Baking Spirits Bright Card with Tina

Hello crafty friends, Tina here and today we are making a Christmas card with the sweet Baking Spirits High stamp and die set! Baking cookies is such a great holiday tradition, and this set completely provides all the elements for a fun baking card. I combined several images from the set with the coffee mug from Mug Hugs.

Starting with a white card base, I added a pink panel from my stash. Next, I die cut the Frilly Frames Polka-Dot dies from a sheet of white cardstock. I layered this over the pink to get a nice contrast for my background.

I stamped and colored a selection of images from the Baking Spirits High stamp and my mug (Mug Hugs). This year I used a lot of pink and teal shades for my Christmas cards, such a pretty color combo! All the coloring was done with Copic markers.

As always I love to mix and match stamps and dies so I browsed through my stash and decided that the Poinsettia from the Woolen Mitten set would be the perfect backdrop for my images. I cut three flowers and several leaves and inked them with Distress Oxides (Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers). The sentiment was selected from the Victorian Christmas set (such a pretty font!) and stamped onto a white Brilliant Banner 1 with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Now it was time to build the layers of this card, starting with the poinsettias and leaves, I glued them directly to the white panel with liquid glue. Next, I added the mug and cookies with foam tape for dimension. Two pink jewels from the Pastel Jewel Mix were added to the banner.

Baking Spirits Bright Card with Gladys

Hello crafty friends, Gladys here! I'm excited to be back on the blog today to share a fun box card with the Baking Spirits Bright stamp set. I have been loving the gingerbread products this year so I decided to create a gingerbread scene so let's get started. 

First, I stamped the candy canes, boy gingerbread and tree from Baking Spirits Bright. I also found an older set called Jolly Gingerbread for the gingerbread house, mom/dad gingerbread, and gumdrops. I was happy to create a gingerbread family with these two sets. I colored them with Copic markers then used my Scan and Cut to cut them all out. 

Next, I used the My Favorite Things box card dienamics to cut all the elements for the box card. I chose a red cardstock for the base and gingham pattern paper from Joyful Holiday for the panels. I also used the MFT snow drifts dienamics to ground some of the images. 

Once I was happy with the placements of all the images, I adhered them with strong adhesive tape. For the sentiment I white heat embossed on black cardstock and trim it down. Finally I added diamond stickles for lots of sparkle.

Merry Mocha Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends! Happy Thanksgiving! Marine here, super happy to be back on the blog with this set of see-through shaker tags showcasing the adorable Merry Mocha mini stamp set. I love making tags throughout the year, but especially during the holiday season, and I thought this cup of mocha was the perfect size for tags. And what's better than gingerbread cookies to go with this delicious hot beverage?

To give my tags some kind of a vintage look, I stamped my images on a light kraft cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. As always I used the coordinating dies to cut them all, and colored everything using my alcohol markers, except for the white sections that I colored using a white colored pencil. So, along with the Merry Mocha cups, I stamped the gingerbread couple from Christmas Cookies, as well as the one from Baking Spirits Bright and the candy canes from that same set.

Next I worked on the tags. I started off by cutting six tag shapes out of a dark kraft cardstock using a die from Mini Mat & Tag 3, cut an opening inside each tag panel using another die from the same set, and then attached a piece of acetate at the back of each tag. I set three of those tags aside, and at the back of the three other tags, I attached foam strips all along the opening to create room for my shaker material. I added polymer clay candy cane slices inside that space, as well as clear glitter, and used the three tags I had put aside to close the three others.

I attached a cup of Merry Mocha, candy canes and a gingerbread cookie on each tag using 1mm foam squares, I also created three identical greetings using the "Eat Drink and Be Merry" sentiment from Merry Mocha. I white heat embossed three greetings on brown cardstock, and used the matching die to cut them. Next I cut three small tags out of the same light kraft cardstock as the images using a die from Wrap Around Box, and I stuck a greeting on each small tag using 1mm foam squares again.

