Crisp Apple & Punny Apple Greetings Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm so happy to be back with this lovely apple themed card showcasing, once again, a mix & match of images from different sets (listed down below), as well as Crisp Apple die-cuts. Don't you love it when a brand releases products that go perfectly with previously released items? That's what I like the most about Sunny Studio, besides their ever so sweet designs, of course!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Crisp Apple Die & Punny Apple Greetings Card by Marine Simon (featuring Happy Harvest, Fall Kiddos, Truckloads of Love, Seasonal Trees)

As very often, I started off by stamping my images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my alcohol markers. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Fall Kiddos - kids • Truckloads Of Love - truck, apples, crates • Happy Harvest - sunflowers • Fall Friends - apples • Farm Fresh - crows • Barnyard Buddies - fences • Seasonal Trees - trees • Bunnyville - grass • Turkey Day - heart on the sweater.

Next I cut six Crisp Apples out of light pink cardstock, and used candied apple and lumberjack plaid oxide inks to add more depth to each element. I also cut leaves out of green cardstock, and added more depth using rustic wilderness oxide ink. And I cut the stems out of brown cardstock, and added more depth using vintage photo oxide ink.

For my background, I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel, and went for a simple landscape with a cloudy sky on the upper half using a cloud stencil from my stash along with salvaged patina and peacock feathers distress inks, and grass on the lower half using peeled paint and forest moss distress inks.

I attached all my images and die-cut apples on the panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, stamped in black my "I couldn't have picked a better friend" greeting from Punny Apple Greetings between the trees, and finally added highlights and details using a white gel pen.

And that's it! I hope you like this adorable autumn scene. Thanks so much for stopping by, and see you next week!

Crisp Apple & Punny Apple Greetings Card with Tina

Hello crafters, it’s Tina and for my colorful card today I am using the fun and versatile Crisp Apple Dies combined with the Punny Apple Greetings stamp set. I wanted to create a rainbow themed card for a long time and this cute apple die is perfect for that.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Crisp Apple & Punny Fruit Greetings Rainbow Themed Friendship Card by Tina Henkens (featuring Dotted Diamond Dies)

After die cutting nine apples, with matching stems and leaves, I put all the pieces onto a sticky mat and selected a whole rainbow of inks from my stash (Oxides). Coloring with Copics is always fun but lately, having good tools like the mat, I love adding ink to die cuts with my blending brushes. It’s a fast technique that provides great shading.

Once all the pieces were dry, I added splatters of water and white paint with a small paintbrush. Next, I pulled a simple white card base from my drawer and cut a panel of Neenah Paper to A2 size with my paper trimmer.

This panel was decorated with the Dotted Diamond Portrait die which gives it that subtle background interest. I adhered the panel to my card base with liquid glue and added the nine apples onto the panel to check placement. Once happy, I started mounting the pieces with foam tape.

Since the card was already filled with lots of color, I wanted a contrasting sentiment. I stamped a combined saying from the Punny Apple Greetings stamp set with VersaMark Embossing ink on a black strip, and sprinkled on white embossing powder. Next, I melted the powder with a heat gun and added the sentiment to the card.

I had a lot of fun creating this sweet card and I hope to see your creations soon! Thank you for visiting the blog and happy crafting!

Wood Barrel Die Focused Card with Nicky

Hello, this is Nicky with you today on the Sunny Studio blog and I'm sharing a 'Fall feel' card, focusing on our new Wood Barrel Die, with a fun sentiment.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Wood Barrel Die Focused Card by Nicky Meeks (featuring Punny Apple Greetings, Crisp Apple Dies, Buffalo Plaid Dies)

I created an A2 panel of green cardstock and applied it to my card base.  I then used the Buffalo Plaid Straight Die to die cut the white background panel which I glued to the green panel.

I die cut the Wood Barrel Die from kraft cardstock and for the metal strapping around the barrel I used black cardstock. I glued the parts together and used Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink to ink blend some of the barrel for shading. I backed the barrel with foam tape and applied it to the background.

