Big Bold Greetings Cards with Marine and Waleska

Hello crafty friends, Marine here with you today, back with this fun and bright birthday slimline card showcasing some chubby tropical birds, as well as the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from Big Bold Greetings.

I started off by stamping my images on Transotype perfect coloring paper using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and Graph'it Brush markers. And as very often I picked the stamps from different sets to create a cute mix & match on my card. The birds are from Chickie Baby and are supposed to be chicks, but I turned them into tropical birds using turquoise shades, the butterflies are from Bunnyville, the leafy border is from Tropical Scenes, and the branch is from Little Birdie.

Next I created the background. I cut an 8,5 x 3,5 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel, and used one of my favorite color combos: squeezed lemonade, dried marigold, kitsch flamingo and picked raspberry oxide inks. This combination is versatile and can be used on any card for any theme, but I think it fits the tropical vibe quite nicely.

Once the ink blending was done, I used a birch tree stencil from my stash and the same oxide inks to emphasize the jungle look I wanted to give to my card, and then I attached the images on the panel using 1mm foam squares and 3mm glue dots.

I created my greeting in two parts, and attached them in the middle of my panel. I first gold heat embossed "Happy Birthday" from Big Bold Greetings on vellum, and cut those words using the coordinating die. And next I white heat embossed the phrase "You're one cool birdie" on a slim brown banner. The words "You're one cool" are from Chickie Baby, and the word "Birdie" is from Little Birdie.

Hi friends, Waleska here! If you love Pandas and Rainbows this card is for you! For my card today I used the Panda Party Stamps, the Big Bold Greetings and lots of colors!

I wanted to create a very colorful card having a contrasting color, in this case black, and to do that I used colorful backgrounds with black and white cute pandas. I started by cutting the Comic Strip Everyday Dies on white cardstock and coloring each of the panels with Oxide inks:Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet, I almost always like to add more interest to my inked pieces with water and sparkle watercolor. I adhere this pieces to the comic strip inspired die. I stamped and color all of the pandas, cupcakes and banners with copic markers and hand cut them.  

I stamped and cut with the coordinating die the sentiment Make a Wish from the Big Bold Greetings set and adhere all the cute pandas. I finally adhered this panel to a white card base and this card is done! Ready to wish happy birthday someone special. Thank you friends for stopping by today! Spring Fever Patterned Paper Focused Cards with Waleska and Marine

Hello Friends!!! Waleska here with you. I am just popping in today to share a super adorable card inspired on one of my favorite movies The Secret Life of Pets, have you seen it? is just so funny and cute with all the pets having an entire different life when their owners are not around.  For this card I used the Christmas Critters Stamp set, the Comic Strip Everyday dies and the Spring Fever Paper Pad.

I started creating this card by cutting the Comic Strip Everyday dies with white cardstock and cutting the curtains found on the the Wonderful Window dies from different patterns from the Spring Fever 6 x 6 paper pad I also used the Ribbon and Lace Dies. 

I then put the cloud pattern paper on the back of the comic strip die and started assemble the curtains, I wanted all the cute pets to be peeking from different windows. I then stamped and color a bunch of cats and dogs and adhered them to the windows I also added some little hearts because all this pets are loved by their owners.

I finally adhered this panel to a card base and added the sentiment from the Party Pups stamp set! How adorable are they? Thank you so much for stopping by today have a wonderful rest of your day!

Hello crafty friends, Marine here with you today! I'm so glad to be back on the blog with this pawesome pop-up card showcasing the most adorable dogs from Party Pups, as well as the new Spring Fever paper pack that I used to create my landscape.

I started off by stamping all the images on white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my alcohol markers. I picked all the dogs + birthday cake + balloons + party hats from Party Pups, as well as the chicken coop from Clucky Chickens to create a cute doghouse (the paw print I stamped on it comes from Party Pups) I went for neutral shades to color the dogs, and for rainbow colors to color the balloons & party hats to make the card even more festive.

Next I cut all the different elements to build the pop-up card. I cut the base pieces using kraft cardstock, and chose pattern papers to decorate the inside and outside: the grass paper + sky paper + yellow dotted paper are from the Spring Fever paper pack, and the red gingham paper is from the Joyful Holiday paper pack.

