Designer's Choice: Foxy Friends Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm thrilled to be back with this fun and lovely slimline scene featuring a character you might have recognized: Little Red Riding Hood. I created her using an image from Puddle Jumpers, and gave her some sweet and gentle wolf friends using images from Foxy Friends. Super fun!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Foxy Friends Card by Marine Simon (featuring Puddle Jumpers, Seasonal Trees, Slimline Scalloped Frame Dies)

I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. For Little Red Riding Hood, I simply masked the duck details off the hood, applied the ink to the stamp, removed the washi tape and then stamped the image. I did this two or three times to get a really nice impression, cut all the images using the matching dies, and colored everything using my alcohol markers. I went for different shades of green for the trees, neutral warm grays for the wolves, turquoise the birds and of course red for Little Red Riding Hood, as well as the birdhouses for more red accents on the card.

Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Foxy Friends - wolves, birds • Puddle Jumpers - little red riding hood • Seasonal Trees - trees, birdhouses, log • Bunnyville - grass, butterflies.

Next I cut a slimline panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock using a die from the Slimline Scalloped Frame die set, I divided it in half using washi tape, and colored both parts using oxide inks. I started with the lower section and blended mowed lawn and rustic wilderness oxide inks. I mixed some rustic wilderness oxide ink with water and used a slim brush to add splatters to the grass border. Next I moved on to the upper part, first covered the entire section with tumbled glass oxide ink, and then used a tree stencil from my stash along with broken china oxide ink to add a forest background to my scene. I splattered water on the upper section and dried the panel with a paper towel, mixed some broken china with water and added more splatters, and then mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and added white splatters all over my panel.

I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and once my panel was dry, I attached them all using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. I cut a slightly larger slimline panel out of white cardstock and attached my Little Red Riding Hood scene on top using liquid glue. I cut a scalloped panel out of yellow cardstock using another Slimline Scalloped Frame die, stuck it to an 8,5 x 3,5 inches card base using 1mm foam tape, and then attached my little scene using foam tape again because I like my cards to have dimension.

Finally I used a Brilliant Banner 1 die to cut a banner out of brown cardstock, white heat embossed "Life with you is an adventure" from Critter Campout on that banner, and attached it right above Little Red Riding Hood using foam squares again.

And that's it! I've had this idea in mind for quite a while so I was very happy to finally create it and I'm glad of how it turned out. Love those little wolves so much! I hope you do too. Thanks so much for stopping by, and see you next time!

Foxy Friends Card with Marine

Hi crafty friends, Marine here, I'm happy to be back with this super sweet slimline card showcasing the cutest foxes ever! Those little guys are from Foxy Friends, I had a blast coloring them, and I added a bunch of other images from different sets to create a cute scene.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Foxy Friends Card by Marine Simon (featuring Seasonal Trees, Tulip Path Background, Rounded Rectangle Mat Dies, Rounded Rectangle Dies)

As very often, I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Foxy Friends - foxes, birds, tulips • Seasonal Trees - trees, birdhouses • Bunnyville - grass • Spring Showers - kites • Tulip Path Background - clouds, butterflies.

For the background, I could have created a simple stenciled slimline background, but I decided to make it more interesting using rounded panels. I cut four Rounded Rectangle Window panels out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, and colored them using stencils and oxide inks. I placed the four panels next to each other on my grip mat, and created the grass first using a slimline grassy stencil from my stash along with mowed lawn and rustic wilderness oxide inks. And for some texture, I mixed rustic wilderness oxide ink with water and added splatters on the grass borders using a slim brush.

Next I created the sky using a slimline cloudy stencil from my stash along with salvaged patina and peacock feathers oxide inks. I mixed peacock feathers oxide ink with water and added splatters on the clouds. And then, I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water, and added white splatters all over the four panels.

Once my four Rounded Rectangle Window panels were dry, I attached each panel to a white Rounded Rectangle Mat panel using liquid glue, and then I stuck my four panels on a slimline kraft panel. Next I attached all the images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and then added highlights and details using a white gel pen. I white heat embossed "You're foxtastic" from Foxy Friends on aqua cardstock, trimmed it into a banner, attached it to my panel using foam squares, and finally applied white blizzard nuvo drops to the butterflies wings to make them super shiny.

And that's it! I hope you like this super adorable little scene. Thanks so much for stopping by, and see you next time!

Roly Poly Penguins Card with Alma

Hello everyone, Alma here today. I'd like to show you a card featuring the Roly Poly Penguins Stamps.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Roly Poly Penguins Winter Themed Holiday Card by Alma (featuring Seasonal Trees, Slimline Dies, Stitched Oval Dies, Frilly Frame Dies)

I chose my favorite penguin from the set, the one with the adorable earmuffs and cozy scarf. I colored the image with Copics and cut it out using the Roly Poly Penguins Dies

Then, I colored and cut out the trees from the Seasonal Trees Stamps Set. Since I love romantic winter scenes, I really wanted to use the mirror stamping technique, which is super easy with a stamping tool!

I colored the mirrored image and layered it with a piece of glossy vellum to give it a frosty look. Next, I used the Slimline Nature Border Dies and the Stitched Oval Dies to create a pond and assembled everything. I added white highlights with a gel pen. I stamped the sentiment "winter" from the Cozy Christmas Stamps and the "spirits" from the Baking Spirits Bright Stamps.

Finally, I used the Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace dies to create a frame and cut out a rectangle. The white frame, along with the pink and blue cardstock, completed the card!

Buffalo Plaid Die Focused Card with Tina

Hello crafters, it’s Tina and today I am making a Christmas card with a special background featuring the Buffalo Plaid Diagonal Die. This die makes it very easy to create that extra interest on your cards. And I love that you have options, you can create an embossed look or step it up a notch by using the matching Diagonal and Straight Stripes stencils to add color as I did today. Either way, you will get an awesome result!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Buffalo Plaid Die Focused WInter Holiday Card by Tina Henkens (featuring Diagonal & Straight Stripe Stencils, Reindeer Games, Frilly Frame Dies, Seasonal Trees)

Since I am so ready for the holiday season, I browsed though my stash and found one of my all time favorite stamp sets Reindeer Games. Just looking at that cute Santa with his fluffy friends makes me happy! It was the perfect match for my plaid background.

Starting off with a white card base, I glued on a slightly smaller mat of teal card stock for some contrast. Next, I die cut two panels from white paper with the outer die from the Frilly Frames Chevron set. One panel was used to create a snowbank while I embossed the other one with the Buffalo Plaid Diagonal Die. The result is beautiful as is, but I decided to go for a bit more contrast and added a teal ink by using the matching stencil (Diagonal and Straight Stripes stencils). After adding this piece to my card base, I mounted the snowbank with foam tape.

For my scene, I selected the Santa and two of his adorable reindeer (Reindeer Games), a few Christmas trees (Seasonal Trees) and some presents (Holiday Express). I used my Copic Markers for all the coloring, and I added some snowy details with a white gel pen.

The sentiment was selected from the fun Deck The Halls set and stamped directly onto the plaid panel with a red ink from my stash. Then it was time to build the scene, starting with the trees in the background, and mounting the other images with foam tape. I used a grey Copic marker to add some shadows in the snow. Three white snowflake die cuts were placed around the sentiment and I embellished them all with a few Pure White Jewels.

Thank you for joining me and I am looking forward to seeing your creations with these fun dies! Happy crafting!
