Rounded Rectangle Mat Die Focused Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm so happy to be back on the blog with this bright and cheerful shaker card featuring some super cute chicks all gathered to celebrate Easter. Love those little guys and their chubby faces so much!

I started off by creating the whole shaker card base, and first cut a 4,5 x 3,5 inches Rounded Rectangle Mat panel out of a fun multicolored polka dot Summer Splash pattern paper, I cut two windows out of this panel using the third smallest Rounded Rectangle Window die, attached my panel to a piece of acetate and then trimmed the excess of acetate around my Rounded Rectangle Mat multicolored polka dot panel.

At the back of my multicolored polka dot panel, I added 2mm foam strips all around the windows and on the rest of the panel as well. I poured multicolored sequins into each window, removed the backing papers off the foam strips, and attached a Flirty Flowers green panel to the foam strips to totally close my shaker panel totally.

I attached my shaker panel to a 5,25 x 4 inches Gingham Pastels pink panel using liquid glue, next to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Polka Dot Parade blue panel using liquid glue again, and then to a white card base to finish my shaker card base.

Next I stamped my images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them all using the coordinating dies and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and Graph'it brush markers. As always, here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: Chickie Baby (for chicks, basket, flowers, eggshells), Chubby Bunny (for the banner, flowers), and Spring Showers (umbrellas).

I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and then attached them to my card using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. And to finish it, I added glossy accents to the multicolored Chubby Bunny banner to make it super shiny.

Rounded Rectangle Window Die Focused Card & Tag with Amanda

Welcome back to the Sunny Studio Stamps Blog! Amanda here, and I’m glad you’re here with me today! I’m sharing this adorable duo I created using the Rounded Rectangle Window Dies! Keep reading to see how I created this card and coordinating tag!

First, we’ll start with the card! I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 4”x5.25” and then taped the 4th largest rectangle in the center of the panel. I ran it through my die cutting machine.  

On a separate white cardstock panel, I stamped the background image from the Majestic Meadow Stamp. Then, I trimmed the stamped panel to fit in the opening of the window, including an extra 1/4” border. I was careful to leave the left side of the stamped image for my tag! Then, I stamped my sentiment.

I colored the background with Copic markers. Here are the colors I used:
Flowers: RV55, RV66, RV69
Grass: YG0000, YG00, YG01
Trees & Bushes: E43, E44, E47, E49, YG06, G07, G14

I glued this panel to an A2 card base in the center. On my window panel, I used double sided tape to attach a piece of acetate trimmed to 1/4” larger than the window. Then, I put foam tape strips all around the acetate to create a shaker pocket. I added extra foam tape strips on the border of the panel so it was the same depth all the way around.  

I placed a mixture of sequins in the center of my card base. Then, I carefully lined up my window panel and attached it to the card base, ensuring that the sequins stayed inside the shaker pocket.

Next, I stamped 2 foxes and and 2 birds from the Foxy Friends Stamps. I colored these with Copic markers, too.

I used these markers:
Birds: RV10,  RV52, RV55, Rv66, RV69, YR21, YR24
Foxes: YR20, YR21, YR24, YR27, E50, E53, R00, R20, R32, W8

Then, I cut the images out using the coordinating dies. I put 3D foam squares behind each of the images. I adhered the 2 birds and 1 fox to the card. I glued a few sequins from the my sequin mix to the front of the card as well.

For the tag, I cut the 4th largest Rounded Rectangle Mat Dies. I stamped the Background Basics 2 stamp with Catherine Pooler’s Pucker Up Ink onto this rectangle. I also die cut the 5th largest Rounded Rectangle Mat Dies. Then, I taped the 3rd smallest Rounded Rectangle Window Dies to the center of rectangle and put it through the die cutting machine to create a frame for my shaker.

On the leftover piece from the Majestic Meadow Stamp, I taped the same 3rd smallest Rounded Rectangle Window Die and ran it through my die cutting machine to get my background piece. I colored this background with the same Copic markers.

I punched a hole and added an eyelet with my Crop-a-dile Big Bite to my largest rectangle. To create the shaker, I folowed the same steps as I did for the card. I added some baker’s twine to finish the tag off!

Rounded Rectangle Window Die Focused Card with Leanne

Hello everyone! Leanne here! Today I'm sharing a birthday themed shaker card. The Rounded Rectangle Window dies make it super easy to create a frame with faux stitching which can be used for shaker cards. 

I used the second largest Rounded Rectangle Window die in the set to create a frame for my shaker window. I constructed the shaker element in the traditional way by adding a panel of clear acetate behind the window. Then I added some skinny strips of foam tape behind all sides of the frame to create the shaker well.

Onto a white A2 size card base, I stamped the words "happy birthday" at an angle towards the left side. I used pastel clay sprinkles as the shaker bits and carefully placed them onto the center of the card. I then adhered the frame with acetate overtop. 

Next was the fun part of adding all the decorations to the outside of the shaker. I used cupcakes from the Scrumptious Cupcakes stamp set. I die cut some little flowers and leaves to embellish even further. These dies can be found in the Basic Mini Shapes 2 and Basic Mini Shapes 4 sets. 

