Guest Designer Spotlight: Cards with Sara Zoppi

Hi crafty friends, Sara here! It's been a long time since I was here, but today I am super happy to be guesting again for Sunny Studio Stamps! And I can't wait to show you two inspiration cards featuring some of the recent released products. So, let's dive into the first card!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Spring Garland & Penguin Pair Card by Sara Zoppi (featuring Icing Rectangle Dies)

Spring has come and the Spring Garland stamp set is a must have! As soon as I saw the preview, I knew I would have paired those two corner garlands with the recent released too Penguin Pair, which contains some of the cutest penguins ever!

I firstly stamped all the images I wanted to feature in my scene using Memento Black ink on some alcohol friendly paper. Then I colored all the images with my brand new OLO markers (alcohol markers are my absolutely favourite coloring mediums and I couldn't resist those ones too). The colors I used are listed below. I then added some details with the white gel pen and I die cut everything using the coordinating dies.

- Red Combo: R0.6 – R1.5 – R0.4
- Pink combo: RV1.7 – RV1.5 – RV0.4
- Orange combo: O2.7 – O2.5 – O1.3 – YO2.3
- Yellow Combo: Y2.3 – Y1.2 – Y1.1
- Green Combo: YG8.7 – YG1.6 – YG1.4 – YG1.2
- Penguin: RK – RG7 – RG6 – RG5 – OR2.2 – O4.1 – O2.5

For the background, I used the newest Icing Rectangle Frame dies to create a frame using a brown glitter paper and I put inside a piece of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock which I previously splattered with some pearl white ink.

For the sentiment, I used one of the mini phrases included in the previous released Punny Fruit Greetings stamp and I completed it with the word hug, made with the Chloe Alphabet Dies.

I assembled all the pieces with a mix of liquid glue and foam tape, in order to create depth, and then I matted the whole scene with a sligthly larger white panel. To complete everything, I also added some clear sparkly sequins. And here's the finished result!

For my second inspiration, I went for a more "graphical" card, using the Woolly Friends stamp set. Who says sheep are only "Easter-themed"? Easter has already passed and I had to think something different.

I decided to start creating a custom "patterned" design, with a sort of no-line coloring on some Neenah Desert Storm cardstock, since my sheep are black and white. I repeatedly stamped three of the ones included in the stamp set (I chose the three who are symmetrical) using a light brown ink and then I colored all of the faces with OLO (BK- CG9 – CG7 – CG5 – CG4 – OR1.2 for the blush). As always, when I do some no-line coloring, I use coordinating pencil colors to add some details at the edges of my images. Then I used a white pencil to fill the wool and I added some white gel dots on the "fur" to create some texture. I filled the empty spaces between the sheep with some black and white dots too.

I then moved to the rest of the card. I knew I wanted to use this custom patterned panel create a sentiment at the right bottom corner, so I white heat embossed the "life is better" phrase on some black paper and I die cut the EWE word from black glitter cardstock using the same alphabet of the previous card.

I also die cut the largest Loopy Rectangle Frame die to add a frame on my patterned panel. While I was glueing all down, I realized I would have loved to add another single sheep next to the sentiment, so I stamped it on a white paper and I colored using the same combo, then I die cut it with the coordinating die. I assembled everything on a piece of A2 white panel and here's the finished result too!

Thanks for stopping by! I really hope you will like my projects and you will be inspired to create something! See you next time!

Spring Garland Card with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing this Birthday card featuring the new Spring Garland stamp set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Spring Garland & Vintage Valentine Birthday Card by Janneke Peters (featuring Big Bold Greetings, Love Birds)

For this card, I started by blending inks to create a soft and colorful background. This gives the card a bright and cheerful base that really makes the images pop.

Next, I stamped the images using the Spring Garland, Vintage Valentine, and Love Birds stamp sets. I colored everything with my Ohuhu markers and I used a white gel pen to add highlights.

To complete the card, I stamped the "Make A Wish" sentiment using the Big Bold Greetings set using two different ink tones for a fun effect. Finally, I arranged and adhered all the images onto the card.

