Tropical Paradise You Are My Sunshine Hibiscus Card with Eloise

Hello everyone, Eloise here. Today I’m featuring the new Tropical Paradise stamp set, along with a couple of older products - the Sunshine Die and Sunny Sentiments stamp set. This new Tropical Paradise stamp set is so fun and great for colouring.

Sunny Studio: Hibiscus Flower You Are My Sunshine Card by Eloise Blue (using Tropical Paradise, Sunny Sentiments and Sunshine Word die).

To begin my card I stamped out all of my images that I wanted to use from the Tropical Paradise set with black ink on some white cardstock and used various colours of Copic Markers to colour them all in. I then cut them all out. I cut a piece of white cardstock down to 3 3/4” x 5 1/8”. I then arranged all of my images onto the white cardstock the way I wanted them to sit. Before adhering them all down I took the ‘You are my’ sentiment from the Sunny Sentiments stamp set and grabbed some black ink and stamped it down into the area where I knew I wanted the sentiment. I then used a mixture of foam adhesive and liquid adhesive to adhere down my flowers and leaves in a pattern.

Once all of my images were adhered down. I took the Sunshine Word Die and ran it through my Big Shot machine. I used some yellow cardstock and then also with some black fun foam. I adhered the yellow piece to the black fun foam with some liquid glue and then adhered it down onto my white cardstock in between the arrangement of flowers. I then took some more of the same yellow cardstock and covered my card base up and then used some fun foam to adhere the panel onto my card base.

For a finishing touch I used some Wink of Stella glitter pen to put over some of the flowers and the sunshine sentiment and then some clear sequins to scatter around the card.

Thanks for stopping by today and make sure you check out the blog tomorrow for more inspiration using the Tropical Paradise set!

Island Getaway Salty Kisses Card with Lexa

Happy Fri-YAY everyone!

Lexa is here today, and this is my first post as a Sunny Studio Stamps Design Team. I'm super excited to be here. And here I am sharing a happy summer card with you..

I use a stamp set called Island Getaway with a monkey in a pink polka-dot bikini sending salty kisses to you.  How cute is that?  She's having a great time on a private island I bet.
I stamped wavy borders on blue cardstock and layered them together. I also wanted to create a sun to complete my scene, so I just die-cut a stitched circle on yellow cardstock.

I left white borders as I blended the blue sky using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, masking off the border with low tac tape. The "salty kisses" sentiment is stamped on pink patterned paper to match the monkey's bikini and is attached with foam tape.

My last touch is pretty sequins.  I looove how it turned out. This stamp set is so summer-y with so many fun details and cute sentiments.

Thanks for looking and wishing you a great day!

Tropical Paradise My Sunshine Flamingo Card with Vanessa

Hi everyone!  Vanessa here with my very first post on the Sunny Studio Blog. I am so happy to be here and hope to inspire you :)

For my card, I played with my new favorite stamp set Tropical Paradise. I love all the elements of this set:

Sunny Studio Stamps: Flamingo Card by Vanessa Menhorn (using Tropical Paradise, Sweet Script, Sunshine Word die and heart from Sunny Borders dies).

I started with a card base made from kraft cardstock. Then I trimmed a piece of watercolor paper slightly smaller than the card and inked the middle with kraft ink. Now I applied drops of gold and pearl spray ink and adhered the panel to the card. I stamped and colored the flamingos, cut them out and adhered them with foam tape. Then I die-cut the "sunshine" and the heart from gold glitter cardstock and adhered them. Finally, I stamped "my" using Sweet Script Stamps.

I hope you like my first card! Thank you so much for visiting!

Fresh & Fruit Perfect Pear Anniversary Card with Lindsey

Hi!  Lindsey here today with a “sweet” card using the new Fresh and Fruity stamp set. This set is full of yummy fruits and cute sentiments! Let’s get started!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Fresh & Fruity For The Perfect Pear Anniversary Card by Lindsey Bailey.

I made the cute little pears the stars of this card. I cut an A2 sized card base using some Doodlebug patterned paper. Then I cut a scalloped oval frame and white oval to do my stamping on. I stamped two little pears side by side and added the sweet little faces to them. I colored the pears using Copic markers. Next, I stamped my sentiment.  The top part of the sentiment is from the Fresh and Fruity stamp set and the “congratulations” is from the older Sunny Borders stamp set. I bent both sentiments to match the arch of the oval.

To finish off the card, I added a few sequins in opposite corners, and tied some black and white twine across the top of the card. I also added some white dots to the scalloped oval with a white gel pen.

I hope you’ll check out this fun set, and thanks for reading!
