Hello friends, Tammy here! I'm so excited to be back on the Sunny Studio blog today, sharing a card featuring the adorable set, Monkey Business.
To create my card, I started by
stamping the images from Monkey Business, coloring them with Copic markers, and die-cutting them with the Monkey Business Dies.
Next, I cut a piece of A2-sized Bristol smooth cardstock and ink-blended the top 3/4 of the card with Saltwater Taffy and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide inks. I then taped off a small area on the bottom of the panel and blended Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide inks to create a sandy border. I splattered some Vintage Photo ink (thinned with a bit of water) onto the sandy border to create a bit of texture.
Next, I die-cut the vines and
leaves from Bristol cardstock using the Jungle Vines Dies. I colored the leaves and vines
with Copic markers and arranged them onto the inked panel, trimming off the
excess. I then stamped the sentiment using black ink. Next, I created a
simple frame by cutting a piece of white cardstock to 4 1/4 X 5
1/2". Using the second largest die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies, I centered it on my white cardstock panel and ran it through my die-cutting machine to create a frame. I
attached the frame to my card with foam tape for dimension, then arranged the monkeys and stamped images onto it. Once I was happy with the layout, I
attached the images with both a glue runner and foam tape.
Lastly, I attached my card panel
to a white A2 card base to finish up my card! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a wonderful weekend!
