Cool Christmas Watercolored Card with Heidi

Hello everyone, Heidi Here!  Today I have a card that I created by combining a couple of adorable winter stamp sets, the "Bundle Up" and "Snow Kissed" I think these two stamps complement each other nicely.

For this card, I stamped and heat embossed the winter accessories from the "Bundle Up" stamp set to created a background pattern, then I water colored all the little images and I applied a very subtle blue color on the whole background. I stamped the adorable penguin from the "Snow Kissed" stamp set and I colored using water color brush markers as well, and I die cut it using its coordinated die. Finally, I stamped the sentiment on a piece of black card stock and I heat embossed it using white embossing powder.

I hope you've enjoyed this card, the "Snow kissed" and the "Bundle Up" stamp set are available at the Sunny Studio shop.

For today's sneak peek we have one last look at the Rain or Shine stamp set which includes a rainbow and two clouds.  The beauty of these images is that they come separate so you can use the clouds with the rainbow or on their own (or mixed with the larger cloud from the Sunny Sentiments set).  ;)

I wish you a very Merry Christmas to all of you who celebrate, and a Happy New Year!
Have a lovely day!

Snow Kissed Penguin Snowflakes Card with Marion

Hello again. It's Marion here and I appreciate you dropping in on the Sunny Studio blog today. All week the DT have been creating with the Snow Kissed stamp set and today I have some more inspiration for you.

I started by stamping the penguin on the sled and die cutting it with its coordinating die. I die cut two of the images and adhered them together as it is suspended across the window opening on the front of the card, and I wanted it to be more sturdy. The window is a partial die cut of a circle die.

It's a bit easier to see the window opening in this photo. The image was coloured with Copic Markers and these little guys are so much fun to colour!

I stamped some subtle snowflakes from the same set in Versamark ink on the card front, before adhering some of the snowflakes die cuts from white card stock from the coordinating die set.

For the sneak peek of the day, we have a look at a new alphabet set coming soon called "Sweet Script".  This fun set is perfect for creating your own custom sentiments ( which is particularly helpful if English isn't your native language) and also for personalizing your projects and scrapbooks.  :)

Thanks for visiting today,

Snow Kissed Ice Skating Penguin Card with Elise

Hi everyone! It's Elise again to share a fun card that features the Snow Kissed stamp set and dies!

The penguin and ice are stamped onto white card stock and colored with Primsacolor pencils. I also really liked the extra snowflake dies that are included in the die set, so I cut those from white card stock to decorate around the image. For a fun detail, I added clear stickles to the snowflakes and ice! Here is close up on the penguin and glittery snowflakes:

Before I go here's a peek at a new die set coming soon.  This 4-1/2" wide by 4-1/4" high set has hearts of all sizes and creates stitched lines for both the negative and positive spaces,  making it perfect for creating shaped card bases, shaker cards, heart tags and other embellishments!  This die along with the rest of the Spring release will be available for sale on December 26th.

Thanks for stopping by! Stop by again tomorrow for some more inspiration featuring the Snow Kissed stamp set and another sneak peek! :)

Snow Kissed and Sledding card with Audrey

Hi there! Audrey here!  I've really been into purple for winter scenes lately, which it not usual for me, but I'm enjoying it while it lasts! :)  I just love the sledding penguin from the Snow Kissed stamp set, and since I hadn't used him yet, I figured it was time!

I watercolored a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor paper with Shaded Lilac and Wilted Violet distress inks, with a hint of the darker purple coming up from behind the snowy hill.  I stamped, colored, and die-cut the penguin with the coordinating Snow Kissed die set.  I popped him up on the hill using foam tape, and stamped a sentiment, also from the Snow Kissed stamp set.  Finally, I stamped some periwinkle snowflakes before adding a scattering of sequins.  There are no rules in card making right? *wink*

That's it for me today!  Hope you enjoyed my card!

