Cherry Blossoms Cards with Audrey and Vanessa

Hello friends! Audrey here! Today, I have a card to share with you using the Cherry Blossoms stamp set. 

To create this card, I started off with a piece of watercolor paper cut to 4" x 5.25". I used Worn Lipstick Distress ink to watercolor a drippy background on the panel, concentrating most of the color at the top, then I tipped the panel on end and allowed the color to run down the panel a bit. When I was happy with the placement, I hit it with my heat tool to dry the watercolor and leave hard edges. Then, I added a splattering of black watercolor. I stamped several of the Cherry Blossoms in shades of pink and coral and die cut them with the coordinating Cherry Blossoms dies. I arranged them at the top of the panel and glued some down with a glue pen and popped others up with foam tape. 

I stamped a sentiment from the Lovey Dovey stamp set in black ink and diecut it with the coordinating Lovey Dovey dies. I popped the sentiment up with foam tape, then popped the panel up on an A2 card base. I added a strip of black and white washi tape to the left edge of the card base, and added Onyx Black Crystals to the front most flower centers. Finally, I added some white gel pen accents to each of the blooms.

Hello to you! Vanessa here with a spring card using the beautiful Cherry Blossoms set.

I stamped the images onto white cardstock and die-cut the pieces with the matching dies. Now I arranged a part of the elements onto the front of my white card base and covered this with a panel of light blue vellum. Then I adhered the remaining die-cuts, using foam-tape for more dimension. I added a pink bow to the branch and finished the card off with the "thank you" die-cut from white cardstock.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Cherry Blossoms Cards with Dana Kirby

Hi friends! It's Dana here today and I am so excited to be a guest designer for Sunny Studio Stamps. The New Spring Release is packed full of so many amazing new products. There is so much to love and something for everyone. I have two cards to share today that use the gorgeous new Cherry Blossoms set. 

For my first card, I started by die cutting all of my floral images with the Cherry Blossoms die set. I then used my stamping tool and the Cherry Blossoms stamp set to do all of my stamping. Each layer has an alphanumeric marking to help guide your stamping.  Once I had everything lined up it was easy to stamp multiples. With my flowers, I didn't stamp the "a" layer. This allowed my florals to have a little white showing through and my colors to be a little softer. 

For my card panel, I trimmed down a piece of pattern paper from the Polka Dot Parade paper pack and attached it to an A2 card base. I then stamped my sentiment (also from the Cherry Blossoms stamp set) onto a die cut circle and attached it to the middle of my panel. Lastly, I attached my florals and added a few clear sequins to finish my card.

For my second card, I once again used the Cherry Blossoms stamp and die set to stamp all of my floral images. Next, I used the Out on a Limb die to create my branch. I attached the branch to the center of a panel that had been ink blended with a soft aqua ink. I then attached the florals to the branch and tucked in a few leaves.

To finish my card I added my sentiment and a few birds from the Little Birdie stamp set. I think these little birds are so sweet and I love how they coordinate with the flowers.

Cherry Blossoms Cards with Isha and Kavya

Hello everyone! Isha today with a CAS floral card featuring the pretty layering florals from the Cherry Blossom stamps and dies. 

Even though it's a layering stamp set, I didn't use the layers. Instead, I used the 3rd layer and stamped the florals onto watercolor cardstock using versamark ink, emboss using white embossing powder and heat set. Add color using watercolors. Stamp the leaves using two shades of green inks.Die-cut the flowers and leaves using the coordinating dies.

Die-cut a circle using the Stitched Circle Small die from white cardstock. Die-cut the inside of the Quatrefoil  from the Frilly Frames Quatrefoil and adhere it behind the circle piece. 

Take a white cardbase and softly sponge salty ocean distress ink in the place for the circle opening. Adhere the layer to the card. Adhere the florals and leaves as per the liking.

Die-cut the word THANK You from the Slimline Scalloped Frame dies using black and white cardstock. Adhere the black words behind the white slight offset.  Adhere to the card.

