Hey
there, friends! It's Amanda here sharing a card I made using some of
the New Release items! Although I love that this release
has some fabulous Fall and Winter products, I'm really not ready for the
weather to turn cold! Are you looking forward to it or hanging on to
the summer, like me?! I am sharing this cheery card that will be perfect for the beginning of the school year! Every teacher deserves a handmade card in my book!
To create this card, I started by swiping my Catherine Pooler Rockin' Red ink
over some white card stock. Then, I die-cut some of the new Crisp
Apple Dies. Once they were cut, I used Cranberry Fizz ink to
make the edges darker. For the leaves, I used Melon Ice and the
stems are Sand Castle.
Next, I die-cut the new Wood
Barrel Dies. For the barrel, I used Copic markers to create even more
dimension. I used C3, C5, and C7 for the metal bands. I used E30, E31, E34, and
E35 for the wood. For my background, I trimmed a piece of paper from the Joyful Holiday Paper Pack to 4"x5.25". I
adhered this paper to my A2 card base.
Now for the tricky part ... Getting my apples in the barrel! I played
around with them until I was happy with how they looked and then put 3D foam
squares behind them. I also propped up my barrel with 3D foam tape.
Once I had my card looking good, I could create my sentiments! I
used the new Punny Apple Greetings Stamp Set. I stamped
the sentiments on black card stock using a WOW! Embossing Pad. I
applied white embossing powder and then melted the powder with my heat
tool. I used a trimmer to cut the sentiments out and then applied
foam tape to the backs of them. I adhered them to my card and then
added some sequins for a little bit of extra fun!
I think my kiddo's teacher is going to love this card! I hope you
enjoyed my card and feel inspired to make something crafty yourself now!
Thanks for stopping by the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today! Hope you
have fun shopping the new goodies from the New
Release!
I started with a
white mini slimline card base that measures 3.25 inches wide by 6.25
inches tall. I added a panel of red Classic Gingham patterned paper that I trimmed down so there would be a 1/4
inch white border. I die cut three scalloped squares and adhered them to the
gingham panel. I used the smallest die in the Scalloped Square
2 large die setto create the squares.
I die cut all the
pieces needed to create 3 whole apples with the Crisp Apple dies. These were die cut from white card stock and then colored with ink and
small blending brushes. I blended the ink starting on the outside edges and
applying lighter going toward the center. That is how I get the highlighted
area in the center of the apple.
I used the tiny
blossom dies from the Strawberry
Patch setto make a few white flowers to add the card. I used the Brilliant
Banner 3dies to make a banner to stamp the "apple-solutely" word.
All the words used to complete the greeting and the smiley face are
included in the Punny
Apple Greeting set.
Hello Crafty Friends!
This is Hanh. I am so excited to
be back with my first post as a member of the Sunny Studio Stamps Design Team.
I am honored and beyond thrilled to have officially joined the team.
Autumn Greetings!
Today, my card features the gorgeous new Autumn Garland set.
This beautiful image is just perfect for the upcoming fall season. And the best
part ... a layered look without the need to layer or mask! I had so much fun
coloring up this one with all of the rich fall colors.
I stamped the image
from the Autumn Garland stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110
lb cardstock with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and used the coordinating Autumn Garland Dies to die cut it out. I colored it with Copic markers and accented
with a white gel pen.
COPIC COLORS: Pinecones:
E53/33/35/37/39/29 Pine needles: YG63/67 Green Leaves:
YG21/23/25 Yellow Leaves:
Y13/15/17/38 Orange Leaves: Y17/38
YR04 R24/27 Red Orange Leaves:
Y38 YR04 R24/27 Berries: Y38 YR04
R24/27/59
This is such a
beautiful image with so many intricate details that I wanted to keep the card
design clean and simple to give all of the attention to the garland. The
largest die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies was used to diecut the white panel. I stamped the word "Greetings" from the set directly onto the front panel
with Memento Rich Cocoa ink. I adhered a piece of craft foam to the backside of
the panel before adhering the panel to a piece of brown cardstock.
Next, I stamped the
word "Autumn" from the set with Versamark Watermark ink and gold heat
embossed it onto a piece of white cardstock. The coordinating die was used to
diecut the word "Autumn" and 2 additional blank die cuts, which I
then used to layer and adhere to the back of the embossed word to add a bit of
dimension and interest.
I adhered the garland
and "Autumn" onto the panel with liquid adhesive before adhering the
panel to a white A2 cardbase (4.25" x 5.5"). A few matching jewels
from the Bright Jewels Mix were
added to the card for a little sparkle.

Hello and welcome to the final day of our Holiday Sneak Peek Week! Each morning this week I have been showcasing projects using our newest fall & winter collections which are now available in our store!!!