To finish my tags, I tied each small tag to a bigger one using white thread, and I created three red bows that I stuck at the top of each tag using 3mm glue dots. And for once I didn't feel that it needed white highlights, maybe because I colored on kraft cardstock, who knows?

Baking Spirits Bright Card with Tammy

Hello friends! Tammy here sharing a festive holiday card, featuring the sweet set, Baking Spirits Bright. Every Christmas, my daughter and I spend a few days baking cookies to give to friends, family, and neighbors. It has become one of our favorite traditions, and one I cherish most of all! 

To begin, I stamped the images from Baking Spirits Bright, colored with Copic markers, and die cut with the Baking Spirits Bright Dies. Next, I die cut a scalloped oval from Bristol smooth cardstock using the Scalloped Oval Mat 3 Dies, then lightly inked the center with Salvaged Patina and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks. I then splattered some watered down Salvaged Patina onto the oval for some interest.

I die cut a banner from aqua paper using the Brilliant Banner 1 Die, then stamped the sentiment from Baking Spirits Bright in black ink and attached it to the inked oval using foam tape for dimension. Next, I arranged the cookies onto the oval, also attaching them with foam tape.

Next, I cut an A2 panel using the gingerbread paper from the All is Bright Paper Pad. I then cut a piece of gingham paper, from the Joyful Paper Pad, approximately 3 1/2 X 5 1/2" and added a white scalloped border on each side, die cut using the Slimline Basic Borders Dies. I layered all the pieces together, then attached the oval with foam tape before adhering to a white A2 card base to complete my card.

Holiday Hugs Card with Rachel

Hello crafty friends! It's Rachel here with a Christmas card featuring the adorable Holiday Hugs Stamp Set. This sweet little bear is one of my favorites from the latest release, and I love that he can be used for a variety of card making themes.

I first stamped my images (the bear is from the Holiday Hugs Stamp Set, and the large cup of hot chocolate is from the Baking Spirits Bright Stamp Set) onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and colored them with Copic Markers. I then used the coordinating Holiday Hugs and Baking Spirits Bright Die Sets to cut them out.

I wanted to keep my design simple, so I used a piece of winter scenery patterned-paper from the Very Merry Paper Pad for my background. I trimmed this piece to 4.25" x 5.5" and adhered it to my A2 top-folding card base. Next, I die cut a scalloped rectangular frame from white card stock using the Fancy Frames Rectangle Dies. I then adhered it around the outer edge of my card with liquid adhesive. To finish my card, I heat embossed my sentiment onto a piece of red card stock with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder, used the coordinating dies to cut the words out, and then adhered them to the front of my card with some more liquid adhesive.

Baking Spirits Bright Card with Isha

Hello everyone! Isha here today with a CAS card featuring the Baking Spirits Bright stamps and coordinating dies. The details of this artistic stamp immediately gave this idea and I am happy it came out exactly as I had imagined. 

To start I die-cut the images from masking paper using the coordinating dies. Adhere to a white card panel. Sponge distress inks (wilted violet, salty ocean, peacock feathers, mowed lawn, spiced marmalade and abandoned coral) to achieve rainbow effect. Flick gold and white splatters.

Remove the masks. Stamp the images using black ink. Die-cut the heart from vellum twice using the Stitched Heart 2 dies. Adhere the hearts together and adhere to the layer. Stamp the sentiment onto black cardstock using versamark ink. Sprinkle WOW! white embossing powder, heat set. Cut the stripes and adhere to the card using 3d foam tape.

Baking Spirits Bright Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm thrilled to be back on the blog with this new 3D card showcasing the adorable cookies from Baking Spirits Bright, and as you can see I used those cute images to create a magical gingerbread scene.

I started off by stamping the images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, as always I used the matching dies to cut them all, and used my alcohol markers to color everything.

I stamped and colored the gingerbread man, the house, the big and small candy canes, two snowmen, the snowflake, and a few trees from Baking Spirits Bright, as well as the gingerbread couple from Christmas Cookies. And I went for my favorite color palette this season, which is brown + red + pink + green + turquoise. After the coloring I added highlights and details on the images using a white gel pen.

