Heart Shaped Die Focused Cards by Mayra and Ashley

Happy Monday everyone, Mayra here! I am sharing this sweet card with you today using the wonderful new Stitched Heart 2 dies.

I began by die-cutting the layers for the card, I used the medium and smaller-sized hearts from the Stitched Heart 2 dies I die-cut the hearts from a patterned paper from the Flirty Flowers set. I also used the Scalloped Heart die set, the Quilted Hearts Landscape die, and the Sweet Word die. 

Next, I colored the images from the super cute Passionate Penguins stamp set using Copic markers. I used N8, C5, Y19, Y08, Y11, YR30, E41, and R30 for the penguins. I then used the sentiment from the Candy Shoppe stamp set to complete the phrase for the card.

Hello friends! It's Ashley with another cute Valentine card that is perfect for a loved one or friend! The new Heart Dies make creating Valentine's so easy!

I started by cutting the largest Scalloped Heart die from a piece of violet cardstock stock. I topped this with a regular white heart made with the largest Stitched Heart 2 die. This made a nice backdrop for my images. I really like the look of these hearts on a square base, so I trimmed a piece of Flirty Flowers paper in the purple quilted hearts pattern to 4.5" square to ground my heart. 

I stamped the cute driving penguin pair from Passionate Penguins in Pinkfresh Studio Detail Black ink as well as the balloon set from Heart Bouquet onto Bristol smooth cardstock. I colored the images in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and cut them out with the matching dies. I added a few details with a white gel pen, then glued them to the card. I finished with a sentiment from Critters on the Go that I stamped in VersaMark ink on black cardstock and embossed with white.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Cards with Barbara Tarayao

Hi there! I'm Barbara and I am thrilled to be a guest designer for sunny studios! I just think valentine cards are so fun to make. I love the colors! I have been paper crafting for over 20 years now. It's my way to relax. If you asked me what kind of card is my favorite to make I would have to say I love it all! I'm obsessed with making cards so I guess whatever season it is that's my favorite card to make!, to share a few projects that I made using the new release.

This is a mini-slim line card I made using the Passionate Penguins stamp set and the Heart Bouquet stamp set. The love is die cut from the Loopy Letters dies. I masked off a rectangle and ink blended pink clouds with distress ink. I stamped and colored the images with Copic markers and fussy cut them out and adhered them to the front of the card.

I used the loopy letters alphabet dies for the sentiment cut from white card stock. I stamped the flowers from the Cherry Blossoms stamp set in several shades of dye ink. I fussy cut them out and adhered to a white card stock panel that I ink blended with Distress ink to highlight the sentiment. I added some clear drops for a bit of sparkle.

I made some mini-Valentine cards using the Passionate Penguins stamp set and for the background I used the Quilted Hearts Landscape die. I colored the images in with Copic markers and fussy cut them out and adhered them with the sentiments with foam tape.