I then took the small apple from the Crisp Apple Die and die cut it from green cardstock multiple times. I ink blended the green apples with The Stamp Market's 'Cherry' Ink  and I die cut the stalks from brown cardstock and the leaves using the same green cardstock. I blended the leaves with a little of The Stamp Market's 'Gumdrop' Ink. Using glue, I assembled all of the apples in a production line.

With the apples assembled I then slowly layered them into the barrel using little pieces of foam tape on the reverse. I kept a couple of apples to use at the bottom of the barrel along with some fallen leaves. With one of the apples I stamped the smiley face which is included in the Punny Apple Greetings sentiment stamp set.

I then stamped the sentiment in two parts and applied these with foam tape and finished by using my white gel pen to highlight certain points.

Thank you for stopping by to read about this project, I'll be back next Friday with something new. Happy crafting!

Guest Designer Spotlight: Crisp Apple & Wood Barrel Cards with Rachel Alvarado

Sunny Studio Stamps: Crisp Apple Fall Themed Cards by Rachel Alvarado

Hello crafty friends! It's Rachel from RachelAlvaradoDesigns.com. I am so happy to be back on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today with some apple-themed projects that feature new products from their latest release. This release is absolutely gorgeous, so I hope you'll love it as much as I do!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Crisp Apple Fall Themed Cards by Rachel Alvarado (featuring Frilly Frame Dies, Scalloped Circle Mat Dies, Punny Apple Greetings)

All of my cards today feature the yummy new Crisp Apple Dies. For all of my cards, I die cut a variety of both large and small apples from a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To add color, I then blended each apple with a combination of Candied Apple, Lumberjack Plaid, Ground Espresso, and Scorched Timber Distress Inks. I blended my darkest colors on the left side of my apples and worked my way to the right with my lighter colors, leaving a very light spot on the top left portion of the apple to give it more of a 3D appearance. I did the same for my leaves, but used Mowed Lawn Distress Ink instead.

For my apple core area, I die cut it from a piece of light beige card stock and lightly blended the bottom left area of this piece with some Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink.

I then added a rectangular layer of lattice and scalloped circles with a piece of white card stock that I had die cut using the Frilly Frames Lattice Die Set. Next, I added a red circle to which I adhered a white scalloped circle that I had die cut using the beautiful Scalloped Circle Mat 3 Dies. Lastly, I added my apples with some 3D foam adhesive tape as well as my sentiment (from the new Punny Apple Greetings Stamp Set) that I had heat embossed to a strip of black card stock with some Fine Detail White Embossing Powder.

For my second project, I combined the Crisp Apple Dies with the new Wooden Barrel Die Set. After ink-blending my apples, I went ahead and die cut my wooden barrel from a piece of Kraft card stock. I then added some shading my barrel by blending the vertical slats in the barrel with some Ground Espresso and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink to give it more depth. Next, I die cut my "metal" barrel pieces from some silver shine card stock to make it look more realistic.

To give my background some texture, I die cut my red background piece with the new Buffalo Plaid Straight Die and then layered it with a piece of white card stock to which I had added some more texture using the Dotted Diamond Portrait Die. I also added a red scalloped circle once again using the Scalloped Circle Mat 3 Dies and layered it with a white stitched circle that I had die cut with the Stitched Circle Small Dies. To finish my card, I again heat embossed my sentiment with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder onto a banner that I had die cut from red card stock using the Brilliant Banner 1 Die.

For my last card, I combined the Crisp Apple Die Set with the previously released Slimline Scalloped Frame and Slimline Nature Border die sets. I also added some cute little mice that I had stamped using both the Harvest Mice and Merry Mice clear stamp sets. I stamped my images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, colored them with Copic Markers, and used their coordinating die sets to cut them out.

For my background sky, I lightly blended some Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink and added some spatters of diluted Copic Opaque White Paint and some light brown dots from Copic Markers for added interest. I also added some white ink spatters to my grass area after I had ink-blended it with some Mowed Lawn Distress Ink. I stamped my sentiment from the Punny Apple Greetings Stamp Set onto the top right corner with black ink and once again added my images with 3D foam adhesive tape for a pop of dimension.