For today's peek at our Spring release we have a first look at a stamp set called "Sunny Borders".  This set is filled with 5 unique borders (which will coordinate with matching dies), 2 shadow stamps, a versatile banner and one sentiment.  It's an all around great basic set whether you're new to stamping or have been doing this a long time.  :)

Be sure to stop back by tomorrow for more inspiration from the design team!  Have a great day!!

Snow Kissed Winter Penguins Card with Heidi

Hello everybody, Heidi here.  Welcome to the Sunny Studio Blog!  This week we are introducing the "Snow Kissed" stamp and its coordinated die set. I had to create this card with these adorable penguins having fun in the snowy hills!

For my card I stamped the penguin on the sled and the penguin on the skates, coloring them with Copic Markers.  I then created a winter scene using some snowy hills and mountains and framed them using some patterned paper.

I hand drew some string from the skater penguin to the sled, so it looks like the skater penguin is pulling the sled up the hill. You could also use real twine whichI think would be neat.  The "Snow Kissed" stamps and coordinated die are available at the Sunny Studio Stamp shop.

Before I go, we have another sneak peek to share with you.  Today is a look at a set designed to coordinating with yesterday's peek called "Sunny Sentiments".  All the images and sentiments are based around the word SUNSHINE!  This is going to be a great staple that will work with so many other sets and is perfect for scene building!

(Available for purchase on December 26th).

I hope you enjoyed today's card and I wish you a lovely day!

Snow Kissed Skiing Penguins Christmas Card with Melissa

Hello everyone, Melissa here. Today I have a card to share with you using the Snow Kissed stamp set, one of my favorites!

To create this card I first die-cut a circle out of white cardstock.  I then stamped the greeting at the top of the circle in some Versamark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I stamped the two penguins at the bottom and then masked them off so I could ink up the background. I added ink mostly to the outside of the circle and worked my way in getting progressively lighter. I removed the masks from the penguins and colored them with Copic markers. To finish off the card I added it to a white card base with some green patterned paper.

I hope you enjoyed the card for today.    Before I go, I wanted to share a little peek of some images from a new stamp set coming soon called Rain or Shine.  :)

Don’t forget to check back and see what the other creative team members have created this week! Thanks for stopping by!

Bundled Up Penguin Holiday Gift Tags with Elise

Hello! It's Elise again with some super cute and easy Christmas tags that feature the Bundled Up and Snow Kissed stamp sets and dies.

I starting by stamping and coloring the penguins with Prismacolor pencils and die-cutting them with the coordinating dies. I also stamped and colored the ice slab with the coordinating colors to give them a little bit of shading along the bottom edge. The images are also all attached with foam tape. This close up on the pink tag shows some of the details that I added to the penguins with a white gel pen.

I also added clear stickles on the ice slab, but it's hard to see in the picture. I finished the tag with some white ribbon and a twine bow in coordinating colors. These will look so cute on Christmas gifts!

Thanks for stopping by today, and don't forget to come back tomorrow to see some more inspiration! :)

Bundled Up in Blue Christmas Card with Audrey

Hello there!  Audrey here!  Today I have a watercolor card to share with you using the Bundled Up and Snow Kissed stamp sets!

I watercolored a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor paper with my $5 Artist Loft watercolors from Michaels.  When it was dry, I added a decorative edge.  Then I stamped and fussy cut the penguin and his accessories from the Bundled Up stamp set, and the piece of ice from the Snow Kissed stamp set.

It's a bit hard to tell in the pictures,  but I glittered the iceberg and it is so sparkly in real life!  I popped him up on the watercolor panel with foam tape, and stamped a few snowflakes around him, which are also included in the Bundled Up stamp set.  Finally, I stamped a sentiment from the Bundled Up set on a die-cut and popped that up with foam tape before adhering the entire panel to a white card base.

