Gift Card Envelope Die Focused Card with Tina

Hi crafty friends, Tina here and today we are integrating the cute Gift Card Envelope die into a card design. Of course, this die is totally adorable on its own and you can create the sweetest little card projects. But I thought it would be fun to create a little scene and have a Garden Fairy fly out of the envelope!

To start, I created a white A2 card base and grabbed a colorful flower paper from the Flirty Flowers pack. This set is one of my favorites, not only do you get gorgeous pastel colors, but one side of the papers has a heart pattern whilst the other side are flowers. I love having these versatile paper pads that give you a ton of options! For this fairytale card I opted for a beautiful purple tone and cut the panel with the outside border die from Frilly Frames Chevron. I glued this piece directly to the card base.

For my Gift Card Envelope I selected another purple paper, polka dots this time from the Dots & Stripes Pastels pad. The envelope is very easy to assemble, I just used a few strips of narrow double-sided tape to connect the flaps.

Next, I stamped and die cut my elements for the scene from the Garden Fairy and Garden Critters sets. All the coloring was done with my favorite medium, being Copic markers. I kept the color palette simple sticking with purples, pinks, and blues. Isn’t it great that in cardmaking you can have pink mushrooms and ladybugs!

For a grassy border I used the same paper as the background and one of the Mini Grass Border dies. I placed all the elements I had so far on my card and decided I needed a big bold sentiment. Since I am always in need of birthday cards I used this sentiment from the Big Bold Greetings set and cut it with the matching die. Another set that is an absolute staple piece for any craft room!

Finally, I mounted the envelope to the card base and build the scene. I love how the fairy seems to fly out! Lastly, I added the sentiment and a few pink gems from the Pastel Jewels mix.

My Heart Card with Isha

Hello everyone! Isha here with a CAS card featuring the My Heart stamp and coordinating dies. I love the font of this stamp, so I decided to keep it as my focal image and create the background to enhance it.

I started by sponging the kitsch flamingo and dried marigold distress inks onto a white panel. Stamp the hearts in two sizes from the My Heart stamp set. Die-cut this panel using the Stitched Rectangle die. Adhere to a white card. Flick some clear iridescent watercolor.

Stamp the sentiment using black ink, die-cut using the coordinating dies. I die-cut the sentiment 3 more times using white card and stacked it behind the sentiment. Die-cut a vellum circle using the Stitched Circle Large die. Adhere the sentiment to the vellum and attach it to the card.

Love Birds Card with Leanne

Hello and happy Monday! Leanne here to share some fresh card making inspiration showcasing the Love Birds stamp set.  

I started with a light aqua blue card base. I trimmed a panel of white card stock down just slightly smaller than my A2 card base. I ran that panel through my die cut machine with the Dotted Diamond Portrait die to give it that decorative texture.  I then used a Fancy Frames Circle die to cut out a scalloped circle shaped window.  I also die cut some peach card stock with that same circle frame die four times.  The peach scalloped circles have been stacked and adhered together to create one thick frame to highlight the scene.  

I used a blend of Tattered Rose and Dried Marigold Distress Oxide inks to create a soft peachy background to put behind the window.  I Copic colored the birds and branch images. I used the coordinating Love Birds dies to cut them out and then added them onto the card.  I tucked one bird behind the top of circle window so he's peeking out and looking down at the one perched on the branch.

I stamped the word "tweetheart" directly onto the background. It fit perfectly in the space between the birds.  To finish the greeting I added a sentiment from the Lovey Dovey stamp set.

Bighearted Bears Card with Rachel

Hello friends! It's Rachel here with a love-themed shaker card featuring the new and adorable Bighearted Bears Stamp Set. I absolutely LOVE this stamp set! It can be used for more than just Valentine's Day and it also coordinates perfectly with the previously released Panda Party Stamp Set. 

I first stamped my images onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I also stamped a fun little banner from the Panda Party Stamp Set. I used Copic markers to color my images and the coordinating Bighearted Bears and Panda Party die sets to cut them out.

Copic Colors Used:

• Pandas: W00, W1, W3, W5, W7
• Cheeks: R32
• Pinks: RV02, RV04, RV17
• Reds: R14, R46, R59, R89

Next, I trimmed a piece of smooth white card stock to 4" x 5.25" and blended it with some Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Inks. Once I finished blending, I then added some spatters of diluted Copic Opaque White Paint as well as some pink dots from some Copic Markers (RV02, RV04). I used some doubled sided tape to attach this piece to my top-folding A2 sized card base (4.25" x 5.5") and then die cut my scalloped frame 6x's using the largest die from the Fancy Frames Rectangles Die Set. I used liquid adhesive to glue five of the frames together and then adhered them to my card base over top of the ink-blended panel. I then stamped my sentiment from the My Heart Stamp Set with some Pinkfresh Candy Apple Ink, cut it out with the coordinating My Heart Die Set and then added it to the center of my card base.

