Hogs & Kisses Cards with Angelica and Juliana

Hello friends, Angelica here with a festive Hogs & Kisses Christmas card.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Hogs & Kisses Rustic Winter Scenic Route Woodland Borders Fancy Frame Dies Winter Themed Christmas Card by Angelica Conrad

I stamped the hogs using Milk Chocolate Hybrid Ink, and colored them with the following Copic Colors: Hogs- R22, R20, R01, R00, R000, R0000, shading with V93, and V91; Hoofs- E77, E74; Santa hat and scarf- R39, R29, R27, R24, C02, C0; Present- R39, R29, R24, C02, C01, glitter gel pen; Scarf- YG17, YG05, YG03, RV19, RV14, RV13; Antlers: E44, E43, E42. I used the coordinating dies to die-cut them.

I blended Tattered Rose, Victorian Velvet, and Stormy Sky Distress Oxide inks onto white card stock for the background. The trees are die-cuts from Rustic Winter Dies. I backed the trees with chocolate card stock, and used E71 and E77 to add marks to them. I glued them to the background, then added white die-cut hills from the Woodland Borders Die set.

I stamped and heat-embossed a sentiment using words from Hogs and Kisses and Santa Claus Lane stamp set onto gray card stock, and used foam squares to add the sentiment to the background. The hogs were added next, then the panel was attached to a card base. My final step was adding a frame, die-cutting Classic Gingham paper with a Fancy Frame Rectangle die.

That's all that I have for today. Thanks for stopping by!

----------------------------------------------------

Hello Sunny Studio Friends! It's Juliana here and today I'm sharing a festive Christmas scene card featuring the Hogs & Kisses Stamp Set. I've combined it with some other fun sets that add the perfect pieces for completing the scene.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Hogs & Kisses Cruising Critters Scenic Route Woodland Borders Winter Themed Christmas Card by Juliana Michaels

From the very beginning I thought it would be so fun to put the cute pigs from the Hogs & Kisses Stamp Set inside the car from the Cruising Critters Stamp Set. I used scissors to trim off the critters that come in the card and a white gel pen to cover up the stamping lines from that part of the stamp.

When it came time to fill the car though, only one pig fit, so I filled the rest of the car with presents and a string of lights from the Santa Claus Lane Stamp Set and the small fir tree from the Seasonal Trees Stamp Set. All of the images were colored with Copic Markers and then die cut using the coordinating dies for each stamped image.

Once I had the car all figured out, I knew I needed some scenery behind it. For this, I used the fir trees with hillside and neighborhood house border stamps from the Scenic Route Stamp Set. I stamped each image across the top of a 5.5 x 4.25 inch piece of paper. After coloring each of the images, I die cut each piece using the coordinating Scenic Route Dies. This left each piece of paper with a large section of white paper below the image. I did some ink blending below the stamped sections with Distress Oxide in Tumbled Glass to give them a more snowy look. I then layered and adhered the pieces together.

To complete the background, I took another piece of cardstock at 5.5 x 4.25 inches and ink blended the sky using Distress Oxide in Faded Jeans and Blueprint Sketch. I splattered the piece with a bit of water to activate the ink and then dabbed it dry to reveal the “snowflakes”. Once this piece was finished I layered the scene on top. I then finished off the card with a sentiment created using a combination of word stamps from the Hogs & Kisses Stamp Set and Santa Claus Lane Stamp Set.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed this festive Christmas scene featuring the Hogs & Kisses Stamp Set

Sweet Treat Projects with Leanne and Eloise

Hi everyone! Leanne here today. It's never too early to start thinking about holiday gift giving so I have a treat bag idea to share with you.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sweet Treat Gift Bag Sweet Treats House Sweet Word Die Season's Greetings Warm & Cozy Christmas Treat Bag by Leanne West

I've used the new Sweet Treat Bag die to create a festive tote style bag to hold any little gift or some special treats. I've mixed and matched a bunch of different Sunny Studio products to create and decorate the bag. They are all listed and linked below:

Sweet Treat Bag Dies - the bag & tiny tag
Holiday Cheer 6x6 paper pad - peppermint candy patterned paper
Fancy Frames Square Dies - red scalloped frame
Warm & Cozy Dies - hot chocolate mug
Sweet Word Die - die cut "sweet"
Basic Mini Shapes Dies - holly leaves
Season's Greetings stamp set - to/from stamped on tag
Alpaca Holiday stamp set - Christmas wishes
Peppermint Confetti - used for the holly berries

Be sure to check out the video here for a tutorial on the assembly of the bag. The bag itself is very quick and easy to assemble. The sky's the limit when it comes to decorating. I chose a candy and cocoa theme for mine. I just love that fun peppermint candy pattern that I used for the body of the bag. Sunny Studio patterned papers are the perfect weight for projects like this. The paper is 65lb. weight which creates a sturdy bag.  It can be filled with candy or would be a fun way to give a gift card.

