Sweet As Can Bee Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Hanh here with you today and I have a fun little boxcard card to share showcasing the Sweet As Can Bee set. So let’s get started.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sweet As Can Bee Card by Hanh Nguyen (featuring Little Birdie, Stitched Square Dies, Hayley Alphabet Dies)

I stamped the images from the Sweet As Can Bee Stamps set and a branch from the Little Birdie Stamps set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Sweet As Can Bee Dies and Little Birdie Dies to die cut them out. I also die cut some flowers from the Gift Card Envelope Dies out of the Neenah white and yellow cardstock. I colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Bees: Y11/13/15/19, T1/3/5/7, R20, BG000/10
Branch: E23/25/27
Leaves: YG01/03/25
Flowers: RV13
Beehive: Y11/13/08 YR21/24 W5
Honey Pot: YR21/23/24/27, RV10/21/13
Honey Dipper: RV21/13/14

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sweet As Can Bee Card by Hanh Nguyen (featuring Little Birdie, Stitched Square Dies, Hayley Alphabet Dies)

For the boxcard, I used the Stitched Square Dies to die cut one 4” square out of blue cardstock, one 3.5” square and two 1” squares out of white cardstock. I also trimmed a blue strip (1.25” x 11”) and two white strips (1.25” x 4.75”) for the boxcard base.

For the boxcard base, I used a score board to score the blue strip at the 1.25”, 5.25”, 6.5” and 10.5” marks. I folded on the score lines, added liquid blue to the 0.5” end tab and secured it to the other end of the strip to create the boxcard base. I adhered the two large square die cuts to each other and then to the back of the boxcard base. I adhered the two small white squares to the side panels.

For the boxcard shelves, I used the score board to score the two white strips at the 3/8” mark on each of the long ends. I folded on the score lines and added the shelves to the boxcard with a strong double-sided tape.

For the sentiment, I used the Slimline Pennant Dies to diecut a white banner. I used a partial diecuttibg technique and the fishtail end of the die to shorten the strip to fit the front of the boxcard. Next, I used the Hayley Uppercase Alphabet Dies and Hayley Lowercase Alphabet Dies to die cut the B-E-E letters out of black cardstock. I adhered the letters to each other with liquid adhesive and used the word to align the “You’re as sweet as can” sentiment from the Sweet As Can Bee Stamps set onto the banner. I stamped the sentiment directly onto the banner with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I adhered the BEE to the banner.

I adhered the colored images and sentiment strip to the boxcard with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape. To make it look like they are flying, I used clear acetate strips to adhere the bees.

I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and visit today. I hope you liked my card. For more info and ideas, be sure to visit the Sunny Studio Stamps Shop. Please also visit my INSTAGRAM feed for more inspirations.

Hayley Alphabet Die Focused Card with Tina M

Hi there! Tina M here! Today I’m sharing a card featuring the Hayley Uppercase Alphabet dies and Hayley Lowercase Alphabet dies, yummy watermelons and some cute foxes!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Hayley Alphabet & Foxy Friends Summer Themed Card by Tina Magnusson (featuring Slimline Nature Border Dies, Juicy Watermelon Dies)

I started off by trimming a piece of pink card stock from my stash to 4,25 x 5,5 inches to cover the front of my A2 size card base. Next, I trimmed a piece of turquoise patterned paper, heart side up from the Flirty Flowers Paper pack to 3,75 x 5 inches and adhered it to a piece of black card stock trimmed slightly bigger and adhered them to my A2 size card base.

I then trimmed a piece of green patterned paper, floral side up, also from the Flirty Flowers Paper pack to 3,75 x 5 inches. Using the grass die from the Slimline Nature Borders Die set I die cut two pieces of grass and adhered them to the heart patterned paper!

I stamped three of the cute foxes, the cart and two of the birds from the Foxy Friends Stamps set on alcohol ink friendly card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored them with my Copic Markers, see list below. I then die cut out the images using the coordinating Foxy Friends Dies.

