Big Bold Greetings Cards with Cathy and Bobbi

Hey friends! Cathy here today sharing a sweet little panda in his stylish home who would love some company!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Big Bold Greetings Everyday Card by Cathy Chapdelaine (featuring Panda Party, Wonderful Windows, Cozy Christmas)

I had a lot of fun creating this living room for my panda. I started with the wall and floor of the scene. First, I die-cut of piece of paper from the Subtle Grey Tones Paper using the second largest Stitched Rectangle Die. For the floor, I embossed a piece of light gray cardstock using the Woodgrain Embossing Folder and die-cut the piece twice using the ribbon die from the Ribbon & Lace Border Dies. I cut the ribbon pieces into "planks" and adhered 2 rows to the bottom of the die-cut paper piece. I then trimmed the excess from the right and left edges.

Next, I matted the paper piece on black cardstock and matted it again on green cardstock that I die-cut using the largest Stitched Rectangle Die. I adhered these combined pieces to the center of an A2 card front.

For the window, I die-cut the smaller window from the Wonderful Windows Dies from black cardstock. I traced around the outside of the die-cut window with a pencil on white cardstock, cut it out with scissors and inked a light blue sky with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. I die-cut the Autumn Tree Die from white cardstock, colored the branches with Copics and adhered portions of the branches to the right side of the sky piece. I trimmed off the excess along the right edge. I then die-cut leaves and flowers from the Wonderful Windows Dies from white cardstock, colored the flowers with Copics and inked the leaves with Twisted Citron Distress ink. After adhering them to the branches, I adhered the black window frame to the sky piece and adhered the window 2" from the bottom of the card and 1" from the right side.

Next, I stamped the panda from the Panda Party Stamps and the pillows/sofa from the Cozy Christmas Stamps on Neenah Classic Crest 80lb solar white cardstock, colored them with Copics and fussy cut them out. I decided the little panda needed a houseplant so I die-cut a small tag topper from the Stitched Arch Dies from white cardstock and colored it with Copics to resemble a basket planter. For a tall plant, I inked white cardstock with Rustic Wilderness Distress ink and die-cut a small fern leaf from the Spring Greenery Dies.

To finish, I stamped the "Miss You" sentiment from the Big Bold Greetings Stamps in Versamark ink on black cardstock, heat embossed it with white embossing powder and die-cut it using the coordinating dies. To add a little more color, I die-cut the coordinating "Miss You" die from light blue cardstock and layered the sentiment slightly overlapping it.

Hi friends! It’s Bobbi here with a BIG and BOLD greeting card! I am using the Big Bold Greeting stamps and coordinating dies for this vibrant birthday card. This is such a quick and easy card to make and is age-appropriate for anyone. I am using a fun paper from the Spring Fever paper pack that just makes the card happy and that cute sun is from the Garden Critters stamp set and coordinating dies.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Big Bold Greetings Everyday Card by Bobbi Lemanski (featuring Spring Fever patterned paper, Garden Critters)

I stamped the “Make a Wish” phrase using three ink colors, stamping one color at a time. I used a Memento ink in yellow, orange and pink. I cut out the phrase using the matching die. I also cut three candles from the same set and colored them using Copic Sketch markers in B05, B02, V09, V04, YG17 and YG03. The flames were done in R17, YR07, and YR19. I drew the wick with a fine-tip black marker. I also stamped the sun from the Garden Critters stamp set and cut it out using its coordinating die. I colored the sun using Copics in Y08, Y15, Y19 and Y38. I added white highlights to the sun and the candles using my Gelly Roll pen.

To make the background for this 5″ X 7″ card, I cut a 5″ wide X 4-1/2″ tall piece of patterned paper and attached it to the front of the card base. Next, I added dots of Pearl Pen in coordinating colors to the scallop joints at the top on each of the pink strands. These dots of color give the paper dimension and interest in a quick and easy way. Note: Pearl Pen is similar to Nuvo Drops. Either will work for this application.

I attached the sentiment, the candles and the sun to the white space at the top of the card, offsetting the design to the right. I used foam tabs under the sentiment to make it stand out above everything else for emphasis. I also added accent dots around the collage for more festive fun. You can see from the photo above how much dimension this card has. It’s so cute and so easy to do! This card is ready to send.

Wonderful Windows Cards with Vanessa and Tina

Hello to you! Vanessa here with a card using the Wonderful Windows Dies.

I trimmed a panel of cream cardstock slightly smaller than my card base and adhered it. Now I die-cut all the elements from various colors of cardstock, assembled the window and the flowers, added little accents to the grass (Picket Fence Border dies) with a marker, and adhered the pieces to the card.

Then I stamped the bike (Paris Afternoon), colored it with Copics, die-cut it with the matching die and adhered it.

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend! See you next week!

---------------------------------------

Hello crafty friends, it’s Tina with a sweet Easter card featuring the Wonderful Windows dies. These dies are so versatile as you will see in this project. Today, I am also mixing and matching several stamps, even one from a previous Christmas release. Always fun when you can stretch the use of your stash!