Next, I poured some Red & Pink Clay Heart Confetti and Majestic Mini Sequins onto the center of my card. After spreading the embellishments out with my finger, I then glued a 4" x 5.25" piece of clear acetate to the top of my rectangular scalloped frame. To finish off the shaker portion of my card, I then glued one more layer of my frame on top of the acetate for a clean look. Lastly, I added my images with some 3D foam adhesive tape for a pop of dimension.

Treat Bag Topper Gift with Cathy

Hey friends! Cathy here today sharing a fun Valentine's gift using the Treat Bag Topper Dies. These dies are perfect for any occasion and add such a great touch to a little gift!

I started by die-cutting the topper from white cardstock and then die-cutting it with the Dotted Diamond Landscape Die for a little texture. Since I chose a panda in my little scene, I die-cut the topper again from black cardstock and overlapped/adhered the white and black toppers together.

Next, I die-cut the stitched rectangle in the dies from cream cardstock and inked it lightly with Saltwater Taffy Distress ink. I also splattered a little watered down white and black paints with a fan brush. I then stamped the cobblestone stamp from the Sprawling Surfaces Stamps on Neenah Classic Crest 80lb solar white cardstock and colored it with Copics. I used the same stitched rectangle die and die-cut the top portion of the stamp. I used scissors and cut along the top edge of the cobblestone and adhered it to the bottom of the cream stitched rectangle.

Next, I stamped the panda, truck, hearts and heart balloons on Neenah Classic Crest 80lb solar white cardstock, colored them with Copics and die-cut them using the coordinating dies.

I used the following stamps/dies:

I adhered the heart balloons to the treat bag topper first and then adhered the stitched rectangle with the truck. I heat embossed small sentiments from the Truckloads of Love Stamps and Panda Party Stamps on pink cardstock with white embossing powder and hand cut around them. I die-cut the "love" sentiment using the Loopy Letters Dies from black and white cardstock and layered them together.

 

The Treat Bag Topper Dies are sized perfectly to fit the top of a cellophane treat bag, but I decided to make an outer sleeve to go over a cellophane bag. This allowed the treat bag to stand upright with candy inside. To make this, I cut a piece of kraft cardstock 4" x 11" and scored it on the 11" side at 4 3/4" and 6 1/4". I then die-cut one end of the cardstock using the Dotted Diamond Landscape Die to match the topper.

I created a window to see the treats inside by die-cutting the cardstock 3/4" up from the score line using the second largest Stitched Heart 2 Dies. To get a scalloped heart border around the opening, I die-cut a piece of pink cardstock using the second largest Scalloped Heart Dies and then die-cut it using the second largest Stitched Heart 2 Dies. I then adhered the scalloped frame around the opening.

 

To finish, I filled a cellophane treat bag with some candy, set it inside the folded kraft cardstock piece and stapled it at the top.  I then adhered my treat bag topper to the top of the kraft cardstock.

My Heart Card with Nicky

Hello friends, this is Nicky with you today on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog and I have a sweet Valentine's card to share with you featuring the My Heart stamp set and coordinating dies. Please read on for all the details. 

I trimmed down the background panel to 5 3/4 inches square. This panel forms part of the Spring Fling paper pack. I adhered the panel to the card base. Over this I layered a die cut square frame from my stash. This was applied with foam tape to create dimension.

I stamped the wonderful My Heart sentiment with red ink. I did this in my Misti so that I could repeat stamp 2 or 3 times for a super crisp image. I then die cut the sentiment using the coordinating die. I applied this to the corner of my scene with foam tape.

I stamped the Big Bunny image with Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa and I coloured the images using the following Copic markers:

Bunny - C3, C1, C0, C00
Bunny Tummy - C1, C0, C00, R000
Blush - R22, R21, R20, R00
Bows - R89, R39, R29
Envelope - C1, C0, B000, B0000, R39, R29

I used a black marker to make the eyes bolder and added some cute eyelashes and then I used a white gel pen to highlight points. I die cut using the bunny and envelope using the coordinating dies then backed the image with foam tape and applied it to the card.

To complete the card I die cut the little flowers using one of the dies included with the Gift Card Envelope Die and adhered these with glue.
