Halloween Cuties: Batty For You with Anni

Hey stampers, Anni here!  Are you ready for Halloween Cards? Well, I have one for you today. I used the very cute bats from the set Halloween Cuties for this card.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Halloween Cuties Batty For You Card by Anni Lerche.

First I created the rainbow background. I used a piece of water color paper and added some water on it in a shape I wanted for my background. On my craft mat I dropped a tiny bit of Distress Ink reinker in yellow, orange, red, turqoise and green. I dipped a brush into the color and then into the water and then let the water do the work. When I liked how it turned out I dried it with my heat gun. After that I added some splashes of watered down color to the paper.

I stamped, colored the bats with Copics and fussy cut them (there are coordinating dies available). I drew over the eyes with a black gel pen to make them extra black and added some Wink of Stella to the wings.

I stamped the sentiment directly on the watercolor paper with my MISTI and assembled the card. To finish the card I added some star sequins.

Thanks for stopping by and have a sunny week!

Halloween Cuties Hello Pumpkin Halloween Card with Eloise

Hello everyone, Eloise here and I'm back here today to feature the new Halloween Cuties stamps and die set. I don't celebrate Halloween, but I love Halloween stamps. They're so fun and I love the colour scheme for Halloween too! So I made a fun scene card today (of course!) and it's inside an oval for something a little different.

To begin my card today I started off with stamping all my images on some Neenah Solar White Cardstock with some Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used various colours of Copic Markers to colour in my images today. Once they were coloured, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I now moved onto my background. I used Distress Inks for my background, as usual and I picked out a purple, pink and orange for the sky and a green for the grass. I used watercolour paper to ink blend onto since I find I get a better blend. Once all the colours were blended I used a paint brush and some water to do my favourite water splotch effect on the background - I love how this looks with Distress Inks!

Once that was done I took some green cardstock from my stash and used an oval die to die cut out of it. I wanted the used the oval as a frame. Before assembling the card I white heat embossed the sentiment 'hey pumpkin' onto the background. I assembled my card using a mixture of foam adhesive and liquid adhesive and then for a finishing touch I used my Wink of Stella to add some shimmer.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you got inspired to make some Halloween cards!

- Eloise

Fishtail Banners II: Sweet Birthday Wishes Card with Lexa

Hi everyone, Lexa here today with another inspirational idea on how to use your Fishtail Banners II dies. I will pair it up with Sweet Shoppe stamps and coordinating dies to make an extra sweet birthday card.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sweet Shoppe & Fishtail Banners Ice Cream, Cupcake & Donut card by Lexa Levana.

I used the faux stitched dies on Fishtail Banners II to create some patterns and textures for my background. I lined them up together and did both dies together at one time. I love how it turns out--it adds a pretty texture to my background. The Sweet Word Die was cut four times on a piece of white cardstock and I glued them together.  After that I add a generous amount of Stardust Stickles to add some sparkles. You know glitters are hardly captured on a camera.

I stamped all my images with Versafine black ink on a watercolor paper and colored them all with Distress Markers. And as my sweet tooth I couldn't choose which one should I have for this card, so I put them all together in one card. Hehe. Oh boy, now I'm craving something sweet!

I tried to capture how beautiful the glitter is, and it looks like a sugar coating instead. LOL.

Can you resist all the smiley faces on every sweets? I just can't.

I hope you enjoy today's post. Wishing you a wonderful day.

Fishtail Banners II Week: Fall Fox Card with Vanessa

Hello friends!  Vanessa here with an autumn card mixing the wonderful Fishtail Banner II dies, Woodsy Creatures, Harvest Happiness and Comfy Creatures.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Fall Fox Card by Vanessa (using Fishtail Banners II, Harvest Happiness, Woodsy Creatures & Comfy Creatures)

For my card I used one of the pretty sketches Mendi provided here. First, I die-cut the Fishtail banner from a panel of woodgrain patterned paper and a circle from its center. Then I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder. Now I stamped the pumpkins, masking the first ones before stamping the next, and colored them with Copics. I backed the circle window of the panel with vellum to tone down my background and adhered the panel to the card. Then I stamped, paper-pieced and colored the fox, die-cut him with the matching dies and adhered him to the card.

I might repeat myself, but it is so fun to combine the various stamp sets to create new, cute creatures! Thank you for visiting today!

Halloween Cuties & Fishtail Banner Batty For You Card by Lindsey

Hi Lindsey here today sharing a Halloween card using Halloween Cuties and Fishtail Banners. The Fishtail Banners are fun to create with because you can make all kinds of shapes as well as add dot and stitched details to your card as well. Let's get started!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Halloween Cuties & Fishtail Banner II Batty For You card by Lindsey Sams.

I started with an orange A2 sized piece of orange cardstock for my card base. I used the dot part of the Fishtail Banner to add some dot detail to my background. Next I used the scallop banner to cut a diamond out of gray cardstock. This is what I did my stamping on. I stamped spider webs on each diamond corner. Then I stamped the sentiment, bats, and stars in the center. I colored all of my images with Copic markers. I added a black scalloped diamond behind the stamped panel to help it stand out.

In order to bring the color scheme together, I created a scalloped black diamond with a scalloped purple diamond in the middle. I then cut the diamond in half and added half of it to the top of the card and half of it to the bottom. To finish the card, I added a few black pearls on the orange panel. That's it!

I hope you enjoyed my card and will continue to check back to the blog for more inspiration. I hope you'll give the Fishtail Banners a try. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Fishtail Banner II: Have a Sweet Day! with Anni

Hey stampers, Anni here!  For this week's card I used one of my all time favorite sets Sweet Shoppe and combined it with the great Fishtail Banners II dies. These are so versatile and useful.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sweet Shoppe & Fishtail Banners Ice Cream, Cupcake & Donut card by Anni Lerche.

I chose one of the great sketches you can find here.

Sketches are so much fun to use. They are always a fantastic starting point for your project and you can build your idea around them.  I started by stamping all the sweet treats, colored them with Copics and fussy cut them (there are coordinating dies available, too).  I used totally untypical colors for me. Most of the time there is some turquoise on my cards but I tried to step out of my comfort zone.

I searched for some matching patterned paper in my stash and found this really old one. It might be six are seven years old bit I don't think you would recognize if I haven't told you.
I die cut that patterned paper and some off-white colored cardstock with the Fishtail Banner dies. The patterned paper I matted with some darker cardstock for more contrast.
I stamped the sentiment on the cardstock banner and adhered everything onto the card base.  For the little something I added some Glossy Accents to the treats.

Thanks for stopping by and have a sunny week.
Anni