Let’s start by cutting the windows and curtains from a sheet of white cardstock. I used the large more solid window and adjusted the size to fit my design by removing the bottom part of the glass. I repeated this step and colored the window frames and curtains in shades of purple with Copics. I also cut two small white strips as windowsills. Two small panels were inked with a cloud stencil and Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry, they will go behind the window frames to create the ‘outside look’.

To decorate the windowsills, I cut two flower boxes using the die and adjusted them to the size I needed. You just cut the box once as is and pop the paper shape back into the die, shifting it to the correct measurement and die cut again.

Next, I selected several images to create the Easter scene, the cute little chicks and eggs (Chickie Baby), the sofa and cushions (Cozy Christmas) and finally the small flowers (Chubby Bunny). All the images were colored with Copics using Spring tones.

The combined sentiment comes from the Clucky Chickens set and was stamped onto a small white strip with Versafine Onyx Black ink. Can’t say enough good things about this ink! Love the dark crisp results you get each time!

To assemble the card, I started by creating the windows, gluing all the elements in place (curtains on the inside of the frame, then the cloud panel and lastly the windowsill with flower box).

For my background, I selected a beautiful flower design from the Spring Fever pack which looks like a gorgeous wallpaper. A dark purple strip was added as a baseboard, combined with a pink floor!

Now, I could adhere all the other elements in my scene, creating dimension where needed with foam tape. Finally, I glued the sentiment strip directly to the floor portion of the card. There was already so much color and cute images that I didn’t add any embellishments.

Wishing you lots of crafty fun making your own scene with these beautiful window dies! Thank you for joining me and happy crafting!

Guest Designer Spotlight: Garden Critters Cards with Kavya

Hi folks, Kavya here. I am back on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog with some fun inspiration using this quarter's release. I absolutely love Spring and Mendi did an awesome job of designing products that pair well with products that were previously released :)

Sunny Studio Stamps: Garden Critters Everyday Card by Kavya (featuring Squirrel Friends, Pink Peonies, Fall Friends)

For my first card, I tried creating a garden scene filled with adorable critters. I started off by ink blending my background using blue and yellow dye ink. For the grass, I used some green ink blended green cardstock.

I then stamped and colored a bunch of images from Garden Critters stampPink PeoniesSquirrel FriendsFall Friends and Spring Showers stamp set.

For my second card, I created a scene depicting a warm autumn afternoon where I am spending my time staring out my bedroom window! I started off by ink bending the brick background using a generic stencil and added some diecut grass at the bottom.

I then stamped and colored a bunch of images from Garden Critters stampA Bird's Life and Kiddie Pool stamp sets. I created the window using Wonderful Windows Dies and added some extra dimension to the windows using a copic markers.

That's it and I am done! I loved how both these cards turned out and decided to skip the sentiments so that I can use them for any occasion.

I hope you liked these projects! Happy crafting!

Rainy Days Die Focused Cards with Tina and Vanessa

Hello crafty friends, Tina here with a fun umbrella card featuring the sweet Rainy Days dies

Sunny Studio Stamps: Rainy Day Die Focused Best Wishes Card by Tina (featuring Stitched Arch Dies, Everyday Greetings, Baby Elephant)

Since I always need cute birthday cards, I decided to start by creating a colorful umbrella, die cutting all the pieces from 3 pages of the Spring Fever pack. I love the bright and happy tones in these papers! I also cut a panel from the pink dotted sheet and thereafter cut an arch window with the largest of the Stitched Arch dies.

Next, I selected a sweet elephant from Baby Elephants and colored the image with my Copic markers. For extra details I used my white gel pen. There is also a beautiful ‘sky’ paper in the Spring Fever pack which was perfect for my background. Now I only needed to cut three cloud borders with dies from my stash, two from white cardstock and one from vellum.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Rainy Day Die Focused Best Wishes Card by Tina (featuring Stitched Arch Dies, Everyday Greetings, Baby Elephant)

The bold sentiment from Every Day Greetings was stamped onto the smallest of the clouds with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I really like that scripty font!

To assemble the card, I first glued the three cloud layers to the back of the pink panel, then I added the sky panel. This entire piece was mounted to a white card base with foam tape. I adhered the cute elephant and the umbrella with foam squares, sprinkling some Heart Shaped Pearls across the sky and clouds.

I hope you will enjoy creating cards with these fun Rainy Days dies too! Thank you for visiting the blog and happy crafting!

Hello to you! Vanessa here with a card using the Rainy Days Dies.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Rainy Day Die Focused Everyday Card by Vanessa Menhorn (featuring Mini Mat & Tag Dies, Wonderful Window Dies)

I trimmed a panel from white cardstock, added a strip of checked patterned paper from the Spring Fever paper pad and adhered it to my blue card base. Now I die-cut the tag using the Mini Mat & Tag 4 dies from blue cardstock, tied-on baker's twine and adhered it with foam tape.

I die-cut the elements from Wonderful Windows and Rainy Days from white cardstock and patterned paper, colored the white pieces with Copics, assembled everything and adhered the elements to the card. Finally, I added highlights with a white gel pen.

This ensemble would bring color to any rainy day, don't you agree? Thanks for stopping by today and happy weekend!
