Balloon Rides Hot Air Balloon Card with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi here today, dropping in to share a card for Summer using our Balloon Rides Stamps. I wanted to color my hot air balloon from the set as a rainbow, but decided to mix it up a bit to look like you were catching it from a different angle by having my rainbow start with green so that it wouldn't perfectly line up with my rainbow bunting.

I inked two panels of white cardstock I had sitting on my desk left over from another card, using a light hand of Salty Ocean distress ink for my sky and Twisted Citron from the grass before trimming them down using our Stitched Rectangle Dies. I then added the hillside curve using our Slimline Nature Border Dies.

The remainder of my card including the sentiment, critter, house, and trees were all filled to complete my scene using the Balloon Rides Stamps. For the two cloud images that come with the stamp set, I chose to stamp just the simple outline of them onto my background using PinkFresh Studio Summer Shower Ink. I love the subtle effect of keeping them tone-on-tone!

Balloon Rides Card with Tina

Hi crafty friends, Tina here and I had so much fun making this sweet ‘Good Luck’ card with the adorable critters from the Balloon Rides Stamp and die set.

After creating a white card base, I added some texture to the corners with a dotted stencil from my stash and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide and put that aside to work on a layered circle piece.

I needed to figure out the size of the inner circle, so I started by cutting all the letters for the ‘Good Luck’ sentiment with the Chloe Alphabet dies. Using some soft pastels in pink and teal from the Flirty Flowers papers as my top layer and cutting additional letters from white card stock to create that ‘chipboard’ look by stacking them all together. Combining dies from the Stitched Circles Small an Stitched Circles Large sets worked great for the look I was going for.

I also love a scalloped border, which was obtained by using the outer die from the Fancy Frames Circles. This piece comes apart and I was able to sandwich one of the white circles between the two layers. For my smallest white circle, I repeated the pink dots with the stencil to mirror my card base.

I glued the stacked circles to my card base and added the letters in a playful way, which adds to the fun character of the card. Last but definitely not least, I stamp and colored (Copic Markers) the cute critters (Balloon Rides Stamp) and scattered them around the words. To finish this sweet project, I glued a ring of Aquamarine Jewels on top of the pink scalloped border.

Inside Greetings Belated Birthday Card with Tina

Hi crafty friends, Tina here and although not often, it does happen that I forget to send a birthday card. Those are the times when the Inside Greetings Belated Birthday stamp set comes to the rescue! In this instance, I stamped a shorter sentiment from the set onto a white banner and put it on the outside of my card.

I wanted to go for a ‘relatable scene’ and since hot air balloons travel slow, it would be the perfect match for the sentiment!

After creating a white card base, I die cut a panel from white card stock with the outer die from Frilly Frames Retro Petals. To create a ‘sky scene’, I transformed this piece into an arched frame (largest of the Stitched Arched dies). Next step was to dry emboss this frame with the Lots of Dots folder. I love that extra layer of detail!

I still had the inner arched piece of white card stock left and this will be become my sky by inking it with a light blue ink from my stash. Next, I cut two layers of white clouds.

After selecting the hot air balloon, the koala and three clouds from the Balloon Rides set, I started the coloring with my trusty Copic markers and a white gel pen for added details.

I assembled the different layers of this card, by gluing the cloud borders to the back of the frame. Next, I placed the arched piece, which fitted in like a puzzle piece! I held all these elements together with some tape on the back before I mounted everything to the card base.

I tucked the balloon and his cute passenger between the puffy borders, added the separate clouds and finally placed the sentiment banner. Adding a few Pastel Jewels finishes this sweet project.

Brilliant Banner 4 Die Focused Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here with this new slimline autumn card featuring the mouse family again! This time the whole family is having fun at the pumpkin festival, and once again, I used many images from different sets (listed down below), as well as the Brilliant Banner 4 which goes perfectly with the hot air balloon from Balloon Rides, to create this lovely card.

I started off by cutting an 8,5 x 3,5 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel that I stenciled to create a very simple background. On the upper half, I created clouds using a cloud stencil from my stash along with salvaged patina and peacock feathers oxide inks. And on the bottom half, I created grassy hills using a hill stencil from my stash along with mowed lawn and rustic wilderness oxide inks.

Next I stamped my images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and my Graph'it brush markers.

Once the coloring was done, I worked on my greeting using Brilliant Banner 4 dies. I cut the front piece and the back piece out of different shades of cardstock, white heat embossed "Autumn greetings" from Turkey Day on the front piece, attached that front piece to the back piece using 1mm foam squares, and then stuck everything, images and banner, to my slimline panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

As always, to finish my card I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and that's it! I hope that you liked this new episode of the mouse family adventures. Thanks so much for stopping by, and see you next week!
