Brilliant Banner 4 Die Focused Card with Tina

Hello crafters, I am Tina and today we are making a fun holiday card using the Brilliant Banner 4 die and a happy bunch of Roly Poly Penguins! These guys are the best, I love their sweet little outfits and personalities!

My background consist of a white panel cut with the outer die of the Frilly Frames Chevron set and embossed by using the Lots of Dots embossing folder. This piece was glued to a white card base.

For the focal point I created a Stitched Semi Circle and inked this shape with Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry and a cloud stencil from my stash. The same semi-circle was made from glitter card stock, so I could add a snowbank for my penguins. I mounted this layer to the dotted background with foam tape.

After selecting three adorable cuties (Roly Poly Penguins) and some gifts, letters ,candy canes and coffee mugs, I colored all the stamped images with Copic markers in pink, gray and green shades.

Next, I cut the Brilliant Banner 4 from white card stock, and stamped a combined sentiment (Santa Claus Lane) in a green ink from my stash. I love how well this banner works with the shape of the semi-circle die!

After playing around with the placement for the penguins and their accessories, I adhered all the elements in place with glue or foam tape. Of course, I added snow with a white gel pen! And to create an even more wintery look, I sprinkled a bunch of Pure White Jewels between the pink clouds.

Snowmen in Sweaters Gift Tags with Alma

Hello everyone, Alma here. November is here, and it's time to dive into Christmas crafting. Gift tags are always super important to me because they add a personal touch, even to small treats like homemade cookies. This time, I chose the Mini Mat & Tag 4 Dies since I really love the delicate lace detail along the bottom edge of the tag. 

Have you browsed through the beautiful patterned papers from Sunny Studio Stamps? I love the bright colors, and there’s something wonderful for every season. For my tags, I picked the Joyful Holiday paper and went for similar plaid patterns in green and red. Then, I die-cut the tag elements in different colors and patterns. I like it when a set looks cohesive but still makes each tag unique.

One important tip: I love writing little messages on the back of each tag, so to make them sturdier, I cut out a second tag and glued it to the back. For the images, I chose the adorable snowmen from the Snowmen in Sweaters Stamps set, then colored the snowmen and trees and die-cut them using the Snowmen in Sweaters Dies.

Afterward, I glued everything together, and finally stamped the Warmest Wishes greeting from the Holiday Hugs Stamps in olive green on the tags. Of course, a bit of ribbon and decoration at the end is a must!

Toasty Hugs Card with Leanne

Hello everyone! Leanne here. Today's card features adorable images from the Toasty Hugs Stamp Set. I've made a 4.75 inch square card to house a little snow globe with these winter cuties all bundled up and ready to play in the snow. 

Here are the Sunny Studio supplies needed to recreate this card design:

• Toasty Hugs stamps - for boy & girl images plus the sentiment
• Snowmen in Sweaters stamps - for tree images
• Stitched Semi-circle dies - for globe dome
• Woolen Mitten dies - mitten cuff die for globe base
• Snowflake Circle Frame dies - for snowflakes 
• Scalloped Squares 2 small dies - largest in the set for white scalloped mat
• Stitched Square dies - for square mat

I used the middle size Stitched Semi-circle dies for the globe part of my snow globe. I die cut it from white card stock then blended on the aqua blue ink. I splattered with thinned white paint to give it the snowy look. I then hand cut a little snow drift to layer onto the bottom of the semi-circle. I used the mitten cuff die to create the base with silver glitter card stock. I adhered the Copic colored images and stamped the sentiment. To complete the snow globe, I tied some twine around the base and added a few snowflakes for embellishment. 

Here are the Copic colors I used on the stamped images: pink - R30, R22; light green - G40, G43; dark green on trees - G43, G46; shading on white areas - C1, C3; brown - E41, E42, E44; flesh tone - E000, E00, E21

If square card formats aren't your thing, this snow globe certainly can be used on an A2 size card instead. You'll have more space at the top of the card so just fill in with more snowflakes.

Straight Stripes Stencil Focused Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today sharing a sweet Christmas card featuring the Diagonal & Straight Stripes Stencils. I used the stencil to create a bold holiday background for my penguin tag. 

For the background, I took a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock (4.25" x 5.5") and used the Diagonal & Straight Stripes Stencils with some Candied Apple Distress ink to create a striped pattern. Once the ink was dried, I shifted the stencil slightly a half of a stripe's width to the right. To create the peppermint pattern, I used the stencil as a guide to draw in thin stripes in between the red stripes with a green Ultra Fine Sharpie marker. I loved how I was able to create my own festive patterned paper. I trimmed the panel down to 4" x 5.25" to eliminate any messy edges.

I used the larger die from the Scallop Tag Square Dies to diecut the tag out of the Neenah Solar White cardstock. I masked off the scalloped edges of the tag die and lightly inked the edges with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink. 

The Woolen Mitten Die Set was used to diecut some holly leaves and berries out of green and red cardstock.

I stamped the penguin from the Roly Poly Penguins Stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Roly Poly Penguins Dies to it out. I colored him with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Penguins: T3/5/7/9, W00/0, Y38 YR04, R00/20
Red: R22/24/27/29/39
White: C00/1/3

For the sentiment, I stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Holiday Greetings Stamps set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder. I used the coordinating Holiday Greetings Dies to diecut it out.

I adhered all of the holly, sentiment and penguin to the tag with a combo of liquid adhesive and foam tape for a bit of dimension. I used a white gel pen to add highlights to the elements. The striped panel was adhered to a top folding white cardbase (4.25" x 5.5"). I adhered the tag  onto the card front with foam tape.
