Wonky Windows Card with Kavya

Hi folks, Kavya here. I am back on the blog with another fun project. I love it when I get a chance to give some old stamps some love! Today, I decided to pull one of the oldest stamps in my stash - Tropical Paradise.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Wonky Windows Summer Shaker Card by Kavya (featuring Tropical Paradise)

I first started off by ink blending my background by using Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold for one panel and Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio for the second panel. I then diecut the top panel using Wonky Windows

I created a shaker element by using foam and some sequins that I already had in my stash. I stamped and colored a bunch of images from Tropical Paradise and sprinkled them around the framed shaker card base. I added a sentiment and I was done!

I hope you liked this fun project ;) Happy Crafting!

Wonky Windows Cards with Marieke and Marine

Hello Sunny Studio Friends. Marieke here, and for today's post I decided on making a mini slimline shaker Mother’s Day card. On May the 8th in the Netherlands we celebrated Mother’s Day and this card I gave to my mom.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Wonky Window Die Focused Tropical Themed Card by Marieke Slaats (featuring Fabulous Flamingos, Sending Sunshine)

On a 6 3/4 x 2 3/4 inch rectangle I ink blended Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers Distress ink. Splattered some water, Peacock Feathers and white paint onto it and cut the Wonky Window die out of it.

Cut a white rectangle in the same size and temporarily added the outside frame onto it. Adhered the die cut parts onto the white rectangle and glued a piece of acetate behind the frame. Filled up the shaker using Crystal Clear Jewels.

Stamped the images out of the Fabulous Flamingo and Sending Sunshine stamps. Colored them up and cut them using my scissors. Die cut the word mom out of yellow cardstock and added some white gel pen details onto the letters and images.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Wonky Window Die Focused Tropical Themed Card by Marieke Slaats (featuring Fabulous Flamingos, Sending Sunshine)

Used Copic Colors:
Flamingo - RV13, RV42, R01, R00 / C5,C3,C1,0 / Y13, Y11
Green - YG67, YG63, YG03, YG01
Yellow - Y17, Y15, Y13, Y11Brown - E47, E44, E43, E42

Stamped the sentiment on some white cardstock, trimmed it down to a small banner. Heat set the sentiment on some black cardstock and cut it using my scissors. Adhered all the images onto the card using foam tape.

----------------------------------------------

Hey crafty friends, Marine here, so happy to be back on the blog with this bright and cute underwater card showcasing the new Wonky Windows die. When I saw this new die from Summer release, I immediately thought of making a shaker card with it, so here we go!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Wonky Window Die Focused Tropical Themed Card by Marine Simon (featuring Fintastic Friends, Best Fishes)

I stamped the images first using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and then colored everything using my alcohol markers. We have underwater critters and seaweeds from Fintastic Friends and from Best Fishes, I also picked the small rocks from Savanna Safari, and the grass sprigs from Bunnyville to make more seaweeds.

Next I created my underwater panel. I cut a 5,5 x 4,25" bristol panel and used four oxide inks to make it, from bottom to top: salvaged patina, peacock feathers, ribbon prize and a teeny tiny bit of black soot.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Wonky Window Die Focused Tropical Themed Card by Marine Simon (featuring Fintastic Friends, Best Fishes)

Once my underwater panel was dry, I used the Wonky Windows die to cut six openings out of it. I taped the die on one half of the panel, and sent it to my die cutting machine. I kept the inside pieces in the same order and set them aside, and I did the same thing on the other half of the panel. I flipped the die so that the bottom windows wouldn't be the same as the ones at the top and taped the die to the paper, and I sent it to my die cutting machine to cut three more openings and this way get a 3 x 2 grid.

Next I temporarily taped my six window panel to a card base, and I attached the inside pieces on the matching window.

I removed the six window panel, and then created the shaker. I stuck a piece of clear acetate at the back of the panel, also added foam strips at the back to divide the six windows and make room for the shaker accessories, and before adding those shaker accessories, I just added powder inside the six windows, all along the edges, this way the jewels won't stick to the foam.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Wonky Window Die Focused Tropical Themed Card by Marine Simon (featuring Fintastic Friends, Best Fishes)

I cleaned the acetate using a microfiber cloth to remove the powder excess, I added a few clear jewels on each inside piece, and I finally attached my six window panel on top of the card base to totally close and complete my underwater shaker panel. And next I stuck all my cute images using glue dots mostly, and also foam squares at some places.

The last thing I did was create the sentiment. I didn't want it to cover too much of the images, so I went with vellum. I white heat embossed the banner from
Little Birdie, and inside that banner I also white heat embossed "You're fintastic", I used the coordinating die to cut that banner that I finally attached in the middle of the card using three tiny dots of liquid glue.

And that's it! Super cute and super bright, love those new critters from Fintastic Friends, especially the manta, she's so gorgeous! As always I leave you with the video (click on the image above!), don't hesitate to watch it for more information about the card! Thanks for stopping by, and see you next week!