Today I have the pleasure of celebrating our company's 9th birthday with all of you and our talented designers who are joining us for an inspirational blog hop with prizes at every stop and a special sale (more details below). Each milestone feels like such an accomplishment and I couldn't have made it this far without your sweet support. Thank you so much. ❤
Card No. 1:My first card features the Merry Mocha Stamps, I used the cute script greeting from the set with the coordinating dies. I paired the drink with an extra candy cane and gingerbread man from our Baking Spirits Bright Stamps and mounted them onto a scalloped mat cut using our Mini Mat & Tag 2 Dies. I layered a slightly smaller piece of green cardstock beneath to peek out behind the eyelet lace scallops and then mounted them onto a red and white snowflake print from our Joyful Holiday Paper pack.
Card No. 2:For thisMerry Mochacard, I started by cutting out my red striped, scalloped mat by combining the inside portion of our Frilly Frames Stripes Dies with the outside portion of our Frilly Frames Hexagon Dies. I then backed it with white cardstock and mounted it onto an A2-sized kraft cardstock panel. I then cut a Large Stitched Circle and mini gift tag from our Sweet Treats Gift Bag Dies, inking them both along the edges using Tea Dye Distress ink.
To create my grouping of three unique hot drinks, I paired the Merry Mocha mug with the cups and sugar cookie from our Mug Hugs Stamps. I then heat embossed the "warm wishes" greeting from our Alpaca Holiday Stamps, tying the tag with red baker's twine to slip around one of my mug handles and securing it on the back before adhering the mug to my card with foam tape.
Card No. 3:Up next is a card set featuring the same card design with the Merry Mocha Stamps in two different color palettes. For both cards, I started by adhering a small pale grey striped patterned paper to my background using a print from our Subtle Grey Tones Paper pack.
I then cut an elongated Scalloped Tag from Joyful Holiday tone-on-tone snowflake patterned papers using our Scalloped Square Tag Dies. To achieve this I partially cut the top portion of the tag while hanging the bottom portion of the die off the cutting plate, I then flipped the die over and hung the top half off my cutting plate, matching up the scallops and securing the die with washi tape to help me keep them straight. Once you've done this trick a couple times, it becomes super easy to do, looks like the die came that way, and really makes you look at your die stash with a fresh eye.
Card No. 4:Switching gears I have a few cards to share using our new Toasty Hugs Stamps featuring a new girl and boy bundled up for winter. I paired them with the new snowman from our Snowmen in Sweaters Stamps and the snowy neighborhood background from our Winter Scenes Stamps. For my sky, I blended a light amount of Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry, and Worn Lipstick distress inks before heat embossing the falling snow using our Frosty Flurries Stamps. For the stitched snowdrifts and banner to match the curve of my scene, I used our Slimline Nature Border Dies with our Fishtail Banner Dies.
Card No. 5: I had the idea that it would be cute to arrange the kids from our new Toasty Hugs Stamps with the kids from our retiring Eskimo Kisses Stamps to make them look like they are sort of holding hands around a world globe. To achieve this, I cut out my land mass using this Silhouette cut file HERE and then added the curved outside edge using our Slimline Nature Border Dies. For my miniature clouds, I used the two cloud dies that come with our Comic Strip Everyday Dies. I completed my card by heat embossing the greeting from our Holiday Express Stamps onto a red banner die-cut using our Brilliant Banner 2 Dies.
Please note: The new Toasty Hugs stamps and Eskimo Kisses stamps use the exact same dies so if you already have the dies for Eskimo Kisses, you can pick up the new Toasty Hugs stamps and use the same dies for both. Likewise, if you like this set and would like to pick up the Eskimo Kisses Stamps to add to your stash at the same time, those are still available at a discounted price in our store HERE while supplies last.
Card No. 6: For my last card of the day using the new Toasty Hugs StampsI colored my boy and girl pair all in red and white to look like Santa suits. I framed them with our Stitched Heart Dies and Scalloped Heart Dies. Before die-cutting my stitched heart though, I embossed the background using our new Buffalo Plaid Diagonal Dies and then inked the gingham print using our new Diagonal & Straight Stripes Stencils. Since I hated for any part of my background to go to waste, I positioned it so that I could save the outside to use for another card which I shared on Tuesday.
To create a tone-on-tone background to match, I inked up another cardstock panel with worn lipstick distress ink and stamped it with the polka-dot print from our Background Basics Stamps using Candied Apple distress ink (with a Misti tool so I could repeatedly stamp it until the dots were solid). I then die-cut it into a square using our Stitched Square Dies and mounted them onto a Scalloped Square 1 Small Die to form my card base. Lastly, I heat embossed the sentiment from the set using white detail embossing powder onto our Brilliant Banner 2 Dies which had been cut from red cardstock to match.
