Cat Antics Card with Tina M

Hi there! Tina M here! Today I’m sharing a fun, whimsical card featuring the Cat Antics Stamps! I had so much fun creating this scene! It took a lot of stamping, masking and fussy cutting!

I started off by trimming a piece of purple patterned paper, from the Polka-dot Parade Paper pack to 4,25 x 5,5 inches and adhered it to my A2 size card base. I then trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 3,75 x 5 inches and stamped the wooden floor from the Sprawling Surfaces Stamps set using Memento Tuxedo black ink at the bottom of the panel and colored it with my Copic Markers, see list below. 

For “wallpaper” I ink blended purple and turquoise inks and sprayed water droplets to it for a whimsical look! I covered the floor part with post-it notes while doing that. I then trimmed a slightly larger black panel to go behind my ink blended /floor panel and adhered them to the card base, using double sided tape.

Next, on to the stamping and masking of the kittens and the furniture! The kittens, box, bowl and mouse are from the Cat Antics Stamps set and the furniture is from the Cozy Christmas Stamps set. As always, I stamped the images using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol ink friendly card stock. For the masking I used Spellbinders Masking Sheets. I then colored the images with Copic markers, see list below:

As I masked several images into one, I then fussy cut them out leaving a narrow white border as if I had used coordinating dies. There are coordinating dies available to both the Cat Antics and the Cozy Christmas sets if you prefer to stamp each image separately and then arrange the scene!

Next, I stamped the sentiment, the words “sending you” are from the Quill Cuties Stamps set and the words “pawsitive vibes” are from the Cat Antics Stamps set. I added foam dots to the fussy cut pieces and arranged my scene and adhered them to the card! I used a white gel pen for the polka dots on the purple box!

Build-A-Bowl & Strawberry Patch Card with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing a card featuring Build-A-Bowl and Strawberry Patch dies.  

For this card, I started by die-cutting the card base from dark blue cardstock. I also cut a small strip from light brown cardstock to create the ground for my little scene. I masked off the edges of the brown strip and stamped the floor, using Sprawling Surfaces stamp set and adhered it onto the blue background.

Next, I die-cut the bowl and the word “hello”, using Sydney Alphabet,  from matte gold cardstock. From white cardstock, I die-cut the fruit, leaves, and blossoms from the Strawberry Patch die set and I blended ink onto it.

To make the card even more fun, I stamped two little monkeys from the Monkey Business stamp set and colored them with my Ohuhu markers. I attached one monkey onto the bowl as if it was hanging from it, while the second monkey was tucked between the strawberries holding a strawberry in its hand.

After adhering all the elements onto the card, I finished everything off by adding some dots alongside the letters. I absolutely love how vibrant and playful the entire scene looks against the dark blue background!

Afternoon Tea Card with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing a cozy card featuring the Aftenoon Tea stamp set.  

This time I created a fun little scene card using the masking technique, although you could absolutely recreate this scene with the coordinating dies as well. Before I started stamping, I placed all the stamps onto the card panel first to get an idea of where I wanted everything to go.

When stamping, I carefully paid attention to the stamping order, because honestly, that still goes wrong for me sometimes. For this card I used the Afternoon Tea and the Foxy Friends stamp sets.

Once the images were finished, I started working on the background. First, I stamped the floor using the Sprawling Surfaces stamp and brown ink. Originally, I made the rest of the background completely grey, but I felt it looked a little too plain. So I decided to stamp the Background Basic 2 stamp over it using the same grey ink. I absolutely love how subtle, yet playful, the background turned out.

After finishing the background, I removed all the masking paper and colored the images with my Ohuhu markers. I also added some extra shading on the floor using a brown marker to create more depth and dimension.

To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Afternoon Tea stamp set and added a few highlights with a white gel pen. Finally, I mounted the colored card onto blue cardstock and adhered everything to a white card base.

Inside Greetings Friends Card with Tina H

Hello crafters, it’s Tina and today we are creating a card all about friendship. I love sending my cards out to other crafters and this project is perfect for that. I will be using a sentiment from the Inside Greetings Friends stamp. These sentiments also work great on the outside of a card as show in this design!

After creating a white card base, I cut a white panel with the rectangle die from Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace. This piece was dry embossed with the Woodgrain folder before adhering it to the card base.

My background is an arch (Stitched Arch Dies) cut from a pink heart paper (Flirty Flowers) and also from white card stock. This latter arch will become the floor after I stamped a wooden texture (Sprawling Surfaces) with a brown ink from my stash. I did go in and added more color with my Copics. Next, I layered both arch pieces and glued them to the white wooden panel.

By now you will know that I love cute critters, so I selected two kittens and a box  from Cat Antics. As usual, I used my Copics for the coloring. I stamped the XOXO message (Vintage Valentine) with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto the little sign one of the cats is holding.

Finally, I used the same ink to add the sentiment (Inside Greetings Friends) to a white banner. All that was left was to mount the images and sentiment to my arch background. A few Champagne Clear Jewels gave this project that extra sparkle!

Zig Zag Circles Die Focused Card with Tina M

Hi there! Tina M here! Today I’m sharing a card featuring the Zig Zag Circle Dies!

I started by die cutting the next largest of the Zig Zag Circles Dies from alcohol ink friendly card stock and stamped the tile floor from the Sprawling Surfaces Stamp set. Next, I stamped the cute hedgehog in the bathtub, a few rubber ducks, the soap bar, the shampoo bottle, a heart and some bubbles from the Quill Cuties Stamp set on alcohol ink friendly card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored them with my Copic Markers, see list below. I then die cut the images using the coordinating Quill Cuties Dies.

Next, I ink blended the “wall” part of the Zig Zag Circle using turquoise ink and then stamped the sentiment, also from the Quill Cuties Stamps. I added foam dots to the back of my die cut pieces and adhered them to the Zig Zag Circle.

I trimmed a piece of turquoise Polka-dot Parade paper to 4,25 x 5,5 inches to cover my A2 size card base. Next, I trimmed a piece of white card stock 3,5 x 5,5 inches and a piece of red card stock 3,25 x 5,5 adhering them together on the polka dot card base. I added foam dots to the back of the Zig Zag Circle and adhered it to the center of the red panel.

Woolly Friends Card with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing this Easter card featuring the new Woolly Friends stamp set.  

For this card, I started by creating a soft background on watercolor paper, painting a few gentle patches with watercolor. While that was drying, I die-cut the Wicker Basket dies twice, once from light brown cardstock and once from dark brown, to layer behind the light one for added depth. I also die-cut a Mini Grass Border to place between the path and the fence in the background, as well as some small tufts of grass from the Wicker Basket dies, which I blended with green ink.

Next came the stamping. I created the background by stamping the fence from the Woolly Friends stamp set and the stone floor from the Sprawling Surfaces stamp set, then colored them and adhered them to the (now) dry watercolor background.

Now it was time to fill the basket. I chose two adorable sheep from the Woolly Friends set, adding bows around their ears and necks, and give one a little easter egg basket to make them even cuter.  Then I filled the basket further with flowers from the Spring Garland stamp set, as well as Easter eggs from the Bunnyville and Woolly Friends stamp sets to complete the easter scene.

Finally, I adhered everything to the card base and stamped the large Easter sentiment also from the Bunnyville stamp set in green onto the background for the finishing touch.