Here are the Pink Fresh Studio ink colors I used to stamp the cupcakes and candle: Ocean Breeze, Aquamarine, Mermaid Cove, Soft Lilac, Candy Violet, Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, Lemon Whip, Sunshine.

Party Pets Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today with a fun shaker birthday card to share with you showcasing the adorable Party Pets set. I absolutely adore this set and have gotten so much mileage out of it. I make birthday cards more than any other cards. This set is jam packed with so many super cute cat and dog images that are perfect for birthday cards. It also includes two different balloon images and a beautiful Happy Birthday sentiment ... a must for making birthday cards.

I stamped the images from the Party Pets stamps set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Party Pets Dies to die cut them out. I colored them with Copic markers and highlighted them with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Cats 1 & 3: Y21 YR21/24, R30
Cat 2: W1/3/5, R30
Red: R22/24/27/29/39

I used the Slimline Nature Borders Dies to die cut a piece of clear acetate to make my own cloud stencil. I ink blended a cloudy background with this stencil and some Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock.

For the shaker, I used the second largest die from the Rounded Rectangle Window Dies to die cut a window out of white cardstock. I adhered a piece of clear acetate to the backside to create the shaker window. I added a layer of foam tape onto the backside to create the shaker well. I added some sparkling clear confetti sequins for my shaker bits before closing off the shaker well with the inked cloudy panel. 

For the sentiment, I stamped one of the sentiments from the Party Pets stamps set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of red cardstock and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder. I used the coordinating Party Pets Dies to die cut it out. I adhered the sentiment and colored images to the front of the shaker. I used a Copic Multiliner pen to draw in the balloon strings. Finally, I adhered the shaker to a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").

Window Trio Heart Die Focused Card with Nicky

Welcome to the Sunny Studio Stamps blog friends! This is Nicky with you today and I have fun mini slimline card to share with you that features the Window Trio Hearts Landscape Die in combination with other Sunny products. Read on for all the details.

I created two mini slimline panels of white cardstock with dimensions of 6 1/4 x 3 1/2 inches. With one of the panels I ink blended with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink, fading away to the white at the bottom. I then die cut the panel using the Window Trio Hearts landscape Die.  I laid the die cut panel on top of the second mini slimline panel and glued the hearts in place. I then added foam tape to the rest of the die cut panel and stuck it down carefully so that I was aligning the hearts properly.

I put a fairly generous amount of glue into each indented heart shape and I sprinkled in a pastel mix of sequins and tapped them down just a little and left them to dry.

I stamped and Copic coloured the images from Foxy Friends. Here are the combinations used:

Foxes - E99, E15, E13, E11, C3, C1, C0
Blushes - R22, R21, R20, R00
Birds - BG34, BG11, C3, C1

The images were die cut using the coordinating dies and applied to the scene with dimensional foam tape and I also added a little highlighting with a white gel pen.

I arranged the words to form the sentiment on my stamping block so that they mirrored the curl of the Brilliant Banner 3 Die which I'd used to die cut white cardstock. I stamped the sentiment with black ink and then used a little peachy pink ink to blend the parts of the banner and then glued them together. The banner was backed with foam tape and applied above the trio of hearts.

Lastly, I used Copic W3 and W1 to add shade under the foxes and birds and I dotted in a little interest within the shaded area with a metallic gel pen.

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today with a fun shaker birthday card to share with you showcasing the Rounded Rectangle Window Dies, Rounded Rectangle Mat Dies, Background Basics 2 Stamps, Cat Antics and Party Pets sets.

Do you like making shaker cards? I love adding a little fun factor to my cards and shakers are quick ways to add that fun. Today, I'm going to show you how I made my shaker card and shaker bits. So let's get started.

I stamped the cats and balls of yarn from the Cat Antics stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Cat Antics Dies to diecut them out. I colored them with Copic markers and highlighted them with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Cats: Y21 YR21/24, W3, R20
Pink: RV00/10/21/23/25
Orange: Y38 YR04/07
Yellow: Y06/08
Green: YG01/03/25
Teal: BG10/11/15
Blue: B000/00/02
Purple: V000/01/04

I used Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink to stamp the Background Basics 2 Stamps onto a piece of white cardstock. Once the panel was dried, I used the largest die from the Rounded Rectangle Mat Die to trim the panel. I used the same die to also diecut a piece of clear acetate.

Next, I used low tack tape to secure the same largest Rounded Rectangle Mat Die to the third largest Rounded Rectangle Window Die. I used this die combo to diecut a frame out of white cardstock. The white frame was then adhered to the clear acetate layer to create the shaker window. I added a layer of foam tape onto the backside to create the shaker well. I added the balls of yarn that I colored up as well as some sparkling clear sequins for my shaker bits before closing off the shaker well with the inked panel. 

For the sentiment, I stamped one of the sentiments from the Party Pets stamp set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder. I used the coordinating Party Pets Dies to diecut it out. I adhered the sentiment and colored images to the front of the shaker.

Finally, the shaker was adhered to a piece of patterned paper from the Classic Gingham Paper Pad before it was adhered to a white A2 cardbase (4.25" x 5.5").