I white heat embossed my "Woofing you a happy birthday" greeting from Party Pups on the yellow dotted banner, and I added highlights & details on the images using a white gel pen. Next I assembled the different pieces and built the pop-up card, and then I attached the images on the grass border using 3mm glue dots.

Big Bold Greetings Cards with Marie and Catherine

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Marie here for another pop-up platform box project inspiration! I am a little obsessed with these pop - up boxes by Lawn Fawn because they are the perfect size for showcasing the small images in Sunny Studio's Stamp sets. Today's Birthday Platform Pop-up feature the Big Bold Greetings Stamp from their latest Spring 2023 release as well as their new Garden Critters Stamps.

I started off my card by stamping all my images from the Garden Critters Stamps with Antique Linen Distress ink onto watercolor paper. Using Faber Castell watercolor pencils, I colored all my images and cut them out using the Garden Critters Dies.  I then stamped my Big Bold Greeting sentiment onto Neenah Solar white 110lb cardstock using Seedless preserves Distress Oxide ink and cut out the sentiment using the corresponding Big Bold Greetings Dies.

Next step is to die cut all the pop-up platform components and ink blend the panels. For the background panel, I used a cloud stencil with Salvaged Patina Distress Ink. For all the grass panels, I ink blended them using Twisted Citron Distress Ink and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink. And finally the "dirt" was inked using Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Inks.

After Assembling my box, I decided to decorate the side panels of the base using the new Spring Fever Paper. I trimmed the paper and wrapped it around the box using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue. Then I positioned the Big Bold Happy Birthday sentiment in the middle of the box. To create the floating illusion, I placed sturdy acetate strips on either side and adhered it using double sided tape adhesive. I did the same to the adorable flying garden critters. Finally as a finishing touch, I added a small die cut heart in the center, and presto! Another super simple interactive pop-up card that's perfect for spring birthdays!! Hello Crafty Friends, Catherine here! I hope you everyone is having a good week so far.  Today, I am sharing a birthday card featuring Big Bold Greetings and the ever so cute Panda Party!

To start, I die cut a frame with confetti cardstock from Surprise Party using Comic Strip Everyday Dies. Next, I placed the frame over A2 white cardstock and gently traced the horizontal lines on the frame. I used the lines as a guide to ink blend the background. I removed the the frame and started ink blending my background working from bottom to top using Abandoned Coral, Squeezed Lemonade, and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Inks. I splattered water onto the background and added specks of orange, yellow and blue water color.

I stamped “Make a Wish” from Big Bold Greetings Stamp with Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with pink embossing powder. I then die cut the sentiment with the coordinating die Big Bold Greetings Dies.

I stamped the cute pandas from Panda Party, birthday cake from Make A Wish Stamps. I borrowed some presents from Happy Owlidays, balloons from Oceans of Joy, and the party hats from Party Pups. I die cut the images with the coordinating dies and colored them with Copic Markers listed in the link in my blog below.

I adhered the frame to the background of the card followed by all the images. I used foam tape for extra dimension.

Sneak Peek Week: Introducing Clucky Chickens Stamps + Video Overview

Hello and welcome to last day of our Spring Peek Week!  All this week I have been sharing cards showcasing our newest collection which is now available for purchase. Hooray!  However, before your run off to check it out, I hope you will join me for one last card share using our brand new Clucky Chickens Stamps. 

Card No. 1: This adorable farm themed stamp set can be colored to be used for Easter with colorful eggs in your basket or for everyday purposes like the birthday card I created here. The new chicks compliment their adorable chicken friends from our previously released Farm Fresh Stamps which I included one of in the top right corner of my card. To frame each of my little scenes I cut out our Comic Strip Everyday Dies from a red gingham print from our Classic Gingham Paper pack. To create the look of straw, I trimmed several thin strips of cardstock with my paper trimmer and then used my scissors to cut them into shorter sections. I added thin 1/8" wide strips of double sided tape to the back of my frame and quickly pressed the little bits of cardstock "straw" to the frame. I then backed it with the stitched slopes from our Slimline Nature Border Dies and inked up my card base with some tumbled glass distress ink before add the panel to my card front. Since this isn't an Easter card, I kept my basket of eggs eggshell colored and colored it with a big red bow. Lastly I added 4 little red hearts from our Basic Mini Shape 2 Dies, adding Glossy Accents over the top and setting my card aside to dry. I love when I can make oodles of epoxy shapes for a fraction of the cost!