Card done, ready to send joy! Thanks for joining me, and see you next week.

Sydney Alphabet Die Focused Card with Tina M

Hello there! Tina M here sharing a card created with the Sydney Alphabet Dies!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sydney Alphabet & Penguin Pair Birthday Card by Tina Magnusson (featuring Spring Garland, Icing Rectangle Frame Dies)

For my card I used an A2 size card base. I started by trimming a piece of the red sunburst patterned paper from the Classic Sunburst Paper pack to 5,5 x 4,25 inches and adhered it to my card base using double sided tape. Next, I stamped the flowers and butterflies from the Spring Garland Stamp set, one of the penguins and a bow from the Penguin Pair Stamp set on alcohol ink friendly card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored them with my Copic Markers, see list below. I then die cut the images out using the coordinating Spring Garland Dies and Penguin Pair Dies.

Copic colors used:
Flowers: R01/02/05, Y17
Leaves: YG61/63, G94/95
Penguin: N3/4/5/6/8, W0/1/3, R00/30/32, YR21/24/27
Bow: R01/02/05
Butterflies: R01/02/05, YG61, W3

Next, I die cut the largest of the Icing Rectangle Frame Dies and the words happy and birthday out of watercolor paper using the Sydney Alphabet Dies, and colored them using a super sparkly metallic watercolor! I also die cut the letters from black cardstock, to create a shadow to the watercolored letters.

I adhered the rectangle frame and the letters to the card base using liquid glue. I added foam dots to back of the flowers, butterflies and the penguin for dimension and adhered them to the card!

Thanks for stopping by! Wishing you all a happy and colorful day!

Woolly Friends Card with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing this Easter card featuring the new Woolly Friends stamp set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Woolly Friends Easter Card by Janneke Peters (featuring Mini Grass Border Dies, Wicker Basket Dies, Sprawling Surfaces, Spring Garland)

For this card, I started by creating a soft background on watercolor paper, painting a few gentle patches with watercolor. While that was drying, I die-cut the Wicker Basket dies twice, once from light brown cardstock and once from dark brown, to layer behind the light one for added depth. I also die-cut a Mini Grass Border to place between the path and the fence in the background, as well as some small tufts of grass from the Wicker Basket dies, which I blended with green ink.

Next came the stamping. I created the background by stamping the fence from the Woolly Friends stamp set and the stone floor from the Sprawling Surfaces stamp set, then colored them and adhered them to the (now) dry watercolor background.

Now it was time to fill the basket. I chose two adorable sheep from the Woolly Friends set, adding bows around their ears and necks, and give one a little easter egg basket to make them even cuter.  Then I filled the basket further with flowers from the Spring Garland stamp set, as well as Easter eggs from the Bunnyville and Woolly Friends stamp sets to complete the easter scene.

Finally, I adhered everything to the card base and stamped the large Easter sentiment also from the Bunnyville stamp set in green onto the background for the finishing touch.

Card done, ready to send joy! Thanks for joining me, and see you next week.

Spring Garland Card with Yan

Hi friends! It's Yan here, and I'm excited to share a nostalgic little spring card featuring the delicate Spring Garland Stamps. These lovely florals and leafy garlands are perfect for creating a cheerful spring design, and keeping the card flat lets the soft colors and details really shine.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Spring Garland Card by Yan X DIY (featuring Scalloped Oval Mat Dies)

To start, I stamped the beautiful bouquets from the Spring Garland Stamps onto watercolor paper using VersaFine Clair Ink-Pinecone. I then brought them to life with soft watercolor, letting the delicate petals and leaves bloom with gentle spring colors. Once the watercolor was completely dry, I added a touch of gold paint splatter to give the card a little shimmer and texture.

Next, I heat embossed a sweet sentiment from the stamp set onto vellum paper and used the Scalloped Oval Mat 3 Dies to cut it out neatly. Finally, I assembled all the elements using double-sided tape, keeping the design simple and flat while letting the florals and soft spring colors shine.

I hope this little spring card brings a touch of nostalgic joy to your day!