Hello Sunny Studio friends friends. It’s Bobbi here with a fun carnival card using the new stamp set, Country Carnival. This set is filled with all the fun a carnival offers including a merry-go-round, Ferris wheel, big tent and more.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Country Carnival Card by Bobbi Lemanski

My card measures 5″ X 7″ in size. I stamped, colored and die cut the elements from the set with the coordinating dies. I used the following Copic marker colors to color in the images:

Blues: B26, B05, B02, and B00
Reds: R89, R29, R24, R17, and R14
Yellows: Y38, Y28, Y26, Y18, Y15, and Y06
Browns: E57, E55, E43
Grays: C5, C3, C1

On the bottom half of the front panel, I added 3/4″ wide strips of blue pattern paper from the
Dots and Stripes Jewel Tones paper pack and 80lb Neenah white cardstock. I alternated the pattern designs. I stamped the “Enjoy the ride” phrase on the upper white strip.

All of the colored die cut elements were attached to the card front, with some of the smaller ones trailing down towards the phrase. I used Scrapbook Adhesive foam tabs to attach the big tent, Ferris wheel, popcorn cart and ticket office for dimension. Little bears from the set were added to the carnival scene to finish the card.

Hi Friends! Catherine here today sharing a fun carnival tent card created with the adorable Country Carnival set!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Country Carnival Card by Catherine Cohen (featuring Slimline Dies, Balloon Rides, Icing Border Dies, Wonky Window Dies)

To start, I cut a piece of white cardstock 6.6”W x 3.3”H. I scored vertical lines measuring from 1.65” from the left and right hand side of the cardstock. The two score lines will form the two front flaps. To make room for the triangle top, I made a vertical incision 0.3” from the top of the cardstock along each of the two score lines and trimmed horizontally across each of the front flaps.

For the top of the tent, I used a ruler and drew a triangle 4.3” W x 2”H on white cardstock and I fussy cut the triangle out. I repeated this using cardstock from Heroic Halftones Paper Pack but shortened the height of the triangle to 1.8”H in order to have a border. I die cut cardstock from Striped Silly Paper Pack using Icing Borders to make the bunting. I also used cardstock from the same paper pack to die cut the flag using the bunting piece from Wonky Windows.

I cut two rectangles 1.65”W x 3”H out of the same cardstock from Heroic Halftones Paper Pack and adhere it to the outside of the front flaps. For the tent curtains, I drew and fussy cut two triangular shapes out of the Striped Silly Paper Pack and white cardstock.

For the inside of the card, I inked the sky with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide. For the grass, I used Slimline Nature Borders and ink blended with Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron. I mirror imaged stamped some of the cute bears. I colored the bears, ferris wheel, ticket booth, and popcorn cart with Copic markers from the Country Carnival Stamps and die cut using the coordinating dies, Country Carnival Dies. I added some clouds and sun from Balloon Rides, and white heat embossed the sentiments. I added a card wrap by white heat embossing balloons onto a strip of vellum 8.5”W x.9”H.

Summer Greenery Die Focused Cards with Gladys and Alma

Hello everyone! Gladys here and I'm back with an adorable mini slimline card using new dies from the release called Summer Greenery which I combined with an oldie but goodie stamp set called Silly Sloth.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Summer Greenery Die Focused Card by Gladys Marcelino (featuring Silly Sloths, Wonky Window Dies)

To start I used two of the leaves from the Summer Greenery dies to cut from green cardstock. I inked the center with lucky clover distress oxide to add dimension. I also added white speckles with a fan brush. For the card panel I used a mini slimline die measuring 6 3/4" x 3 1/4" which is cut from Bristol Smooth cardstock. I used cracked pistachio and peacock feathers, starting from the center then out toward the edge of the panel. For more interest, I used a fan brush to add water droplets and diluted white paint. Once it was dry I used the Wonky Window dies to cut the panel.

Next I stamped the Silly Sloths on 110lb cardstock and colored them with copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Every now and then I love to combine old sets with new to give them some love. I know for me I’m tempted to get the new release and sometimes I forget the sets I already own. Lately I have been looking through my stash and enjoy playing with sets I haven't used in awhile. I hope this card will inspire you to do that too!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Summer Greenery Die Focused Card by Gladys Marcelino (featuring Silly Sloths, Wonky Window Dies)

Once all the elements was ready, it was time to assemble the card. Since I had the three Wonky Windows I decided it would be fun to create a shaker element. First I cut another panel from brown cardstock. I purposely wanted a slightly bigger panel to give an even border. I inlaid the negative pieces from the windows onto the brown cardstock. I filled each of the windows with sequins then I backed the inked panel with clear acetate and double sided foam tape. I carefully lined up the windows and adhered both panels together.  I arranged the greenery and critters and used liquid glue to adhere them down. For the sentiment I white heat embossed on red cardstock for a pop of color! Aren't these sloths just the sweetest?

That is all for me. Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day!!

