Holiday Express & Penguin Party Card with Amanda

Hey crafty friends! It’s Amanda here with you today on the Sunny Studio blog and I’m sharing a sweet little holiday card!

To create the card base, I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 5.5”x8.25” and then scored and folded it in half. On the edges of the card base, I lightly swiped Catherine Pooler Clay Mask ink to create a pretty pink border. Next, I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 4”x5.25”. I glued this panel to the card base.

To create that gorgeous lacy frame, I used the Scalloped Oval Mat 3 Dies. I ran a white cardstock panel through the die cutting machine with the largest oval. Then, I ran the frame through with the Diagonal Cover Die to create the little criss cross pattern. To add color to the oval, I ink blended Catherine Pooler Clay Mask and Polished inks. Using the Frosty Flurries Stamps and the Polished ink, I added some pink snow in the background. Then, I put 3D foam strips behind the oval and attached it to my card.

My images are from the Holiday Express and Penguin Party stamps. I stamped all the images with black ink and then colored them in with Copic markers. I added some white highlights and dots with a white Gelly Roll pen. I also added gold accents with a gold Gelly Roll pen. I cut each image out using their coordinating dies. I put 3D foam squares behind all of the images and added them to the front of the card.

To create my sentiment, I stamped the 2 separate stamps onto a piece of black cardstock with my WOW! embossing pad. I applied white embossing powder to the glue and then melted the powder using my heat tool. I used scissors to cut out each sentiment. I applied white foam tape behind them and added them to my card front. The final touch was to add 3 Metallic Gold Confetti pieces with liquid glue to add a little more shine to the card!

Penguin Party Card with Amanda

Hey crafty friends! It’s Amanda here today with you on the blog this lovely Tuesday to share a really “fun & festive” holiday card!

This card is so bright and cheery because of the Joyful Holiday Paper! I planned the entire card around that super fun paper pack! I trimmed the red and pink striped paper down to 4.25” x 5.25” to use as my background panel. The pink snowflake paper is trimmed to 3.75” x 5”. I glued both of these panels together onto an A2 card base.

The arched panel was created using the Stitched Arch Dies and a piece of white cardstock. On this panel, I stamped the hilly trees stamp from the Scenic Route Stamps. This set has the BEST winter backgrounds! I love it!

I used some low tack masking tape to create a mask so I could ink blend the sky. I used Cummerbund and All That Jazz from Catherine Pooler to create the sky. Then, I stamped my sentiment from the Penguin Party Stamps directly onto the sky with black ink.

Then, I stamped my penguins and gift boxes from the Penguin Party Stamps onto white cardstock. Next, it’s time to color everything! I colored my background and images using Copic Markers.

I used a combo of these markers all throughout the scene:
BG0000, BG00, BG01, BG45, BG49
R43, R46
RV10, RV13, RV14, RV17, RV19
YR04, YR09, YR21
YG01, YG06, YG17
N1, N3, N6, N8

I used the coordinating Penguin Party Dies to cut out the penguins and gifts. Then, I put 3D foam squares behind them and added them to the arched panel. I also put 3D foam strips behind the arch panel and added it to the center of the card base. Finally, I added snow with some white acrylic paint!

Penguin Party Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today with a fun birthday card to celebrate Sunny Studio Stamps' 10th Birthday. Sunny Studio has so many adorable critters but one of my favorites has always been the super cute penguins. My card today features penguins from the Passionate Penguins and Penguin Party sets. These two sets mix and match beautifully with one another. 

I stamped the penguin images from the Passionate Penguins Stamps and Penguin Party Stamps, the balloon and party hat images from Party Pets Stamps, the little gift from the Foxy Friends Stamps and the banner and cupcake from the Panda Party Stamps sets onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Passionate Penguins Dies, Penguin Party Dies, Party Pets Dies, Foxy Friends Dies and Panda Party Dies to die cut them out. I colored them with Copic markers and highlighted them with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Penguins: T3/5/7, Y38 YR04, W00/1, R00/20
Pink: RV000/10/13/14
White: C00/1/3

For the background, I took a piece of white cardstock (4.25" x 5.5") and die cut three windows into it using circle the second and fourth largest dies from the Stitched Circle Small Dies. Using this panel as a guide, I ink blended Spun Sugar and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock in the location of those windows. 

For the sentiment, I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Party Pets Stamps set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder. I used the coordinating Party Pets Dies to die cut it out. 

I adhered the two panels to each other using foam tape. I adhered the sentiment and colored images to the front of the card with foam tape for additional dimension and interest. The card front was adhered to an A2 white card base (4.25" x 5.5"). I finished the card with a few Majestic Clear Confetti.

Hello there, Sunny Studio Stamps fans! It’s Amanda Fitterer here with you on the Blog today! I get to share this super adorable slimline card I made! I don’t make slimline cards often, but when you’re trying to fit as many cute penguins in one scene, you just HAVE to, right?! Keep reading to see how I put this card together!

To create this card, I’m going to trim down a piece of white cardstock to slimline size (3.5”x8.5”). For my background, I am going to use the Scenic Route Stamps. I love how many different ways you can use this one stamp set! 

I’m using these stamps to create 3 little “scenes”. I’m going to use the Christmas light strands at the top and the little houses under that for one scene. At the bottom, I am going to use the hills & trees image. For the bottom scene, I am using the left side of the stamp and for the middle scene, I’m using the right side.

Once I’ve stamped my scenes, I’m ready to lay out my penguins from the Penguin Party Stamps. After figuring out which penguin will go where, I can stamp each one out with its little accessories!

Now that everything is stamped, I can use my Copic markers to color all the images. Once the penguins are finished, I can cut them out using the Penguin Party Dies. I am using 3D foam squares to prop up each of the penguins and adhere them to the card front.

The final step is to add my sentiments. I am using black cardstock and white embossing powder to make the sentiments pop! The sentiments are all from the Penguin Party Stamps. First, I’m going to stamp them onto black cardstock with my WOW! Embossing Pad. Then, I’m going to apply Super Fine White Embossing  Powder and use my heat tool to melt the powder. I’m using my trimmer to trim each sentiment into strips. I’m using 3D foam strips to prop the sentiments up and adhere them to the card front.

Finally, I can glue my card front to a slimline card base and I’m all ready to send it to someone special this Holiday season!
