Party Pets Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today with a clean and simple birthday card to share with you showcasing this adorable pup from the Party Pets set. I absolutely adore this set and find myself repeatedly reaching for it. 

I stamped the images from the Party Pets stamps set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Party Pets Dies to die cut them out. I colored them with Copic markers and highlighted them with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Dog: E50/51/53/33/35, R000/20, R22
Balloons: RV000/10/21/13/14

I used the Slimline Nature Borders Dies to die cut a piece of clear acetate to make my own cloud stencil. I ink blended a cloudy background with this stencil and some Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. Once the panel was dry, I used the second largest die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies to die cut the panel.

I adhered a piece of craft foam to the backside of the panel before adhering it to a piece of white cardstock that was matted with a slightly larger piece of black cardstock (4.25" x 5.5").

For the sentiment, I stamped one of the sentiments from the Party Pets stamps set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder. I used the coordinating Party Pets Dies to die cut it out. 

I adhered the sentiment and colored images to the front of the inked panel with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. Finally, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5"). I finished the card with a few Majestic Clear Confetti.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Cards with Marieke Slaats

Hello all, Marieke Slaats here! I'm back with a project that I created as a guest designer for Sunny Studio Stamps. The lovely Mendi asked me to be a guest this month and I could not resist saying yes. So for my first project I created a series of Artist Trading cards.

For my Project, I cut four rectangle panels using the Polka Dot Parade 6x6 Paper. I die-cut a slightly smaller rectangle and inked some different colors of ink onto it. I used the same colors of ink and a stencil to create the confetti. I splattered some water and adhered them together. 

I stamped the images out of the Party Pets Stamp, colored them up using my Copic markers, and cut them using the Party Pets Dies. I adhered the images to the cards and added some Glossy Accents to the balloons. I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiments. I finished the cards by adding some Citrine, Peridot, Aquamarine, and Pink Spinel Jewels.

For my second project, I created a shaker card using the adorable Cat Antics Stamp. First, I cut a white rectangle. Using the Window Trio Heart Portrait, I partially cut the top and bottom hearts. I stamped the sentiment using two different colors of pink inks. Then, I used the lightest color again for the hearts out of Wedded Bliss.

I added a strip of acetate behind the white rectangle. I cut a side-fold white base card and adhered the Sleek Stripes Paper onto it. I cut a white rectangle and ink-blended some Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide inks onto it. I filled the shaker and closed it.

I stamped the cats out of Cat Antics and colored them using my Copic markers. I cut them by using the matching Cat Antics Dies and adhered them to the card.

Designer's Choice: Foxy Friends Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today with a fun birthday card for a foxtastic friend featuring images from the Foxy Friends and Party Pets sets.

I stamped the fox, bird and flower pot images from the Foxy Friends stamps set and the balloon bouquet from the Party Pets stamps set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Foxy Friends Dies and Party Pets Dies to die cut them out. I colored them with Copic markers and highlighted them with a white gel pen.

Foxes: YR21/24/27 E35/37, W00/1/3, R00/30
Birds: Y11/13/15 V12, Y38
Balloons: RV000/10/13/14
Flower Pot: RV10/13/14, YG03/17, YR21/24/27

For the background, I took a piece of white cardstock (4.25" x 5.5") and diecut three windows into it using circle dies from the Stitched Circle Small Dies and Stitched Circle Large Dies. Using this panel as a guide, I ink blended Spun Sugar and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock in the location of those windows. 

For the sentiment, I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Party Pets stamps set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder. I used the coordinating Party Pets Dies to die cut it out. For the sub sentiment, I stamped the words from the Foxy Friends stamps set directly onto the panel with the windows with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink.

I adhered the two panels to each other using foam tape. I adhered the sentiment and colored images to the front of the card with foam tape for additional dimension and interest. The card front was adhered to an A2 white card base (4.25" x 5.5"). I finished the card with a few Majestic Clear Confetti.