I hope you enjoyed my cards today and will check out these amazing new products! Thanks so much for dropping by! If you want more card making inspiration, feel free to also check out my Instagram FeedWishing you all a lovely day!

Brilliant Banner 3 Die Focused Card with Nicky

Hello everyone this is Nicky with you today on the Sunny Studio blog with a new card featuring new products from the latest release, which is all available for purchase.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Brilliant Banner 3 Die Focused Card by Nicky Meeks (featuring Crisp Apple Dies, Punny Apple Greetings, Stitched Oval Dies)

I started by creating a layer of panels starting with kraft cardstock then a slightly smaller white panel and then slightly smaller again using a patterned sheet from the Sweater Weather 6 x 6 Paper. I glued these together and then adhered the stack to a prepared card base.

Next up, I die cut the oval using the Stitched Oval 2 Die and I ink blended the focal point using Distress Oxide Ink in Spun Sugar. I backed the oval with some white craft foam and glued it to the patterned background.

I die cut the different parts of the Brilliant Banner 3 Die from white cardstock. I adhered the pieces together and then stamped the sentiment from Punny Apple Greetings using 'Lipstick' Ink from The Stamp Market. I backed the sentiment strip/banner with dimensional foam tape and adhered it to the bottom of the oval.

Using sturdy white cardstock and the Crisp Apple Die, I die cut all the different parts to form the apples and apple slices. I used the Lipstick ink again to ink blend red parts and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink (used sparingly sometimes) to ink blend the green parts. I assembled and glued together the different parts and then backed them with dimensional foam tape and arranged them, tucking them behind the banner and building up and out until it looked balanced and finishing with a small apple under the banner for an accent.

For the finishing touch I adhered water droplet style embellishments in place which I thought felt right with the Crisp Apple slices and with that this card was complete.

I appreciate you taking the time to read about my card today and hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Crisp Apple & Wood Barrel Card with Amanda

Hey there, friends! It's Amanda here sharing a card I made using some of the New Release items! Although I love that this release has some fabulous Fall and Winter products, I'm really not ready for the weather to turn cold! Are you looking forward to it or hanging on to the summer, like me?! I am sharing this cheery card that will be perfect for the beginning of the school year! Every teacher deserves a handmade card in my book!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Crisp Apple & Wood Barrel Teacher Appreciation Card by Amanda Fitterer (featuring Punny Apple Greetings)

To create this card, I started by swiping my Catherine Pooler Rockin' Red ink over some white card stock. Then, I die-cut some of the new Crisp Apple Dies. Once they were cut, I used Cranberry Fizz ink to make the edges darker. For the leaves, I used Melon Ice and the stems are Sand Castle.

Next, I die-cut the new Wood Barrel Dies. For the barrel, I used Copic markers to create even more dimension. I used C3, C5, and C7 for the metal bands. I used E30, E31, E34, and E35 for the wood. For my background, I trimmed a piece of paper from the Joyful Holiday Paper Pack to 4"x5.25". I adhered this paper to my A2 card base.

Now for the tricky part ... Getting my apples in the barrel! I played around with them until I was happy with how they looked and then put 3D foam squares behind them. I also propped up my barrel with 3D foam tape.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Crisp Apple & Wood Barrel Teacher Appreciation Card by Amanda Fitterer (featuring Punny Apple Greetings)

Once I had my card looking good, I could create my sentiments! I used the new Punny Apple Greetings Stamp Set. I stamped the sentiments on black card stock using a WOW! Embossing Pad.  I applied white embossing powder and then melted the powder with my heat tool. I used a trimmer to cut the sentiments out and then applied foam tape to the backs of them. I adhered them to my card and then added some sequins for a little bit of extra fun!

I think my kiddo's teacher is going to love this card! I hope you enjoyed my card and feel inspired to make something crafty yourself now!

Thanks for stopping by the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today! Hope you have fun shopping the new goodies from the New Release!