Next I cut all the different pieces to build my 3D card. I picked a dark kraft cardstock for the base of the card to match the gingerbread theme, as well as several All Is Bright colorful pattern papers. I stamped my "Sugar & spice make Christmas so nice" greeting from Baking Spirits Bright on the panel that goes on the front of the card in gold and white, I assembled and glued all those elements, and once my card base was done, I attached the images on the inside, and on the outside as well using 3mm glue dots, liquid glue and 1mm foam squares.

And that's it! I love how this gingerbread scene turned out, so cute and cheerful! I hope you like it. Thanks so much for stopping by, and see you next week for more inspiration!

Baking Spirits Bright Tags with Bobbi

Hello friends! It’s Bobbi here with holiday tags for happy bakers and cookie lovers! I am using the new, Baking Spirits Bright stamps and dies. The first tag was made using the largest die of the Stitched Arch dies for the tag base. Both tags feature greenery from the Winter Greenery dies, too.

For the first tag, I ink-blended Ranger’s Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink around the edges of the largest arch of the Stitched Arch die set cut from white cardstock. Tip: I always cut two tags so that I have a nice finished backing for my tags to add a to/from or message on the back.

Next, I stamped all of the images from the Baking Spirits Bright stamps and dies on a separate piece of white cardstock. I used Brushed Corduroy ink for the stamping. I colored all of the images using Copic Sketch Markers in R89, R46, R29, R17, R14, R22, and R20. I also used E57, E55, E53, and E51 for the brown tones. I stamped a sentiment from the same set at the top of the tag and then attached the images below it, popping up the gingerbread man and hot cocoa with foam tabs for added dimension.

I added some greenery sprigs and berries to the tag using the Winter Greenery dies and white and green cardstock. I splattered the whole tag with a little "white snow" using white paint and a fan brush. I attached a piece of baker’s twine string in red to finish the tag.

For the second tag, I clipped two corners of a 4-3/4" X 2-3/4″ rectangular-shaped piece of white cardstock to create a large-sized tag. I blended Vintage Photo, Brushed Corduroy and Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink around the edges and splattered water over the ink and blotted it with a paper towel for the splotchy effect.

I made a grey metal cookie sheet from a 2-1/4″ X 3-1/2″ piece of dark gray cardstock, I simply scored the two short edges 1/4″ in on both ends of the rectangle. It looks just like a cookie sheet I have in my cabinet!  I added five decorated sugar cookies to the cookie sheet, adding a foam tab under the center snowflake cookie to make it stand out a bit more, as if it is resting on the other cookies. I sprinkled the entire tag using Dr. PH Marten's white ink and a fan-shaped paint brush. I think it looks like powdered sugar all over the baking area!

I added some greenery sprigs to the tag using the Winter Greenery dies cut from white and green cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Baking Spirits Bright stamp set. Baker’s twine in red finishes the tag.

Sneak Peek: Introducing Baking Spirits Bright & Dashing Dachshund

Hello and welcome to day 5 of our Holiday Sneak Peek Week!  Each morning this week I am showcasing projects using our newest fall & winter collections which will be available to purchase tomorrow morning! Hooray!

Card No. 1: Kicking things off, I have a card using our new Baking Spirits Bright Stamps which features 8 unique sugar cookies, 2 candy canes, a hot cocoa mug, a glass of milk, and a number of cute punny sentiments to match. I started my card by loosely coloring three frames using Daniel Smith watercolors on watercolor paper using Phthalo Turquoise, Quinacridone Rose, and Sap Green. When they were fully dry, I added a little powder before heat embossing my sentiment from the set, combined with the word "bake" which I die-cut using our Loopy Letters Dies. The rest of my card relies on the adorable images from the set which I arranged in each of the frames.