That's all for me today!  Be sure to stop back by tomorrow for lots more inspiration from the design team! :)

Sunny Saturday Share: Penguin Birthday & Christmas Cards

Hello there!  How was your Thanksgiving?!  Did you brave the crowds and do some holiday shopping afterwards?  I traditional head out with one or more of my sisters and I gotta say it was pretty wonderful this year.  It must have something to do with more retailers offering their deals online to thin out the stores a bit.  Of course I did both types of shopping so I'm feeling pretty spent in every sense of the word.  ;)

Today we have some cute cards to share all using our penguin images from our Bundled Up and Snow Kissed stamp sets.

Up first is a super clever card by Angel Johns combining our Bundled Up and Birthday Smiles stamp sets.  I just love how she took the ice cream cone and turned it into a party hat using one of the pom-poms from the hats in the set!

For our second share we have an adorable card by Photcrafter posted to our Flickr group.  I am in love the colors of her card and the cute way she has the penguins peeking out from the circle windows!

Up next is a darling card by Cindy Horvath from over at the Mod Squad Challenge Blog using our Snow Kissed Stamp Set.  I love her use of patterned paper and how she colored her image to match.  So adorable!

Our last card features that same penguin image in a soft and sweet snowy scene from Cards By Nicola.  So cute!

I hope you will join these ladies by sharing your darling creations with us on our Facebook page, in our Flickr group or by tagging us with the hashtag #SunnyStudioStamps on instagram.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend!  :)

Bundled Up Coral & Mint Penguin & Hot Cocoa Christmas Card

Hello there!  Thanks to everyone who stopped by and left sweet comments on our blog hop post yesterday.  There's still time to win one of two stamp sets being given away so if you missed it, make sure to check out THIS post.

I am so excited to hear your ideas on what stamp sets you would like to see in the future!  I definitely have plans for more critters so I'm happy to hear that many of you guys want them too.  I can't wait to start sharing peeks of our Spring release throughout the month of December.  If you're on facebook make sure to like our page because we will be sharing many of those peeks over there (see this helpful tutorial on how you can actually see more posts from your favorite fan pages in your newsfeed).  If you're not on facebook, not to worry... We will be sharing some peeks here as well.  :)

Today I have another card using the Bundled Up stamp set with some non-traditional Christmas colors.  I had colored this little guy beforehand so I took my cues from him and sponged on Cracked Pistachio and Barn Door distress inks for my background.

Taking another cue from the little guy, I thought it would be fun to play up the hot cocoa image for my background so I repeatedly stamped the hot cocoa mug using the same Barn Door distress ink after stamping it off once on scrap paper.

I love how the little ice block from the Snow Kissed set looks with the Bundled Up Penguin!

I will be back tomorrow with one more Bundled Up card before I turn the blog back to my ultra talented creative team.  :)

Snow Kissed Find Joy in The Simple Pleasures Penguin Skiing Card

Hello there!  Today I'm sharing a card using the Snow Kissed stamp set.  My kids and oldest daughter in particular are major snow bunnies so I designed this set with them in mind.

This set includes a lot of individual snowflake images.  Not only were these added as a way to take advantage of the extra tiny space available around the main images, but they were designed to be used together on a clear block for stamping unique custom backgrounds.

I finished off my card with a couple of tabs topped with some die-cut snowflake shapes from the coordinating Snow Kissed die set.  The red, white and blue color scheme is somewhat unexpected for a Winter card, but I like the way it turned out.  ;)

I hope you will join us tomorrow for a special blog hop with CardMaker Magazine.  :)

Sunny Saturday Share: Turkeys, Penguins & Ice Cream, Oh My!

Hello there!  It's time for another Sunny Saturday Share (although I think it's going to have to be more of a sunny state of mind since it is pouring cats and dogs right now in my neck of the woods).  ;)

I thought I would share some fun ideas I came across on the web this week using our stamps.  Up first we have three darling cards created by Becki Adams that she featured over on the Scrapbook Expo blog earlier this week.  Make sure to hop over there to see all oh her cards up close.  I love how she paper-pieced them all using our Happy Home and Harvest Happiness stamps!  So cute!