Copic colors used:
Foxes: W0/1, E08/09/97, YR21, R30/32
Cart: E21/23/25, C4/6
Birds: RV52/55, V000, YR21

Sunny Studio Stamps: Hayley Alphabet & Foxy Friends Summer Themed Card by Tina Magnusson (featuring Slimline Nature Border Dies, Juicy Watermelon Dies)

To create the watermelons, I ink blended three smaller pieces of white card stock, using green, light yellow and pink ink and die cut them out using the Juicy Watermelon Dies. I took a little scrap piece of black card stock to die cut out the seeds; I chose the heart shaped ones! Using liquid glue I assembled the watermelon slices!

Did you notice that one of the foxes even took a bite out of one of the watermelon slices! That is a die from the die set and what a fun little detail!

Now on to creating the Hello Summer greeting using the Hayley Alphabet Die sets. They come in two different sets, Uppercase and Lowercase and I used both for my card! I die cut the letters out from pink and black card stock. I glued the pink letters together to create the words Hello and Summer, finished them off by gluing the black letters to create a shadow.

I added foam dots to the back of the watermelons, foxes and birds for dimension and arranged my scene and adhered them to the card. The greeting was glued to the card using liquid glue!

Thank you for stopping by! Wishing you a happy and colorful day!

Hayley Alphabet Die Focused Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Hanh here with you today and I have a fun cupcake-shaped birthday card to share showcasing the Cupcake Shape DiesHayley Uppercase Alphabet DiesHayley Lowercase Alphabet Dies and Birthday Mouse sets. There’s something about shaped cards that always catches my eyes. They are just so unique and extra special. And who doesn’t love a cupcake, right? Full confession: I have a soft spot for alphabet dies. I collect them whenever I can. These Hayley Alphabet Dies are just perfect for creating your own sentiments or personalizing a card. So let’s get started.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Hayley Alphabet Die Focused Birthday Card by Hanh Nguyen (featuring Birthday Mouse, Cupcake Shape Dies)

I used the Cupcake Shape Dies to die cut a cupcake, a cherry, two candles and two cupcake shadow dies out of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock. Next, I stamped the mouse image from the Birthday Mouse Stamps set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Birthday Mouse Dies to die cut it out. I colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

Happy Cupcake Day! For the sentiment, I used the Hayley Uppercase Alphabet Dies and Hayley Lowercase Alphabet Dies to die cut the necessary letters. I adhered them to the frosting of the cupcake with liquid adhesive. I stamped the “Happy” and “Day” sentiments from the Panda Party Stamps set directly onto the frosting of the cupcake with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Hayley Alphabet Die Focused Birthday Card by Hanh Nguyen (featuring Birthday Mouse, Cupcake Shape Dies)

For the card base, I took one of the two cupcake shadow die cuts and used my score board to score a horizontal line at the 0.75” mark from the tip of the frosting. I added some strong double-sided tape to the frosting tip and adhered the two cupcake shadow die cuts to each other to create a top folding card with a hinge at the frosting.

I adhered the colored cupcake, candles and cherry onto the front of the card base with liquid glue. I added the little mouse to the front of the cupcake with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest.

I love the fun shape of this card and how well it was designed to maximize the card size but still fit perfectly into an A2 sized envelope for easy mailing.

Sweet As Can Bee Card with Tina M

Hello there! Tina M here sharing a card created with the Sweet As Can Bee Stamps!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sweet As Can Bee Card by Tina Magnusson (featuring Love Birds, Hayley Alphabet Dies)

I have a mini slim line card for you today! The size of the card base is 3,50 x 6 inches. I added a piece of orange polka dot paper from the
Polka-Dot Parade Paper pack to cover the card base, using double sided tape.

Next, on a piece of white card stock I ink blended orange and pink ink. I then trimmed a piece of black cardstock for a frame to go behind my ink blended panel and adhered them both to the card base, using double sided tape. Now on to the stamping of the images!