HI folks, Kavya here. I am back on the blog with another fun project! Visiting Mount Fuji in Japan is one of the top items on my bucket list. When I saw the new Cherry Blossoms stamp set, I knew I had to recreate the beautiful travel posters I would see from time to time. This card does use some basic shapes that can be cut without a die.

I first started off by creating the mountains and the bright red sun by cutting triangles and a circle out of cardstock. I then in blended the edges and added some details using paint splatters and a white gel pen. Then, for the sky, I ink blended using Tumbled Glass and Milled Lavender distress oxide inks. For the water, I ink blended mint cardstock using Peacock Feathers distress oxide ink. 

Later, I stamped a bunch of Cherry Blossoms using the Cherry Blossom stamp set and arranged them based on a previous card created by Mendi. I used the Out on a Limb die as a branch for the cherry blossoms. Finally, I finished off the card by adding a die cut sentiment using the Hello Word Die.

Out On A Limb Cards with Gladys and Franci

Hello friends! Gladys here sharing a card featuring Out on a Limb die which goes well with the Cherry Blossoms layering stamp set.

First, I die cut the Quilted Hearts Portrait die from light blue cardstock and glued this on top of pink cardstock to add color to the hearts.

Then I stamped several flowers from the Cherry Blossom set using Altenew inks in the colors pink diamond and pinkalicious. For the green I used Lawn Fawn ink in celery stick. I wanted the white to show through so I skipped the solid stamp for the bigger flowers. Once I was done stamping I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

Next I used the Out on a Limb die to cut the branch from woodgrain cardstock and the leaves from green cardstock. I arranged the flowers on the branch and adhered them with liquid glue and double sided foam tape to give dimension. I used the leaves to fill in the branches and tucked them behind the flowers.

For the sentiment I white heat embossed “Thinking of You” from Critters on the Go on black cardstock. To complete my card, I added Nuvo drops on the center of the florals for interest.

Happy Wednesday everyone! It's Franci here with a fun colorful card showcasing the Out on a Limb set.

First of all I created my cardbase out of white cardstock and I cut out a matching panel, then I cut out a circle out of it. I backed the opening up with another piece of white cardstock I ink blended with distress inks and I glued everything onto the front of my card.

I die cut all the elements out of colored cardstock and I also added these little dragonflies to the scene (I die cut them with one of the free mini dies you get with every order at Sunny Studio!).

I glued everything down with foam adhesive and liquid glue and added my sentiment from the Lovely Dovey set + coordinated dies. Finally I added a couple of sequins and my spring card is ready to be mailed!

Cherry Blossoms Cards with Marine

Hi crafty friends, Marine here, today I'm featuring the gorgeous Cherry Blossoms stamp set on a pretty and elegant shaker card. I started off by stamping all the flowers, and to help me in this task, I followed the numbers on the stamp set, as well as the guide on the Cherry Blossoms page.

I used distress oxide inks to create the flowers: spun sugar, worn lipstick, festive berries and aged mahogany, and Lawn Fawn inks for the stems. Feel welcome to check the video below to watch the whole layering process.

Once all the flowers were done, I moved on to the background. I cut a 5,5 x 4,25" panel out of a raspberry pink cardstock and I added details and texture on this plain panel using the Quilted Heart Portrait die. And then I attached my panel on a white panel.

Next I created the shaker. I used the second Stitched Arch die to cut a window out of my panel. I applied liquid glue at the back, attached a piece of acetate, and next I added foam strips at the back of the panel, as well as all around the arch window.

I added sequins and jewels inside the window, and attached a light pink panel on the foam strips to totally close the shaker panel. Next I cut the Eiffel tower using the coordinating die from Paris Afternoon and attached it in the middle of the arch window using foam squares, and stuck flowers at the bottom of the arch.

I added more flowers at the top on each side of the arch window, and for my sentiment, I die cut a red banner using a die from Stitched Rectangles, and white heat embossed the phrase "Thinking of you" from Critters on the Go. I tucked the banner under the flowers at the bottom, and finally I added a few clear jewels here and there for an extra touch of shine.