When I was surfing around Pinterest this week I also came across this darling card using our Snow Kissed stamps.  You can see more of her beautiful cards on her Pinterest board titled Cards by Nicola.

The last card was shared with us on our Flickr group by Graciellie Design.  Isn't it so yummy?!  I adore the sweet colors she chose, but most of all I love the texture she added to her ice cream scoops from our Birthday Smiles set!  So fun!  To see a tutorial on how she created this happy card, make sure to visit her blog HERE.  :)

I can't fully express how happy it makes me to stumble across your beautiful creations on the web.  I hope you will join these talented ladies and upload your projects to our flickr group, share them with us on our Facebook page or share them on instagram using the hashtag #sunnystudiostamps.

Thanks so much for visiting today.  I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!  :)

Big Hugs!

Snow Kissed Penguin Winter Birthday Card with Melissa

Hi everyone Melissa here. Today I have a card to share with you using the Birthday Smiles stamp set and the Fishtail Banner dies. I think the Birthday smiles set is so versatile and fun, I especially love the balloons and the ice-cream (I will have to be sure to use that in a future card!).

To create this card I first marked out a rectangle on a piece of card, this would be the area for my scene. I die-cut a piece of masking paper and laid it where I wanted the snowy hill to be. I then stamped the little hearts and dots from the Birthday Smiles set onto the background with Versamark ink also adding some smaller dots with the Versamarker. I added white embossing powder and heat embossed those onto the background.

After I had done that I added the inky sky. I did this by blending Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire and a Black Soot Distress Inks. I then stamped the balloon and the little penguin from Snow Kissed onto some white card, colored them with Copic markers and fussy cut them. I stuck the balloon and the penguin onto the card and added a string to have the penguin holding the balloon.

I stuck the background panel onto a card with some patterned paper and then laid over top a piece of card with a rectangle die cut out of the middle.  I like creating scenes this way because I think it adds some dimension to the card. To finish it off I cut a strip of white card and die cut both ends using one of the fishtail banner dies. I then added the sentiment in silver embossing power.

That finishes up the card for today. I hope you enjoyed it! Thanks for stopping by!

Introducing Snow Kissed: Penguins Meet Winter Sports!

Guess what?!  We are on our final sneak peek before our big grand opening tomorrow!  Today's set called Snow Kissed coordinates perfectly with the Bundled Up stamp set shared yesterday.

For my first card I used a super cool Bokeh technique inspired by the amazing Sandy Allnock featured HERE on her blog.  She used an airbrush and magnets for her technique, but since I didn't have those handy I chose to create a similar look using vinyl circles I cut out on my Silhouette Cameo and sponging on different layers of Peacock FeathersMermaid LagoonSalty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire distress inks. It was seriously so much fun and I love the results!

I finished off my card by creating a little sledding scene using the penguin stamp and some of the snowflakes and phrase dies found in the coordinating Snow Kissed Sunny Snippets die set.  I love how the white pops against the background!

For my next card I chose to go soft and sweet using Tumbled Glass and Spun Sugar distress inks.  I used a heat gun to make sure the pink background was good and dry before stamping it with VersaMark ink and heat embossing the snow pattern in the background with white embossing powder.

To carry out the soft feel of my card I tied a bow around the bottom using swiss dot organza ribbon.  I used more of the coordinating dies to cut some snowflakes, coating them with a bit of Stardust Stickles glitter glue.  I love the shimmer and sparkle it gave my card!

Here's a closer look at the full Snow Kissed stamp set used for both of today's cards (available for purchase tomorrow morning):

Thanks so much for visiting!  I hope you will check back tomorrow for all of the grand opening festivities--I'm seriously feeling like a kid the day before Christmas!  :)
