Sunny Studio Stamps Blog: Mermaid Kisses Tags with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing some Pastel Mermaid shaker tags featuring Mermaid Kisses stamp set.

For each tag, I die-cut the Scalloped Square Large die set three times from colored cardstock. One piece was used as the background, one to create the frame by die-cutting the center with the Stitched Square die, and the last piece was used to neatly finish the ribbon on the back of the tag.

Before assembling the shaker, I first placed the frame onto the background so I could see exactly where to stamp the sentiment without it disappearing behind the frame. I stamped each sentiment in a matching shade to the cardstock color for a soft look.

Next, I adhered a piece of acetate behind the frame. I then added foam tape around the edges, filled the center with glitter, and attached everything onto the background panel to create the shaker element.

On the back of the tag, I adhered a piece of ribbon. To give the back a clean and finished look, I used the final die-cut scalloped piece to cover and secure the ribbon onto the back of the tag. That completed the base of the tags.

After that, I stamped the images from the Mermaid Kisses stamp set and colored them with my Ohuhu markers, added highlights with a white gel pen and adhered the mermaids onto the finished shaker tags.