Hi friends, Eloise here and today I’ll be using the Sweet Treat House Add On Set to create my card today.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sweet Treats House Add On Dies Christmas Card by Eloise Blue

I started off with making a card base from plain white cardstock. I cut it down to 3 3/8” wide by 9” long. I then scored it at 4 ½” inches and also scored ½” strips along the front of the card to look like wood paneling.

I then die cut out all the elements I would be using. I used a dark grey and black cardstock to cut the scallop roofing out. I used some yellow cardstock for behind the windows and door and then used some wood veneer paper for the door and window frames. I also used some green for the wreath and red for the bow.

I adhered all my pieces together and adhered them onto my card base to resemble a little Christmas decorated farmhouse. I opted not to use a sentiment, but you could easily add one if you like.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I’ll see you all next time.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Merry Mice Cards with Chitra Nair

Hello friends, Chitra here with another set of cards to share with you all!!
This time I got to play with another SUPER cute set from the new winter release called Merry Mice and its coordinating dies.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Merry Mice Scalloped Tag Dies Christmas Cards by Chitra Nair

I started by ink blending a white card panel with oxide inks (Dried Marigold, Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserve) and splattering water on top of it and dried it off with a towel. Once dry I splattered white and silver watercolor from Gansai Tambi watercolors. Then I stamped the images onto Crafter's Companion ultra smooth white cardstock using memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored with copics then die-cut it out using coordinating dies.

I took another piece of white cardstock which is embossed using Buffalo Plaid embossing folder, adhered that to a white card base. I made snowy ground for the mice, adhered that to the colored panel and then I adhered all the images to the panel some using foam squares and some directly.

The sentiment is white heat embossed using WOW white embossing powder. Then I glued few cheese as Christmas ornament for the mice, drew the lines using black gel pen. I also added few highlights using white gel pen and also added glitter to the cap and scarf.

For my second card I used scalloped tag square die along with the cute Merry Mice and its coordinating diesFirst I die cut out a square tag using the dies and white cardstock and then did some ink blending on it using oxide inks (Twisted Citron and squeezed lemonade and scattered straw), then splattered some plain water and dried it out using towel. Once dry I splattered some white and silver watercolor from Gansai Tambi watercolors.

Images are all stamped onto Crafter's Companion ultra smooth white cardstock and colored with Copics and cut out using coordinating dies. I took a colored cardstock and used Buffalo Plaid embossing folder to emboss the pattern on it and adhered it directly to bottom of the card base and then adhered the tag on top of it.

The sentiment is heat embossed on black cardstock using WOW white embossing powder. The sentiment is adhered using foam squares and I also adhered the images. I added some details using white Signo gel pen and glued natural jute twine on the tag.

I had so much fun playing with the new goodies. Hope you too enjoyed my cards!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!! Hugs!

Layered Snowflake Frame Cards with Candice and Rachel

Hi everyone, it's Candice here. This new Layered Snowflake Frame die set is amazing for it's perfect size for me to create two frames on one card! I am loving the effect and thinking of all the different scenes I could put into them!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Layered Snowflake Frame Dies Woodland Border Dies Feeling Frosty Scenic Route Season's Greetings Winter Themed Card by Candice Fisher

I used a few sets from the new holiday release:
I began with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base which fits wonderfully into the size 9A envelopes. To create the double snowflake frames, I cut close to the edges leaving enough space in the center for my sentiment. I then worked on creating the layers inside the frames by first creating the sky by blending shaded lilac & spun sugar and splattered with diluted white paint.

Next, I stamped one each of the hillside and houses, colored with Copic markers, die cut out using the coordinating dies and cut in half. I then stamped the adorable snowmen, colored them with the Copics, and used the coordinating dies to cut out. I layered them using foam tape and in the top areas I doubled up on the foam tape to give it three layers and lots of dimension.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Layered Snowflake Frame Dies Woodland Border Dies Feeling Frosty Scenic Route Season's Greetings Winter Themed Card by Candice Fisher

To finish off the card, I added my bold sentiment by first creating my banner from the handle in the Sweet Treat Bag die. I heat embossed the Season's in white and blended with shaded lilac & spun sugar. Next, I die cut the wishes from green foil paper and multiples from white scraps and layered for a thick sturdy piece. For my finishing touches, I added a snowflake covered in sparkle and a few white pearls.

