Roly Poly Penguins Card with Nicky

Hello friends, this is Nicky with you again today on the Sunny blog and I'm sharing another card using the lovely Roly Poly Penguins stamp set. Please read on for all the details.

To create the card I first die cut a white A2 panel of cardstock using the Buffalo Plaid Straight Die. I then layered the straight stencil from the Diagonal & Straight Stripes Stencil 2 pack over the panel and ink blended in both directions using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. I trimmed the panel down a fraction in my paper trimmer, backed it with white craft foam and applied it to an A2 card base.

I used the Slimline Nature Borders Die to create the two banks of snow at the base and applied them with glue. The large sentiment was stamped with Cotton Candy Ink by The Stamp Market and die cut with the coordinating die. I added little pieces of foam tape to the back and then adhered it into the buffalo plaid sky.

I stamped those gorgeous Roly Poly Penguins with black ink and coloured with the following Copic markers: 

Penguins - T7, T6, T5, C3, C1, C0, YR04, Y38
Pink - R85, R83, R81
White - C3, C1, C0

The images were die cut using the coordinating Roly Poly Penguins Die and applied with foam tape.

To finish things up, I die cut several snowflakes using dies included in the handy dandy Basic Mini Shape Dies Sets 1-4 collection. I glued the flakes in place then highlighted the penguins and Holiday Greetings sentiment with a white gel pen and with that this card was complete!

Buffalo Plaid Die Focused Cards with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm so happy to be back on the blog with this trio of colorful Thank You cards showcasing the Buffalo Plaid Straight die and Buffalo Plaid Diagonal die. I used the cute turkeys from Turkey Day only one time last year, so I thought it would be nice to bring them back during this year's autumn season. And as you may already know, I looove to stamp and color images on kraft cardstock, especially on fall cards, so these cards were another occasion for me to have some fun, and I hope these will inspire you to try to do some coloring on kraft, if you haven't already.

And speaking of which, I started off by stamping my images on kraft cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and Graph'it brush markers using a red, orange, yellow, green and brown color palette.

Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Turkey Day - turkeys, pumpkins, cup, leaves, slice of pie • Beautiful Autumn - oak leaf, acorn • Fall Friends - acorn • Happy Harvest - sunflowers.

Next I cut three panels out of kraft cardstock using the Mini Mat & Tag 4 die, and I stenciled them using the Diagonal & Straight Stripes stencils along with a different color palette for each panel. On the first panel, I used vintage photo, fossilized amber and peeled paint oxide inks. On the second panel, I used fossilized amber, rusty hinge and lumberjack plaid oxide inks. And on the third panel, I used vintage photo, lumberjack plaid and rusty hinge oxide inks. I mixed some ground espresso oxide ink with water and used a slim brush to add splatters on my panels, and I did the same with copic opaque white ink.

I cut three 4,5 x 3,25 inches Stitched Rectangles out of dark brown cardstock, and attached a panel on each dark brown panel using 1mm foam squares, and then each panel on a 5 x 3,75 inches Gingham Jewel Tones panel using liquid glue.

I attached my images on each panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, added highlights and details using a white gel pen, tied some twine at the bottom of each panel, right below the images, and then worked on the greetings. I stamped three different sentiments from Words Of Gratitude on brown cardstock using black versafine ink, and trimmed them into slim banners. Next I white heat embossed "Thanks" from Big Bold Greetings three times on dark brown cardstock, cut them using the matching die, and then attached all those pieces of my cards using 1mm and 2mm foam squares again.

Brilliant Banner 4 Die Focused Card with Tina

Hello crafters, I am Tina and today we are making a fun holiday card using the Brilliant Banner 4 die and a happy bunch of Roly Poly Penguins! These guys are the best, I love their sweet little outfits and personalities!

My background consist of a white panel cut with the outer die of the Frilly Frames Chevron set and embossed by using the Lots of Dots embossing folder. This piece was glued to a white card base.

For the focal point I created a Stitched Semi Circle and inked this shape with Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry and a cloud stencil from my stash. The same semi-circle was made from glitter card stock, so I could add a snowbank for my penguins. I mounted this layer to the dotted background with foam tape.

After selecting three adorable cuties (Roly Poly Penguins) and some gifts, letters ,candy canes and coffee mugs, I colored all the stamped images with Copic markers in pink, gray and green shades.

Next, I cut the Brilliant Banner 4 from white card stock, and stamped a combined sentiment (Santa Claus Lane) in a green ink from my stash. I love how well this banner works with the shape of the semi-circle die!

After playing around with the placement for the penguins and their accessories, I adhered all the elements in place with glue or foam tape. Of course, I added snow with a white gel pen! And to create an even more wintery look, I sprinkled a bunch of Pure White Jewels between the pink clouds.

Snowmen in Sweaters Gift Tags with Alma

Hello everyone, Alma here. November is here, and it's time to dive into Christmas crafting. Gift tags are always super important to me because they add a personal touch, even to small treats like homemade cookies. This time, I chose the Mini Mat & Tag 4 Dies since I really love the delicate lace detail along the bottom edge of the tag. 

Have you browsed through the beautiful patterned papers from Sunny Studio Stamps? I love the bright colors, and there’s something wonderful for every season. For my tags, I picked the Joyful Holiday paper and went for similar plaid patterns in green and red. Then, I die-cut the tag elements in different colors and patterns. I like it when a set looks cohesive but still makes each tag unique.

One important tip: I love writing little messages on the back of each tag, so to make them sturdier, I cut out a second tag and glued it to the back. For the images, I chose the adorable snowmen from the Snowmen in Sweaters Stamps set, then colored the snowmen and trees and die-cut them using the Snowmen in Sweaters Dies.

Afterward, I glued everything together, and finally stamped the Warmest Wishes greeting from the Holiday Hugs Stamps in olive green on the tags. Of course, a bit of ribbon and decoration at the end is a must!
