both sides of the "v" for two unique looks and standalone stitched and dotted lines that can go solo or be paired with either scallop.  :)

Up first I have a card using the scalloped edge to create a diamond.  I started with by cutting the center diamond in white and then worked my way out from there using a rainbow of colors.  To save on paper I just created V's and hid them below the other layers.  A ran the stitched border through as a separate pass in my die-cutting machine so that I could get the two dies closer than I would have been able to if I ran them through at the same time.  When I was done I realized I hadn't left space to add a full stitched "v" to my white piece so I hung the corners off the edge of my cutting plates so it wouldn't pierce my paper all the way to the edge. I finished my card with a simple stamped sentiment from Sunny Sentiments.  :)

Up next is a card featuring a similar scalloped edge, but this time joining them together to create the look of a cute closure.  To embellish my card I turned to our new Baby Bear stamp set.  I thought it would be fun to create a sweet group of babies all in different outfits.  Before adhering my pieces, I inked up my card base with Tumbled Glass Distress ink and then repeatedly stamped the little diaper pin (that is designed to be added to the baby's diaper) in a random pattern.  I like the little splash of color and subtle pattern it gives my finished card.

For my next card, I used the new fishtail banners II to create a pennant style shaped card.  I started by folding a 4.25 x 11 piece of white cardstock in half to form my card base.  I then used the dies to cut through the front of my card and then closed my card and used the first cut to position a second cut for the back.  It's possible you could do this in one pass, but I was using really heavy cardstock and didn't want to take my chances.

For my card front, I cut another 4.25 x 5.5 panel from white cardstock and cut it along the bottom using the original Fishtail Banner dies.  I then inked it up with Worn Lipstick distress ink and used the sprinkles images from our new Sweet Shoppe stamp set to stamp a subtle tone-one-tone background. I pulled my focal point images from that same set and then completed my card with a banner from our Sunny Borders set inked up in Vintage Sepia distress ink.  I was searching for just the right sentiment to fit the space and ended up piecing one together using the word "birthday" from Comfy Creatures and the "sweet wishes" from Sending My Love.  :)

For my last card I used the dotted banner on it's own to create a subtle stitched chevron pattern for my card background. I love how classy and sophisticated it feels!  To create my three little pennants I inked up strips of cardstock with Worn Lipstick, Tumbled Glass and Fossilized Amber Distress inks and then cut the ends using our original Fishtail Banner dies.  I finished off my card with a little pineapple and hibiscus grouping from our Tropical Paradise set.

As I was working on my background I snapped a picture for your to see how I lined things up.  I started by using my grid ruler to sketch in some light pencil lines 1/4" apart.  By using a clear grid type ruler it made it super quick and easy (if you don't have something like this in your stash I highly recommend it--It's one of my favorite supplies). I also added a line down the center to help ensure I was lining the tip of my "v" in the center each time.  I then used the lines to guide me on where to place my die each time.  When I was done, I just erased my pencil lines.  While this isn't something you'd want to do for mass produced Christmas cards, I actually was able to do this fairly quick and I love the results!

I've put together a free printable for you to download HERE giving you some ideas on how these banner dies can be used.  We will be having a sketch contest using them in early September so make sure to stay tuned.  ;)

Inspiration Week: Introducing Baby Bear Set with Giveaway

Hello & welcome to day 2 of our new release preview week!  Today I'm super excited to reveal a fun new set celebrating babies called Baby Bear!

Up first is a card combining the new set with the tree from Summer Picnic, the grass from Sunny Sentiments and the ric-rac border die from Sunny Borders.

For my next card I had fun using those same outfits to dress my little trio of bears in.  For my card base I cut two medium hearts from our Stitched Heart Dies, inking up the top one to match my images colored with copics.

This set comes with several small companion images to stamp on the front of the bibs and onesies and I used the little heart to stamp a repeated pattern for my background.  I finished off my card with my sentiment heat embossed on a banner from our Sunny Borders stamp set.

For my next project I focused on the chunky diaper pin for a fun, graphic card.  To add a little interest, I stitched around each block on my sewing machine, popped up each pin with foam tape and added glossy accents to the colored portion of the pin.

The stamp set comes with bottles, sippy cups and pacifiers as larger standalone images as well as smaller versions to accessorize the bears.  I chose to use both versions by stamping a subtle repeat background for this sweet unisex baby card.

For my next card, I created another clothesline card pairing the bibs, onesies and socks with the cloud dies from our Sunny Sentiments and Rain or Shine die sets.

For my last card I created a baby blanket from the picnic blanket from the Summer Picnic Set.  I also stamped an extra set of feet to cut out so that I could fit a onesie on the sitting bear.

The patchwork border was created with a new square die that is not available for purchase, but that we are giving away free with all orders placed throughout the month of July.  I have been searching for the perfect sized die to create this look for quite some time now so I'm super excited to finally have one.  I can created a printable PDF for this card with step by step instructions HERE.

My sentiment was stamped with our new Sweet Shoppe stamp set that will be unveiled tomorrow. ;)
