Pirate Pals Boy Themed Birthday Card with Eloise

Hi everyone, Eloise here and today I have another birthday card to share with you using the Pirate Pals stamp set. I'm loving making boy themed cards with this set - it's so nice to have a few in my stash!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Pirate Pals Boy Themed Birthday Card by Eloise Blue

To begin my card today I went ahead and first did the background piece. I took a piece of watercolour cardstock and tore all four dies to create that distressed look. I then used Antique Linen, Ground Espresso and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink to colour it. Once it was coloured I flicked on some water and dried it all with a heat tool.

Next up I stamped out my images from Pirate Pals and coloured them in with Copic Markers. I only used a few colours and just repeated using them to create a simple colour scheme. Once they were all coloured in I die cut them out using the coordinating dies.

I then added fun foam behind my panel piece and adhered it down to a grey striped piece of patterned paper that I adhered onto a card base. I then adhered all my images using foam adhesive too.

For my sentiment I white heat embossed it onto some green cardstock, cut the end off at an angle and also added a bow with some hemp cord to the other side and adhered it down onto my card also.

That finished up the card for today, I hope you enjoyed and I'll be back next week! Thanks so much for stopping by.

Pirate Pals Nautical Themed Card with Lexa

Hi crafty friends! Lexa here today with a card featuring the adorable Pirate Pals stamps and the coordinating dies. This card would be perfect for a little boy or maybe just someone who loves cute little pirates so much.

I have a patterned paper pad with sailor theme, and after looking at the papers, I got an idea to create a nautical look with this Pirate Pals set. First thing to do is stamp all the images using Versafine black ink and watercolor them with Distress Markers. After finish with the coloring I die cut each of the pieces using the coordinating dies

I mixed in several additional stamp sets for this card - Oceans Of Joy and Tropical Paradise. I also used the Ocean Of Joy coordinating dies to create the sand hill and to die cut the red crab. I'm pretty happy how the scene turned out. For the ocean I use Stitched Scallop Dies and it looks adorable, as it matches the stitched on the rectangle panel.

Thank you so much for visiting the blog today. I hope you have an amazing day!

Pirate Pals Boy Themed Birthday Card with Nancy

We are so very excited to welcome Nancy Damiano to our Sunny Studio Stamps design team! Let's get to know Nancy a little better, and check out her first card share she's created for us.

Hey there Sunny Studio fans, I'm Nancy Damiano and I live in central NJ with my husband and sun. I've been lucky enough to work in the scrapbook industry for 10+ years for many different manufacturers. Recently I took the leap into cardmaking and I'm in love! Coloring my heart out to create a small token of appreciation for family and friends - that's definitely for me. I'm enjoying learning all the crafty techniques that go into these small works of art. When I'm not crafting, I'm traveling, reading and binging on Netflix. I have a passion for the color aqua, Disney World, and paper goods. I’ve been making things for as long as I can remember. I learned long ago that the best things are handmade.

For my first card, I'm sharing a birthday card using the fun Pirate Pals stamp set and coordinating dies. I love these little characters and they were so much fun to color with Copics!

I started the card by using Distress Ink in Broken China on watercolor paper to create the drippy goodness on the front of the card. Next, I used the Stitched Scallops dies to cut a fun wave border. This was the perfect spot for those pirates to peek out of.

Here’s a close up view of the watercolor and background. I added two sentiments to the lower right hand corner of the card with black ink. It’s the perfect design shelf for that little pirate ship! Two dew drop gems connect the two halves of the card.

Two dew drop gems connect the two halves of the design. This completes the card! I hope this has given you some ideas when creating some Pirate Pal cards of your own.

Pirate Pals Polaroid Pirate Scene Birthday Card with Karin

Hi everyone! It’s Karin here again to share a new, fun card that I've created with the newest release. This is a super sweet stamp set called Pirate Pals and it is awesome for kids’ cards.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Pirate Pals Polaroid Pirate Scene Birthday Card by Karin Ã…kesdotter

For this card I stamped, masked, and stamped again the cute images from Pirate Pals to create a fun little pirate scene which I then colored with Copic markers.

I created a photo frame from white cardstock for the scene and then adhered the "photo" to a woodgrain stamped kraft panel. I made a knot from hemp string and fastened it to the back of the panel with glue dots.