---------------------------------------------

Here is Alma and today I want to show you a swing card. The spotlight of my card is on the new Summer Greenery Dies set and I'm amazed at how versatile it can be used.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Summer Greenery Die Focused Card by Alma Störk (featuring Tropical Paradise)

First I cut out a circle in kraft paper and folded it in half. So you already have the card blank ready. Then I punched out the leaves from the Summer Greenery Dies and spread them on the folded circle. Afterwards I wiped the “sand” of the circle with Distress Inks “Vintage Foto”, “Walnut Stain” and “Tea Dye”. I removed the leaves that have been put on and the leaves look like tracks in the sand.

Then I punched out the  leaves on cardstock and colored them in several shades of green with Copics. I glued the leaves to the upper edge of the swing card to create a 3D effect.

To finish, I stamped, colored and mounted the flamingos from the
Tropical Paradise Stamps set onto the card and stamped the text "soak up the sun" from the same set.

Wonky Windows Cards with Bobbi and Catherine

Hi there. It's Bobbi Lemanski here sharing another card featuring the new Wonky Windows die set. This set will quickly be one of my staples because not only do you get these fun-shaped windows, but also three uniquely shaped pennants to dress up your cards. Today, I paired the cute windows with that yummy Cupcake Shaped Die set we all love. On the outside, this card teases a little with some treat tidbits. When the card is opened, a big cupcake with all the fixings is waiting for the birthday celebration!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Wonky Window Die Focused Card by Bobbi Lemanski (featuring Cupcake Shaped Dies, Inside Greetings Congrats)

To make this 5" X 7" card, I cut the card base at 10" wide X 7" tall and scored down the center.  I also cut the front panel measuring 5" X 7".  I used Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for all the pieces. I die cut two rows of the wonky windows on a diagonal for interest. The Wonky Windows die cuts all three windows at once which makes it easy to use.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Wonky Window Die Focused Card by Bobbi Lemanski (featuring Cupcake Shaped Dies, Inside Greetings Congrats)

For the front panel, I splattered black watercolor paint and added some red specks using a marker. I used a fine-tip black marker and added faux double stitching around each window. I added grey tones Subtle Grey Tones pattern paper to the back of the windows and attached it in place. Next, I added lots of fun bits from the Cupcake Shape Dies set. Two cherries, two candles, two hearts, small confetti, and the pennants from the Wonky Windows set were added to the windows. I used Ranger Distress Oxide Inks in Mermaid Lagoon, Carved Pumpkin, and Worn Lipstick to color the banners, pennants, and hearts. I list the Copic colors I used for the other colored elements below. I added Red Zircon JewelsBlue Topaz JewelsOrange Topaz Jewels and some enamel gem stickers to the windows. I stamped the phrase in the lower right corner.

Inside the card, I added the elements of the Cupcake Shape Dies and colored them using the following Copics. These are the same colors I used on the front panel.

  • Blue/Greens: B49, B23, BG11
  • Reds: R46, R29, R24, R17, R14, R22, R20
  • Browns: E59, E57, E55
  • Yellows: Y38, Y19, Y15, Y13
  • Oranges: YR68, YR65, YR61, YR04
  • Greens: YG67, YG03 (front panel cherry stems)
Sunny Studio Stamps: Wonky Window Die Focused Card by Bobbi Lemanski (featuring Cupcake Shaped Dies, Inside Greetings Congrats)

Notice that I cut the candles and the white heart at slants at the bottom edges to make them look like they are inserted into the frosting. I used a white gel pen and red marker to add some frosting texture. I added fun details like the cute pennants from the
Wonky Windows set to the cupcake. I used a fine-tip black marker to "connect" the pennants around the cake. I used the Kiddie Pool stamp set for the
"It's your birthday/Day" phrasesLastly, I stamped the phrase, "you deserve this", taken from the Inside Greetings Congrats stamp set, at the bottom to finish the card. This card fits inside an A7 size envelope for giving.

Hi Friends! It’s Catherine here sharing a fun underwater card featuring the new Wonky Windows Die

Sunny Studio Stamps: Wonky Window Die Focused Card by Catherine Cohen (featuring Fintastic Friends, Kiddie Pool, Tropical Scenes)

For the foreground, I die cut the Wonky Windows Frame onto white cardstock 4.25” x 5.5”.  I ink blended the cardstock from the outside working my way towards the center of the card starting with Blueprint Sketch followed by Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks. I then sprayed water onto the card and left it to dry.

For the background, I ink blended the top half of another piece of white cardstock of the same size with Chipped Sapphire and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Inks and I sprayed water onto the card. Once the foreground was dry, I white heat embossed the sentiment and air bubbles onto the card.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Wonky Window Die Focused Card by Catherine Cohen (featuring Fintastic Friends, Kiddie Pool, Tropical Scenes)

I stamped images pulled from the Fintastic Friends, Tropical Scenes, and Kiddie Pool sets. I colored the sea animals, divers, sea plants, and coral bed with Copic markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. I marked the framed area on the background and glued on the sea plants. I then attached the frame onto the background with foam tape. I finished off the card by adding the cute sea animals, divers, and coral bed.
