Guest Designer Spotlight: Cherry Blossoms Cards with Dana Kirby

Hi friends! It's Dana here today and I am so excited to be a guest designer for Sunny Studio Stamps. The New Spring Release is packed full of so many amazing new products. There is so much to love and something for everyone. I have two cards to share today that use the gorgeous new Cherry Blossoms set

Sunny Studio Stamps: Cherry Blossoms Cards by Dana Kirby

For my first card, I started by die cutting all of my floral images with the Cherry Blossoms die set. I then used my stamping tool and the Cherry Blossoms stamp set to do all of my stamping. Each layer has an alphanumeric marking to help guide your stamping.  Once I had everything lined up it was easy to stamp multiples. With my flowers, I didn't stamp the "a" layer. This allowed my florals to have a little white showing through and my colors to be a little softer.

For my card panel, I trimmed down a piece of pattern paper from the Polka Dot Parade paper pack and attached it to an A2 card base. I then stamped my sentiment (also from the Cherry Blossoms stamp set) onto a die cut circle and attached it to the middle of my panel. Lastly, I attached my florals and added a few clear sequins to finish my card.

For my second card, I once again used the Cherry Blossoms stamp and die set to stamp all of my floral images. Next, I used the Out on a Limb die to create my branch. I attached the branch to the center of a panel that had been ink blended with a soft aqua ink. I then attached the florals to the branch and tucked in a few leaves.

To finish my card I added my sentiment and a few birds from the Little Birdie stamp set. I think these little birds are so sweet and I love how they coordinate with the flowers.

Charming City Cards with Vanessa and Audrey

Hello to you! Vanessa here with a new card using the Charming City set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Charming City Card by Vanessa Menhorn (featuring Comic Strip Everyday Dies, Fancy Frame Dies, Paris Afternoon)

I first stamped the houses onto a panel of white cardstock and inked the background with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink. Then I die-cut a grassy edge from a strip of green cardstock and added it with a strip of grey cardstock using foam tape. Now I stamped the images, colored them with Copics, die-cut the pieces with the matching dies and adhered the elements with foam tape.

For this card, the following sets were used:
Charming City stamps dies
Paris Afternoon stamps dies
Fancy Frames Circle Dies
Comic Strip Everyday Dies

I die-cut the Fancy Frames Circle Dies from the front of a white card base and adhered the stamped and layered piece behind it. Finally, I stamped the "bonjour!" onto a strip of pink cardstock, heat-embossed it with white embossing powder, trimmed it and adhered it to the window.

Have a happy weekend, everybody!

Hello friends! Audrey here with a Charming City card to share with you today!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Charming City Card by Audrey Tokach (featuring Comic Strip Everyday Dies)

To create this card, I started off with a piece of white cardstock cut to 4" x 5.25".  I masked off the bottom 1/3 and blended Broken China Distress Ink above the mask for the sky in my scene. Then, I reversed the mask and inked the bottom with Twisted Citron Distress Ink. I stamped the row of little houses from the Charming City stamp set, along with the two trees. They were colored with Copic markers and die cut with the coordinating Charming City Dies. I popped the houses and trees up with foam tape.

Above the houses, I added some tiny clouds cut using the Comic Strip Everyday die. For the sentiment, I stamped "bonjour" from the Charming City stamp set onto a white banner diecut and popped it up with foam tape also. I really wanted these cute little houses to shine, so I kept things pretty simple. The panel was popped up on an A2 card base.
