Preppy Prints Paper Focused Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Hanh here today, and I have a postcard-style birthday card to share featuring the sweet bear from the Holiday Hugs set and a fun patterned paper from the Preppy Prints 6 x 6 Paper. So let’s get started.

I stamped the adorable bear and present images from the Holiday Hugs Stamps, the party hat and present from the Foxy Friends Stamps, and the cupcake from the Panda Party Stamps set onto Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Holiday Hugs Dies and the postage stamp die from the Gift Card Envelope Dies to die-cut them out. I also used the Gift Card Envelope Dies set to die-cut 3 postage stamps to create frames out of red cardstock. I colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

For the layout, I took 2 pieces of white cardstock (5.25” x 4"). I lightly ink-blended the edges of one with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. I trimmed a sliver off the edges to remove the harsh inked edges and adhered it to the top of the second piece of white cardstock to create a slim white border. I adhered the panel to a piece of patterned paper from the Preppy Prints 6 x 6 Paper (5.5” x 4.25”) to add a fun pop of colors to the edge. 

For the sentiment, I stamped the sentiments from the Inside Greetings - Birthday Stamps directly onto the panel with red and black ink. I drew a couple of lines to resemble a postcard with a black pen. I adhered the stamps to the upper right corner of the postcard. Finally, I adhered the panel to a white A2 cardbase (5.5” x 4.25”).

Penguin Pair Card with Marieke

Hello all, Marieke here. I'm back again with my weekly post for Sunny Studio Stamps. Today I hope to inspire you with a card that I made using the Penguin Pair set.

For today's card I cut a top fold white base card. Cut a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch red rectangle and used an embossing folder to create the background. Adhered the red panel to the base card and cut a white rectangle that went on top of that.

Using the Gift Card Envelope Dies to cut a pink envelope. Cut a white panel to fit inside the envelope and stamped the sentiment out of the My Hearts stamp on to it using a red ink. Chopped the corners of the "letter" and place it inside the envelope onto the card.

Stamped all the images using Penguin Pair and Passionate Penguins. Die cut the images using the matching Penguin Pair dies and Passionate Penguins dies. Adapted the images so they would fit in the envelope. And added some red glitter on to all the hearts to finish it off.

Vintage Valentine Card with Marieke

Hello all, Marieke here. I'm very excited to share today's post because as of this month I will be back joining the Sunny Studio Stamps Design Team! So from now on every week I will share a new project using their fabulous products! 

For my first card I created a Valentine's card using Vintage Valentine Stamps. I cut 1/4 inch strips of white, pink and Kraft cardstock and adhered them onto a white topfold base card. Cut a smaller Kraft rectangle and added some black paint splatters and some brown spots as if coffee was spilled on to it.

Used Copic Colors:
Pink - R85, R83, R81, R21, R00
White - C5, C3, C1, C00, 0
Paper - E53, E51, E50, 0

Stamped one of the My Heart Stamps in a pink ink and die cut it using the matching My Heart Dies. Die cut the envelopes and the letter of the Vintage Valentine Dies and inked them up using Vintage Photo. Stamped a sentiment on the letter and die cut the hearts using the Basic Mini Shape Dies 2. Added a small inside on the left envelope using Subtle Grey Tones Paper.

Die cut the Post Stamp using the dies out of Gift Card Envelope Dies. Stamped the sentiments on top and behind the post stamp. Stamped the typewriter out of the Vintage Valentine Stamps and colored it up using my Copic markers. Stamped the sentiment onto it and die cut it using the matching Vintage Valentine Dies. Finished the card by adding some clear sequins.

Holiday Hugs Valentine's Day Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! Happy New Year! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today, and I am thrilled to share a sweet postcard-style Valentine's Day card featuring the adorable bear from the Holiday Hugs set.

I am currently obsessed with postage and postcard-style cards. I was so excited to pair this cute bear with some stamp die cuts from the Gift Card Envelope Dies and stenciling with the Diagonal & Straight Stripes Stencils to create a postcard-like design. So let's get started.

I stamped the bear and heart images from the Holiday Hugs Stamp onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Holiday Hugs Dies to die cut them out. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

Bear: W00/0/1, W1/5/7, R000/20
Scarf: R14//24/29, RV10/21, C0/1
Heart: R14/24/29

For the background, I used the Diagonal & Straight Stripes Stencils and some Candied Apple Distress ink to create a striped border on a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. I took another piece of white cardstock and lightly ink-blended some Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide ink onto the edges. I trimmed a bit off the edges of the pink panel and adhered the two panels together.

For the sentiment, I stamped the "Happy Valentine's Day" sentiment and red heart from the Foxy Friends Stamp set, the "Sending Love &" sentiment from the Big Bunny Stamp set, "Hugs" sentiment from the Holiday Hugs Stamp set and the "Especially For You" sentiment from the Inside Greetings Seasons Stamp set directly onto the pink panel with Versafine Satin Red and Onyx Black inks. I used a black pen to draw in the line and dots to create a separation of the left and right side of the postcard. 

I used the Gift Card Envelopes Dies to die-cut two stamps and the LOVE and XOXO letters out of white, red, and silver cardstock. I affixed them to the upper-right corner of my postcard. I adhered the bear to the panel with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. The panel was adhered to a white A2 card base.

Background Basics 2 Card with Leanne

Hi everyone! Leanne here. It's usually this time during the winter months that I start to get really anxious for spring. I just couldn't resist brightening my spirits and craft desk with creating a card with a pretty spring color palette.  

I have used a mix of Sunny Studio products for this design including the new Basic Backgrounds 2 stamps. Instead of using the grid pattern stamp to create a background, I have used it to give the envelope a subtle pattern. After die cutting the envelope, I stamped the pattern before folding and adhering the bottom & sides. 

Here are the additional stamps and dies I've used to create this card:

Lovely Lilacs stamps & coordinating dies

Big Bunny stamps & coordinating dies (for the greeting)

To stamp the lilacs, their foliage, and the greeting, I used some Pink Fresh Studio inks. The pink shades are Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, & Bubble Gum. The green shades are Fresh Pear, Grassy Knoll, & Key Lime.
