Guest Designer Spotlight: Merry Mice Cards with Chitra Nair

Hello friends, Chitra here with another set of cards to share with you all!!
This time I got to play with another SUPER cute set from the new winter release called Merry Mice and its coordinating dies.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Merry Mice Scalloped Tag Dies Christmas Cards by Chitra Nair

I started by ink blending a white card panel with oxide inks (Dried Marigold, Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserve) and splattering water on top of it and dried it off with a towel. Once dry I splattered white and silver watercolor from Gansai Tambi watercolors. Then I stamped the images onto Crafter's Companion ultra smooth white cardstock using memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored with copics then die-cut it out using coordinating dies.

I took another piece of white cardstock which is embossed using Buffalo Plaid embossing folder, adhered that to a white card base. I made snowy ground for the mice, adhered that to the colored panel and then I adhered all the images to the panel some using foam squares and some directly.

The sentiment is white heat embossed using WOW white embossing powder. Then I glued few cheese as Christmas ornament for the mice, drew the lines using black gel pen. I also added few highlights using white gel pen and also added glitter to the cap and scarf.

For my second card I used scalloped tag square die along with the cute Merry Mice and its coordinating diesFirst I die cut out a square tag using the dies and white cardstock and then did some ink blending on it using oxide inks (Twisted Citron and squeezed lemonade and scattered straw), then splattered some plain water and dried it out using towel. Once dry I splattered some white and silver watercolor from Gansai Tambi watercolors.

Images are all stamped onto Crafter's Companion ultra smooth white cardstock and colored with Copics and cut out using coordinating dies. I took a colored cardstock and used Buffalo Plaid embossing folder to emboss the pattern on it and adhered it directly to bottom of the card base and then adhered the tag on top of it.

The sentiment is heat embossed on black cardstock using WOW white embossing powder. The sentiment is adhered using foam squares and I also adhered the images. I added some details using white Signo gel pen and glued natural jute twine on the tag.

I had so much fun playing with the new goodies. Hope you too enjoyed my cards!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!! Hugs!

Layered Snowflake Frame Cards with Candice and Rachel

Hi everyone, it's Candice here. This new Layered Snowflake Frame die set is amazing for it's perfect size for me to create two frames on one card! I am loving the effect and thinking of all the different scenes I could put into them!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Layered Snowflake Frame Dies Woodland Border Dies Feeling Frosty Scenic Route Season's Greetings Winter Themed Card by Candice Fisher

I used a few sets from the new holiday release:
I began with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base which fits wonderfully into the size 9A envelopes. To create the double snowflake frames, I cut close to the edges leaving enough space in the center for my sentiment. I then worked on creating the layers inside the frames by first creating the sky by blending shaded lilac & spun sugar and splattered with diluted white paint.

Next, I stamped one each of the hillside and houses, colored with Copic markers, die cut out using the coordinating dies and cut in half. I then stamped the adorable snowmen, colored them with the Copics, and used the coordinating dies to cut out. I layered them using foam tape and in the top areas I doubled up on the foam tape to give it three layers and lots of dimension.

To finish off the card, I added my bold sentiment by first creating my banner from the handle in the Sweet Treat Bag die. I heat embossed the Season's in white and blended with shaded lilac & spun sugar. Next, I die cut the wishes from green foil paper and multiples from white scraps and layered for a thick sturdy piece. For my finishing touches, I added a snowflake covered in sparkle and a few white pearls.

Thank you for visiting today!  Have a fabulous weekend!

Hello everyone! It's Rachel here and I have a fun example to show you of another way that you can use the new Layered Snowflake Frame Die Set. It's the perfect size to frame the opening of a shadow box card!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Layered Snowflake Frame Dies Merry Mice Woodland Border Dies Feeling Frosty Winter Themed Card by Rachel Alvarado

My shadow box measures at 6.25" x 4.5" when folded flat and fits perfectly into a standard A6 sized envelope. I used a piece of Kraft Card Stock for the front and back portions of my card and used the Layered Snowflake Frame Die to cut a window into the front of one panel. I then used a White Gel Pen to color over some of the flakes to make them look like they're covered with snow. I also added some stitched snow drifts by using the Woodland Borders Dies and some White Card Stock.