Thank you for visiting today!  Have a fabulous weekend!

-----------------------------------------------

Hello everyone! It's Rachel here and I have a fun example to show you of another way that you can use the new Layered Snowflake Frame Die Set. It's the perfect size to frame the opening of a shadow box card!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Layered Snowflake Frame Dies Merry Mice Woodland Border Dies Feeling Frosty Winter Themed Card by Rachel Alvarado

My shadow box measures at 6.25" x 4.5" when folded flat and fits perfectly into a standard A6 sized envelope. I used a piece of Kraft Card Stock for the front and back portions of my card and used the Layered Snowflake Frame Die to cut a window into the front of one panel. I then used a White Gel Pen to color over some of the flakes to make them look like they're covered with snow. I also added some stitched snow drifts by using the Woodland Borders Dies and some White Card Stock.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Layered Snowflake Frame Dies Merry Mice Woodland Border Dies Feeling Frosty Winter Themed Card by Rachel Alvarado

I stamped all of my images from the new Merry Mice Stamp Set with Tuxedo Memento Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, colored with Copics, and used the coordinating Merry Mice Dies to cut them out. Before putting my card together, I blended a pink background sky by blending some Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Inks. Lastly, I heat embossed my sentiment with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder onto a sheet of Black Card Stock and then trimmed it down to size.

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today! Have a wonderful weekend!

Embossing Folder Focused Cards with Vanessa and Anja

Hello to you! Vanessa here today with a fun shaker card using the Woodgrain Embossing folder. While looking at the new dies, I thought the flap die from the Sweet Treat Bag Dies would make a perfect window for a snow globe shaker card!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Feeling Frosty Sweet Treats Gift Bag Dies Christmas Themed Shaker Card by Vanessa Menhorn

I first embossed a panel of white cardstock with the embossing folder and die-cut the window. I covered the front of my card with patterned paper from the Very Merry 6x6 paper pad, then I stamped the snowman from Feeling Frosty, colored it with Copics, die-cut it with the matching die and adhered it to the card with foam tape. I adhered clear cardstock to the back of the window, backed it with fun foam, filled the window with clay heartssnowflakes and clear sequins and adhered the front to the card.

Now I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment onto a strip of pink cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it to create the base of the snowglobe. Finally, I stamped the tree, colored it with Copics, die-cut it with the matching die and adhered it.

I hope you like my idea to stretch your dies! Thanks for stopping by today!

------------------------------------------------

Hello everyone, Anja here sharing a pastel Christmas card which features the Buffalo Plaid Embossing Folder and one of the cute Merry Mice Stamps. As a little bonus, I added a circle shaker element.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Merry Mice Fancy Frame Dies Christmas Themed Shaker Card by Anja Bytyqi

First, I ran the embossing folder with a piece of white cardstock through my die-cutting machine. To enhance the texture of the embossed plaid pattern, I diagonally applied Distress Oxide Inks (Milled Lavender, Spun Sugar and Tumbled Glass) with a soft blending brush. I also added some random ink and white paint splatters.

Next, I stamped the mouse and its hat in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and did some coloring with Copic Markers. I added little dots to the stocking with a white gelly roll pen and used the coordinating dies to cut out the images.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Merry Mice Fancy Frame Dies Christmas Themed Shaker Card by Anja Bytyqi

For my shaker element, I die cut three stitched scalloped circle frames from white cardstock using the Fancy Frame Circle Dies. I stacked two of them together to create a more sturdy top frame. I adhered an acetate circle to its back and die cut a narrow circle frame from white fun foam which I adhered with double-sided tape. This will create the right height for the embellishments to move around freely in the shaker. I then taped the last stitched scalloped circle frame to the other side of the fun foam circle (this step is not necessary but this bottom layer made it easier for me to adhere the shaker to the card later).

Now for the fun part of creating a shaker, I picked all kinds of tiny embellishments: Pink & White Clay Heart Confetti as well as sequins and seed beads from my stash. I also adhered some White Pearls and Blue & White Clay Snowflake Confetti to the embossed plaid background, so they won't fell to the bottom of the shaker when the card stands upright.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink onto a banner and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
