Guest Designer Spotlight: Chickie Baby Cards with Nicky Meek

Hello! I'm Nicky Meek and I'm delighted to be guest designing for Sunny Studio Stamps again today and have had so much fun creating with the unapologetic ally adorable Chickie Baby stamp set. I have two cards for you today that feature the stamp set in completely different ways!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Chickie Baby Eyelet Lace Border Dies Girlfriend Card by Nicky Meek

My first card also uses one of the dies from the Eyelet Lace Borders die setTo make this card I die cut one of the Eyelet Lace Border dies 12 times over from 3 different coloured card stocks. I adhered them to one another in layers then set them aside to dry. I took a panel of cardstock and ink blended the focal point using Distress Ink in Spun Sugar. I added in a few dots of white gel pen just to break it up a little.

I adhered the lace borders to the panel by backing them with foam tape, then popped it in my Misti and stamped the sentiment. This background was then applied to a 110lb white cardstock base.

Now for my Chickie Baby images. I stamped them all with Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa and coloured them with Copic markers, highlighted some points with a white gel pen then die cut. Each was backed with foam tape and applied. To make it just a little more girly and playful I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops amongst the chickies. Card complete!

My second card using Chickie Baby is a slimline card with finished dimensions of 8 1/2in x 3 1/2in and this allowed me more space to create a big scene.

I grabbed a panel of smooth white cardstock and ink blended the sky using Distress Oxide in Tumbled Glass. I applied the panel to the prepared cardstock base. I took a couple of other slimline panels and used a grass edge die from my stash to create 4 undulating hills. They were ink blended with Distress Oxide in Twisted Citron and areas darkened using Mowed Lawn (seemed appropriate!). The sentiment was stamped. These sections were all adhered down to the background panel which in turn was adhered to the 110lb white cardstock base.

The Chickie Baby images were again stamped with the Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa and coloured with Copic markers, highlighted with a white gel pen, die cut and adhered either directly or with foam tape to build depth. I dotted in patches of daises with a white gel pen and with that this card was also complete.

I hope you have been enjoying your purchases from the most recent Sunny Studio release and that I've provided you with some fun inspiration.

Frilly Frame Eyelet Lace Focused Cards with Juliana and Candice

Hello crafty friends! It's Juliana here and today I'll be sharing how the Frilly Fames Eyelet Lace Die can be used for both embossing and die cutting to create a beautiful background for a card.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Frilly Frame Eyelet Lace Dies Pink Peonies Birthday Card by Juliana Michaels

I began by stamping and coloring all the images from the Pink Peonies Stamp Set with Copic Markers. I then die cut them using the coordinating dies. Once this was finished I set them to the side to work on the background.

To create the embossed design, I took a piece of white cardstock and used the inside die from the Frilly Fames Eyelet Lace Die to emboss it. By using a silicone mat with your die cutting machine you can achieve this look. I recommend referring to the instruction manual for your manual die cutting machine on how to do this. Once the paper was embossed, I then die cut it using a simple stitched rectangle die. I then took the outside die from the Frilly Fames Eyelet Lace Die and used it to die cut a piece of white cardstock. Next, I layered these piece together and mounted them both to a piece of colored cardstock that coordinated with my colored images.

With the background complete, I then began arranging the stamped images and adhered them with double sided foam tape for a bit of depth and dimension. I finished off the card by stamping Happy Birthday from the Floating By Stamp Set.

I hope you enjoyed learning that you can use your dies for embossing as well as die cutting. Don't you just love learning how to stretch your supplies? Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Happy Friday friends! It's Candice back with you today using the new Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace die in a fun way! Because of the scalloped edge I can use it to create a slimline panel, a perfect way to extend my dies!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Frilly Frame Eyelet Lace Dies Chickie Baby Spring Scene Fluffy Clouds Dies Spring Showers Everyday Card by Candice Fisher

I used these Sunny Studio Stamps products for my card:
I began my slimline by creating an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base which is a perfect size for your standard envelopes. To create the slimline panel using the new Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace die, I first run it through the die cutting machine, stopping just before you cut the bottom. Then you measure how high you want the frame to be and flip it and do the same to the other side, making sure you have lined it up fitting into the scalloped and stitched cuts. I then measured on the card front how wide I wanted it and repeat the steps above until you have the frame! It is easier done than explained!

For the background, I first added the stitched clouds and then inked with abandoned coral, dried marigold & squeezed lemonade oxide inks. Next I stamped the chickskites, cloudstrees, & hearts, colored with copic markers and used the coordinating dies listed above to cut them out.

I layered one row of the trees on a scrap piece of white cardstock and cut out the bottom using the eyelet frame die adhering with foam tape over another layer of trees on the inked panel.

To put the card together, I added hearts to the clouds and adhered with foam tape trimming the edges with scissors. The chicks and kites were also put on the card with foam tape around the clouds.

For the sentiment, I first heat embossed in black on a banner, leaving space for the heart and inked over with squeezed lemonade to match the sky. I adhered with foam tape and added a few nuvo drops in red, orange and yellow.

I hope you are inspired to try creating slimline frames, I have done it with a few of Sunny Studio's frilly frames, and find the scalloped and straight edges line up perfectly! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Enchanted Cards with Vanessa and Anja

Hello to you! Vanessa here with a card using the adorable Enchanted set. With these stamps, you can create storybook projects in a snap.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Enchanted Spring Scenes Spring Showers Fairy Tale Themed Cards by Vanessa Menhorn

First, I covered a card base with the patterned paper from the Spring Fling Paper Pad. Now I stamped the images from Enchanted, Spring Scenes and Spring Showers onto white cardstock, colored everything with Copic markers and die-cut the images with the matching dies. I adhered the castle and the trees to the card and covered the front with a piece of vellum to create the impression of distance.