Card No. 2: For my second card I created a fun Mother's Day card by combining the new hen house and roosting box from our new Clucky Chickens Stamps with the barn border scene and two chickens from our Farm Fresh Stamps. I used the yellow and green prints from our Classic Sunburst Paper packs for my sunrise sky and ground, coloring the white space around my barn and fence die-cut with a yellow Copic Marker to blend with the background. Lastly I stamped my punny "So clucky to have you as my Mom" greeting in Gina K. Red Hot Ink on a stitched pennant strip from our Slimline Pennant Dies and added two small hearts from our Basic Mini Shape 2 Dies.

Card No. 3: I'm a sucker for gingham, especially red gingham which my closet is proof of. I knew when I included this print with our Joyful Holiday Paper pack it would be a print I would be hoarding for years to come. With this in mind and in my effort to keep more of it for a future project, I cutout the center using our Stitched Arch Dies as a window. I backed the window with grass which I cut using our Picket Fence Dies and inked with rustic wilderness distress ink. I then inked the front of my card base with some tumbled glass distress ink and adhered the frame with grass over the top. I colored my chickens and hen house from the Clucky Chick Stamps with Copic Markers, adding a little detail with my markers to look like a natural woodgrain on the house. I adore this punny greeting for a new expectant Mom which I heat embossed onto a red stitched strip cutout using our Ribbon & Lace Border Dies.

Card No. 4: Up next is a slimline style card where I lined up three of the hen houses from our new Clucky Chicken Stamps for a fun slimline style card. I chose to keep this one clean and simple, utilizing the stitched rectangle in our Slimline Scalloped Frame Dies. However, the die felt a bit too long for my scene so I shortened it to 7-1/8" long by letting half the die fall off my cutting plate and running it through my die-cutting machine a second time by letting the other side of the die fall off the cutting plate. The finished card ended up measuring 7-5/8" wide x 3.25" high.

The coordinating Clucky Chicken Dies have the cutout for the hen house door as a separate, optional die so in instances where you don't plan to have a large chicken peeking out you can forgo cutting it out like I did for the red hen house in my card. I really love that versatility! I stamped my punny "good cluck!" greeting onto a speech bubble from our Comic Strip Speech Bubble Dies using my favorite VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

Card No. 5: Switching gears, I have an Easter card using the basket of eggs, chicks and individual egg images from the Clucky Chickens Stamps which I combined with the bunnies and greeting from our Bunnyville Stamps. To frame the sentiment I used our Stitched Arch Dies, layering papers from our Dots & Stripes Pastels Paper pack and the blue floral print from our Spring Fever Paper pack. As a backdrop for my little scene, I added a Scalloped Fence and a grassy border with our Picket Fence Dies. When my card was "done" it was feeling unbalanced with all the visually heavy elements grouped at the bottom so I added some white fluffy clouds using the Plane Awesome Dies.

Card No. 6: For my last card of the day I combined the chicks, roosting box, individual eggs, tufts of grass and large basket of eggs from the new Clucky Chickens Stamps with the Chicks from our Chickie Baby Stamps, two Easter baskets and "Happy Easter" banner from our Chubby Bunny Stamps and the box of straw from our Farm Fresh Stamps. I wanted to combine all these elements to create the look of an Easter egg hunt and since they were all different sizes I tried to arrange the largest items near the bottom of my card to appear as if they are closest to the viewer and added the smaller baskets and eggs near the top to feel like they are further back and diminishing in size. 

For my "grass" background I used a green tone-on-tone polka-dot print from our new Spring Fever Paper pack and then trimmed down the sides with the stitched edge die from our new slimline length Ribbon & Lace Border Dies. I then added colorful rainbow gingham strips to either side of my panel (also from the Spring Fever Paper pack) and layered a small white scalloped border between them from our Slimline Basic Border Dies to create a little visual division between the two patterned papers.
