Guest Designer Spotlight: Cards with Sara Zoppi

Hi crafty friends, Sara here! It's been a long time since I was here, but today I am super happy to be guesting again for Sunny Studio Stamps! And I can't wait to show you two inspiration cards featuring some of the recent released products. So, let's dive into the first card!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Spring Garland & Penguin Pair Card by Sara Zoppi (featuring Icing Rectangle Dies)

Spring has come and the Spring Garland stamp set is a must have! As soon as I saw the preview, I knew I would have paired those two corner garlands with the recent released too Penguin Pair, which contains some of the cutest penguins ever!

I firstly stamped all the images I wanted to feature in my scene using Memento Black ink on some alcohol friendly paper. Then I colored all the images with my brand new OLO markers (alcohol markers are my absolutely favourite coloring mediums and I couldn't resist those ones too). The colors I used are listed below. I then added some details with the white gel pen and I die cut everything using the coordinating dies.

- Red Combo: R0.6 – R1.5 – R0.4
- Pink combo: RV1.7 – RV1.5 – RV0.4
- Orange combo: O2.7 – O2.5 – O1.3 – YO2.3
- Yellow Combo: Y2.3 – Y1.2 – Y1.1
- Green Combo: YG8.7 – YG1.6 – YG1.4 – YG1.2
- Penguin: RK – RG7 – RG6 – RG5 – OR2.2 – O4.1 – O2.5

For the background, I used the newest Icing Rectangle Frame dies to create a frame using a brown glitter paper and I put inside a piece of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock which I previously splattered with some pearl white ink.

For the sentiment, I used one of the mini phrases included in the previous released Punny Fruit Greetings stamp and I completed it with the word hug, made with the Chloe Alphabet Dies.

I assembled all the pieces with a mix of liquid glue and foam tape, in order to create depth, and then I matted the whole scene with a sligthly larger white panel. To complete everything, I also added some clear sparkly sequins. And here's the finished result!

For my second inspiration, I went for a more "graphical" card, using the Woolly Friends stamp set. Who says sheep are only "Easter-themed"? Easter has already passed and I had to think something different.

I decided to start creating a custom "patterned" design, with a sort of no-line coloring on some Neenah Desert Storm cardstock, since my sheep are black and white. I repeatedly stamped three of the ones included in the stamp set (I chose the three who are symmetrical) using a light brown ink and then I colored all of the faces with OLO (BK- CG9 – CG7 – CG5 – CG4 – OR1.2 for the blush). As always, when I do some no-line coloring, I use coordinating pencil colors to add some details at the edges of my images. Then I used a white pencil to fill the wool and I added some white gel dots on the "fur" to create some texture. I filled the empty spaces between the sheep with some black and white dots too.

I then moved to the rest of the card. I knew I wanted to use this custom patterned panel create a sentiment at the right bottom corner, so I white heat embossed the "life is better" phrase on some black paper and I die cut the EWE word from black glitter cardstock using the same alphabet of the previous card.

I also die cut the largest Loopy Rectangle Frame die to add a frame on my patterned panel. While I was glueing all down, I realized I would have loved to add another single sheep next to the sentiment, so I stamped it on a white paper and I colored using the same combo, then I die cut it with the coordinating die. I assembled everything on a piece of A2 white panel and here's the finished result too!

Thanks for stopping by! I really hope you will like my projects and you will be inspired to create something! See you next time!

Woolly Friends Card with Yan

Hi friends! It’s Yan here, and today I’m excited to share a cozy and cheerful card featuring the adorable Woolly Friends Stamps. These sweet little sheep are perfect for creating warm, heartfelt scenes, and I had so much fun bringing this soft, rustic design to life.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Woolly Friends Card by Yan X DIY (featuring Radiating Circles Dies, Inside Greetings Friends)

To begin, I stamped the adorable sheep from the Woolly Friends Stamps onto watercolor paper using VersaFine Clair Ink-Pinecone. I then colored them with watercolor, giving them a soft and cozy look. Once finished, I used the Woolly Friends Dies to cut them out neatly.

Next, I die cut a circle from white cardstock using the Radiating Circles Dies. I then stamped a fence image onto the circle using a light gray ink and added soft watercolor to create a gentle, hand-painted background.

For the card base, I trimmed the edges of a piece of kraft cardstock by hand to give it a slightly rustic feel. I then heat embossed a sentiment from the Inside Greetings Friends Stamps in white directly onto the background, creating a soft contrast against the kraft tone. Finally, I assembled all the elements using foam tape and glue to add dimension and bring the whole scene together.

I hope this cozy little card brings a smile to your day and inspires your next crafting project.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Woolly Friends Cards with June Helsen

Hello crafty friends! It's June here, and I was lucky enough to be invited to be a guest designer for the latest release, yay! Today I'll be sharing 2 cards I made using my favorite products from the new release, along with some other fun older Sunny Studio products. Let's get started!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Woolly Friends Cards by June Helsen (featuring Loopy Rectangle Frame Dies, Fancy Frame Oval Dies, Cable Knit Embossing Folder)

My first card features a little scene I made using the new Woolly Friends stamps. These were so much fun to color. I loved adding a bit of texture to the sheep's wool and coloring the fence to look like wood!

I cut the largest of the Fancy Frames Oval dies and used both pieces to frame my scene. I backed my frames using a piece of cardstock on which I did some soft ink blending. I used Salvaged Patina and Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide and went in with a very light hand so the backdrop wouldn't be too distracting. I also added some ink splatters with Peacock Feathers and Rustic Wilderness.

My favorite small detail of the Woolly Friends stamps is the scripty 'ewe' that's included in the dies. I just knew I had to use it, so I picked a sentiment I could use it with. For my background, I decided to play into the sheep theme even more and use the Cable Knit embossing folder along with the Loopy Rectangle Frame. I cut both from different shades of blue cardstock and did some ink blending on the background after embossing. I also added some white ink splatters on top for some more detail.

I love how this one turned out, so for my second card, I wanted to use the same stamp set and loopy frames, but in a totally different way. This time, I combined it with the Clucky Chickens stamp set to create a farm-themed card. I kept my colors very neutral and warm-toned, so it gives it a bit of a vintage look.

I kept my background very plain and simple this time. Just some light-handed ink blending using Antique Linen and Tea Dye Distress Oxide, and some ink splatters using Vintage Photo. I cut my frame from brown cardstock, matching the images I colored and my splatters. I used a different sentiment this time, but also used the scripty 'ewe' of course!

And those are my 2 cards as a guest designer! I had such a fun time making these cards and playing around with some of the new products. I wish you all a very creative weekend.