Then I used the border from Oceans Of Joy Dies to die-cut the hills from green cardstock, adhered the pieces and adhered the remaining images with foam tape.

Prince Charming right from a fairy tale! My daughter is delighted with this set. Me, too :) Thanks for visiting! See you next week!

Hi everyone, Anja here and today's card showcases the sweet Enchanted Stamps which I combined with a beautiful scene from the Spring Fling Paper pack. This makes creating so easy and convenient because the background is already done for you ;-)

I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored them with Copic Markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. The sentiment is from the same set and I stamped it in VersaMark Ink directly onto the grass at the bottom. I then heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

To complete my scene, I die cut two clouds (included in the Spring Showers Dies set) from white cardstock and added them to the sky.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you're having a wonderful day!

Spring Scenes Cards with Franci and Ana

Hi there and happy Wednesday! It's Franci here with you today, with a fun card inspired by the upcoming season!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Spring Scenes Spring Showers Banner Basics A Good Egg Spring Themed Easter Card by Franci Vignoli

I created a colorful Spring/ Easter scene here combining different sets: Spring Scenes coordinated diesA Good Egg set + coordinated diesBanner Basics coordinated dies and Spring Showers and its coordinated dies

I started by stamping, coloring with Copics and die cutting all the images, then I arranged them on the front of my white card base, in the center, to create this happy scene. Then, as I was happy with the placement, I secured everything down with a combo of liquid glue and foam adhesive.

I stamped my sentiment at the top, added some Iridescent Pastel Confetti here and there and some details with a white gel pen to finish my card.

Aww I love it so much, hope you like it too! Thanks a lot for stopping by and have a lovely day!

----------------------------------------------------

Hello friends! Ana here today with a super cute card featuring new Spring Scenes stamps and coordinating dies!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Spring Scenes Spring Showers Fluffy Clouds Banner Basics Spring Themed Card by Ana Anderson

To start, I stamped a park bench with a tree and lamp post border, flowers (sprinkled through the grass), individual trees and butterflies - all from Spring Scenes stamp set. I stamped a girl, boy, tulips and the kite – from Spring Showers Stamps next, and colored all images with Copic markers.

Once the images were finished, I die cut them using Spring Scenes and Spring Showers coordinating dies. I used Fully Clouds Border dies to make a stencil, then using the stencil inked Salty Ocean Distress Ink to create the clouds. Using Fluffy Clouds dies, I added stitched clouds shapes to the background as well as few die cut clouds, which I inked with Salty Ocean distress ink as well.

Sentiment (from Spring Showers) was stamped on a banner (from Banner Basics stamps) and die cut with coordinating Banner Basics dies. I added light shading to the edges of the banner with gray marker. I assembled the card by adhering the images with liquid glue, then added highlights with white gel pen.

I really hope you like this sweet spring scene card as much as I do – there are so many possibilities to design beautiful scenes with this amazing stamp set! Thank you so much for stopping by today, see you next week!

Chickie Baby Cards with Angelica and Mindy

Hi friends! Angelica here. I have a cute Easter project to share with you today, using a couple products from the newest release.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Chickie Baby Fancy Frame Dies Sweet Treat Bag Dies Treat Bag by Angelica Conrad

This bag was made with the Sweet Treat Bag Dies. I stamped pink card stock with Happy Easter, a sentiment from Chickie Baby stamp set, before die-cutting the bag. I die-cut a handle, and a window out of the bag with Fancy Frame Circle dies. I close the back of the window with acetate, and added a small circle frame to the front.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Chickie Baby Fancy Frame Dies Sweet Treat Bag Dies Treat Bag by Angelica Conrad

Before I attached the Spring Fling pattern paper flap to the bag, I cut slits into the flap crease, allowing me to insert the handle. I made pink bows using the bow die from Sweet Treats Add On dies to cover the slits. My final step was adding a small set of Basic Grey magnetic snaps to the backside of the flap and bag, which keeps the flap closed.

I hope I have given you some fun Sunny Studio Stamps Easter inspiration. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hello! It’s Mindy from My Creative Scoop. Today I’m sharing 2 different stamp sets. The little chick is from a set just released called, Chickie Baby and I’ve used the coordinating dies to cut him out. I wanted the card to be colorful yet subtle so I used the rainbow hearts paper from the new Spring Fling Paper pack and covered my entire card front. Then used the Frilly Frames Stripes die – minus the stripes – over the patterned paper.

I used some Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink right in the center of my frame. Then I took the Balloons from the Floating By Stamp set and stamped them where I wanted them on the card in Black memento ink.  I stamped the balloons again using Memento Desert Sand so I can have the no line look for my balloons. I fussy cut the balloons and placed them right over the balloons stamped on my sponged card front.

Copic Markers used: Chickie – Y21, Y26, E42, YR12R32, R30; Balloons – BV0000, BV000, BV00, RV04, RV02, RV00, G20, YG13, YG17, B00, B21, B24, Y11, Y13, Y000

I combined the sentiment from the Floating By and Chickie Baby Stamp sets along with the Sweet Word Die which I cut out in some fun foam. I adore the way this card came out!

Thank you so much stopping by. Have a great day!
