Cherry Blossoms & Dotted Diamond Cards with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi here today, popping in to share some floral cards for Spring using our Cherry Blossoms Stamps and the two variations of our Dotted Diamond Dies.

For my first card of the day I have a soft and pretty sympathy card using the Cherry Blossoms Stamps with the tree branch from our Out on a Limb Dies. For my background, I inked up my cardstock panel with Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, and a light hand of Prize Ribbon Distress inks. I then die-cut / embossed the background with our Dotted Diamond Portrait Die. I inked up another small piece of cardstock with a similar blend of inks, which I die-cut using our Rounded Rectangle Window Dies. I shorted the rectangle by running it through my die-cutting machine again to better fit my sentiment from our Inside Greetings Sympathy Stamps. Lastly, I added a sprinkling of Majestic Clear Confetti adhered with Ranger's Multi Medium Matte.

Next up is a more vibrant take on the Cherry Blossoms Stamps. I paired them with a dramatic navy blue cardstock, which I had die-cut using our Dotted Diamond Landscape Die. For my focal point birthday greeting, I heat embossed the words "Happy Birthday" using our Big Bold Greetings Stamps and die-cut a navy frame around it using our Limitless Labels 1 Die, which I popped up with black foam tape to help it stand out. As a finishing touch, I added a few scattered Midnight Blue Crystals for some subtle sparkle. I love the tone-on-tone look with the different textures!

I am frequently asked which ink colors I used for my layered images. While I think there are so many great options out there, these are the colors I used today for my stamped images from light to dark:

Limitless Labels Die Focused Card with Isha

Hello everyone! Isha back here with a rainbow theme card featuring the Limitless Labels 1 dies. This card was fun to create and I am happy with the result :)

I didn't snip the dies and used them to cut all the frames. Once the frames were die-cut, I sponged distress inks (wilted violet, picked raspberry, tumbled glass, salvaged patina, mustard seed, ripe persimmon) in rainbow order. Splatter some white paint. 

Next, I stamped the images from the Cherry Blossoms stamp set using watermark ink onto vellum, sprinkle white opaque embossing powder by WOW! and heat set. Die-cut the images using the coordinating dies. Die-cut the leaves using the Spring Greenery dies from white cardstock. Adhere the images to the layered labels. Adhere the labels to a white card using 3d foam.

Stamp the sentiment from the Punny Fruit Greetings onto black card, sprinkle white embossing powder and heat set. Cut a stripe of it and adhere to the card.

Designer's Choice: Cherry Blossoms Card with Isha

Hello everyone, Isha here today with a floral watercolor card as my designer's choice feature. I decided to use a mix of new and old products.

To start, I die-cut the scalloped squares using the Scalloped Square 1 Large dies. I then die-cut the inside of the smaller square using the Stitched Square dies. I then die-cut the Frilly Frames Quatrefoil and adhered it behind the scallop frame.

Sponge salty ocean ink to the center of the larger scallop square. Adhere the smaller lattice pattern to it using foam tape. Adhere this to a cream card base.

Stamp the florals from the Cherry Blossoms stamp using versamark ink, sprinkle white embossing powder and heat set. Die-cut the florals and leaves using the coordinating dies. Die-cut some strawberries from the Strawberry Patch dies. Add color using watercolors and let dry. Assemble the cluster and adhere to the card. 

Next, stamp the butterfly from the Watering Can stamp set, die-cut using the dies. Add some glitter to it. Stamp the sentiment from the Punny Fruit Greetings. Adhere the sentiment and the butterfly to the card.

Hayley Alphabet Die Focused Cards with Tina and Vanessa

Hello crafty friends, Tina here with a card featuring a custom sentiment made with the versatile Hayley Alphabet Uppercase and Hayley Alphabet Lowercase dies. I love the scripty font of these dies and how easy they are to connect in creating words. The possibilities are endless with these amazing products.

As I have mentioned before here on the blog, I am always in need of fun birthday cards! So, what better word to spell than ‘Congrats’. I die cut all the letters from pink card stock and adhered them together with some drops of liquid glue. The letters all overlap to create that fluid scripty font, having the word already created will give me the opportunity to play around with the correct placement in a later phase.

The Cherry Blossoms stamps were the perfect match for the cute bear from Panda Party. First, I stamped the layering flowers in three shades of pink inks from my stash. For the leaves, I kept with the cool tones and went with a vibrant blue color. I used the same color for the Winter Wreath. The panda was stamped, die cut and colored with Copic markers. Of course, he needed a party hat too!

With so much going on in this design, I created a simple striped background panel with a stencil from my stash. I placed all my components on the background and decided I needed another small sentiment (‘It’s your birthday’ from Little Birdie). I didn’t have a card base in the same blue color as my leaves and wreath, so I just inked up the sides of a white one for a perfect match.

Next, I glued the background panel to that base and popped up the wreath, flowers, leaves and bear with foam tape. Lastly, I added the ‘Congrats’ word and sentiment banner. A few blue jewels from the Bright mix were scattered around the wreath.

Hello to you! Vanessa here with a colorful birthday card featuring the Hayley Alphabet Dies.

I was inspired by my former team mate Kavya and her colorful creations! First, I trimmed a panel of white cardstock slightly smaller than my slimline card base and inked the background with Broken Glass and Rusty Hinge Distress Oxide Inks. 

Now I stamped all my images from Panda Party, Fast Food Fun, Looking Sharp and Lovable Llama. I colored the pieces with Copics, die-cut them with the matching dies and adhered the elements to the card.

Then I die-cut the letters, spelled "Spec-taco-lar" and adhered them. Finally, I stamped and heat-embossed the rest of the sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock and adhered it before adding highlights with a white gel pen.