I stamped the bees, the beehive, the little bucket and the heart shaped swirl from the Sweet As Can Bee Stamps set and the branch, leaves and flowers from the Love Birds Stamps set on alcohol ink friendly card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink and used the coordinating Sweet As Can Bee Dies and Love Birds Dies to die cut them out and colored them with my Copic Markers, see list below. I added the leaves and flowers to the branch using liquid glue.

Copic colors used:
Bees: YR04, Y15/17, B01/000
Beehive: YR04/07, Y15/17, N5/6/8
Branch: E21/23/25
Leaves: YG03/17
Flowers: Y17, RV52/55

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sweet As Can Bee Card by Tina Magnusson (featuring Love Birds, Hayley Alphabet Dies)

Next, I added foam dots to the back of the die cut images for dimension and adhered them to the card, except for the heart swirl which I glued directly to the panel using liquid glue.

For the sentiment I stamped the “Just buzzin´ by to say” from the Sweet As Can Bee Stamps set at the bottom of the panel. I used the Hayley Lowercase Alphabet Dies to die cut the HI letters out of pink and black cardstock. I layered and adhered the letters to each other and then onto the panel.

To complete my card I used Distress Rock Cand and Distress Matte medium for glue to the wings of the bees and to the center of the flowers for some sparkle!

Thanks for stopping by! Wishing you all a happy and colorful day!

Berry Bliss & Slice of Summer Fruit Cards with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi here today, popping in to share some fruit-themed cards for Summer using our fabulous Berry Bliss Stamps and Slice of Summer Stamps.

Sunny Studio Citrus, Strawberry, Watermelon, & Cherries Fruit Cards using Slice of Summer & Berry Bliss Clear Layering Stamps

First, I have a card using the layered citrus slice from our Slice of Summer Stamps, which I stamped to look like lemon, lime, grapefruit, and orange slices. I then die-cut a stitched circle using our Stitched Circle Small Dies, where I lightly drew 12 spokes on the back with my pencil and clear ruler like I was slicing a pizza or adding clock tick marks to give me a way to evenly space my fruit slices. Then, on the back of each slice, I drew a pencil through the center at the halfway mark to give me another point to line up each slice. I then arranged each slice, having them overlap the outside edge of my white cardstock circle by 1/2". I used liquid adhesive for this task to have a little wiggle room to adjust them before they dried as I quickly worked around the circle. As I was starting this project, I was nervous about my ability to make it look symmetrical. However, the easy measurement tricks I described worked, and I assembled this summer "wreath" rather quickly.

I then used our Scalloped Square 1 Large Dies to die-cut the striped paper to match the fruit from our Summer Splash Paper pack. After it was die-cut, I carefully used my paper trimmer to trim off the four scalloped edges and leave a small border around the stitching. This gave me the perfect stitched square to layer over the same scalloped square cut from white cardstock for my card base. I cut a second white scalloped square to score along the top and to adhere to the backside of my card front to form my notecard. Lastly, I stamped the greeting from the Slice of Summer Stamps, substituting the word "slice" from our Hayley
Uppercase Alphabet Dies and Hayley Lowercase Alphabet Dies.

My second card pairs the watermelon from the Slice of Summer Stamps with the strawberries, raspberries, and cherries from our Berry Bliss Stamps. I arranged them in and around our Layered Basket Stamps, wrapping twine around the basket and popping it up with foam tape to help it lie flat with the thickness of the twine. I stamped and heat-embossed the greeting "You're so sweet" from our Punny Fruit Greetings Stamps onto a small tag cut with our Sweet Treats Gift Bag Die, which I topped with a twine bow. I also stamped a subtle pink diagonal grid pattern using our Background Basics 2 Stamps with VersaFine Clair Baby Pink Ink to add some interest to my background.

I am frequently asked which ink colors I used for my layered images. Some of these images were previously stamped using now-retired Colorbox inks; however, I spent considerable time trying to find the closest matches to share them here with you (from lightest to darkest).