Card No. 2: For my next card showcasing the adorable new Baking Spirits Bright Stamps I paired the new gingerbread man cookie with the boy and girl gingerbread from our Christmas Cookies Stamps. I then used the house and tree cookies with the two candy canes to create a little scene on the right tucked behind a snowy powder sugar hillside cut using our Slimline Nature Border Dies, inking behind them with a little Tumbled Glass Distress ink so that my hill would stand out against my white cardstock background. I added the stitched edge to the top of my panel using our slimline Slimline Basic Border Dies. I then added a thin strip of candy cane print followed by the brown gingerbread print patterned paper to the top and bottom of my card from our All Is Bright Paper to tie my theme altogether.

Card No. 3: Next up is a bright and cheerful grid-style card featuring the Baking Spirits Bright Stamps. To form my grid, I ran our Window Trio Circle Dies through my die-cutting machine twice centering them on my 5.5" wide card panel. I then trimmed the top and bottom of my panel with a stitched edge using our Ribbon & Lace Border Dies. Trimming them close allowed me to have some leftover space to add a striped rainbow print to peek out from the top and bottom of that same All Is Bright Paper pack. I then used the coordinating tone-on-tone plaid prints from the set to pick up the individual colors from the stripes and to add more pops of color behind each of my circular openings. I finished my card by adding 5 of the adorable cookies and milk images to the framed openings and heat-embossed the "Sweet Christmas Wishes" greeting from the set to stack in the last opening.



Card No. 4: When I was trying to think of some new ways to use these Baking Spirits Bright stamps, I thought it would be fun to recreate the look of a cookie sheet. To build my cookie sheet I used silver metallic cardstock with the Hero Arts Rounded Rectangle Infinity Dies, nesting two of them to create the lip of my sheet and then just the larger die by itself for the bottom. I then cut the handles for my cookie sheet using the tab die from our Notebook Tabs Dies. I mounted them to a red and white gingham patterned paper from our Joyful Holiday Paper pack to form my "tablecloth" and then added a heat-embossed sentiment from the set onto our new Brilliant Banner 2 Dies cut from red cardstock.

Card No. 5: Continuing with the theme of recreating the look of a table, this time I used Hero Arts Nesting Circle Infinity Dies to create the look of red holiday plates on a wooden table. To form my red plates, I started by cutting 1-3/4" circles from red cardstock and used the 1-1/4" circle die with an embossing mat to emboss the center of my saucer. I then took that same 1-1/4" circle to cut out a window from masking material and positioned the mask over where I had just embossed it to make it more exaggerated by inking up the center with a darker red ink color.

I embossed my wood texture background using our Woograin Embossing Folder with kraft cardstock. To give it a darker aged look I colored over the surface with a Vintage Photo Distress Crayon and then rubbed it in using a paper towel. I followed up by adding a little distress ink in the same color rubbed along the edges for extra definition. Lastly, I stamped the punny greeting from the set onto a small pennant strip from our Notebook Photo Corner Dies using Versafine Onyx Black Ink.



Card No. 6: Next up I have a sweet & simple card using the mitten, snowman, and snowflake cookies from our Baking Spirits Bright stamps which I lined up all in a row and colored in a matching blue and rosy red color palette. I inked up behind them with a light dusting of Worn Lipstick ink and then stamped my sentiment all in a row below them. Before I adhered them though, I ran my cardstock panel through my die-cutting machine to cut a lacy scalloped edge along the bottom using the die from our Slimline Pennant Dies. I couldn't resist the opportunity to then use the small peppermint candies from this set to add a dot to the center of each scallop. Lastly, I adhered a blue striped patterned paper to the bottom of my card from the Sleek Stripes Paper pack, inking up the top edge that goes under my scallop to make it a bit darker and blend better with the other stamped elements I had already colored with my Copics.

Card No. 7: For my last Baking Spirits Bright project of the day, I created a set of holiday gift tags perfect for tying onto plates of homemade cookies during the Christmas season. I used our Mini Mat & Tag 1 Dies to form the base of my tag, cutting them out from patterned paper from our All Is Bright Paper pack. I finished them off with a hot pink heart reinforcer from our Mini Mat & Tag 2 Dies and a simple aqua twine tie.