I stamped all of my images from the new Merry Mice Stamp Set with Tuxedo Memento Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, colored with Copics, and used the coordinating Merry Mice Dies to cut them out. Before putting my card together, I blended a pink background sky by blending some Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Inks. Lastly, I heat embossed my sentiment with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder onto a sheet of Black Card Stock and then trimmed it down to size.

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today! Have a wonderful weekend!

Embossing Folder Focused Cards with Vanessa and Anja

Hello to you! Vanessa here today with a fun shaker card using the Woodgrain Embossing folder. While looking at the new dies, I thought the flap die from the Sweet Treat Bag Dies would make a perfect window for a snow globe shaker card!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Feeling Frosty Sweet Treats Gift Bag Dies Christmas Themed Shaker Card by Vanessa Menhorn

I first embossed a panel of white cardstock with the embossing folder and die-cut the window. I covered the front of my card with patterned paper from the Very Merry 6x6 paper pad, then I stamped the snowman from Feeling Frosty, colored it with Copics, die-cut it with the matching die and adhered it to the card with foam tape. I adhered clear cardstock to the back of the window, backed it with fun foam, filled the window with clay heartssnowflakes and clear sequins and adhered the front to the card.

Now I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment onto a strip of pink cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it to create the base of the snowglobe. Finally, I stamped the tree, colored it with Copics, die-cut it with the matching die and adhered it.

I hope you like my idea to stretch your dies! Thanks for stopping by today!

Hello everyone, Anja here sharing a pastel Christmas card which features the Buffalo Plaid Embossing Folder and one of the cute Merry Mice Stamps. As a little bonus, I added a circle shaker element.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Merry Mice Fancy Frame Dies Christmas Themed Shaker Card by Anja Bytyqi

First, I ran the embossing folder with a piece of white cardstock through my die-cutting machine. To enhance the texture of the embossed plaid pattern, I diagonally applied Distress Oxide Inks (Milled Lavender, Spun Sugar and Tumbled Glass) with a soft blending brush. I also added some random ink and white paint splatters.

Next, I stamped the mouse and its hat in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and did some coloring with Copic Markers. I added little dots to the stocking with a white gelly roll pen and used the coordinating dies to cut out the images.

For my shaker element, I die cut three stitched scalloped circle frames from white cardstock using the Fancy Frame Circle Dies. I stacked two of them together to create a more sturdy top frame. I adhered an acetate circle to its back and die cut a narrow circle frame from white fun foam which I adhered with double-sided tape. This will create the right height for the embellishments to move around freely in the shaker. I then taped the last stitched scalloped circle frame to the other side of the fun foam circle (this step is not necessary but this bottom layer made it easier for me to adhere the shaker to the card later).

Now for the fun part of creating a shaker, I picked all kinds of tiny embellishments: Pink & White Clay Heart Confetti as well as sequins and seed beads from my stash. I also adhered some White Pearls and Blue & White Clay Snowflake Confetti to the embossed plaid background, so they won't fell to the bottom of the shaker when the card stands upright.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink onto a banner and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Scenic Route Cards with Franci and Ana

Hello there! Franci here with you today with a frosty card showcasing the new Scenic Route set!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Scenic Route Feeling Frosty Winter Themed Holiday Card by Franci Vignoli

This set is so cool because it is filled up with elements that help you create lots of different scenes and layouts/backgrounds for your projects. I started my card by creating my card base out of white cardstock, then I die cut some matching white rectangle panels and I stamped them with the houses border and the snowy hill one at different heights. I colored them with Copics and die cut them with the coordinated dies (I love that the dies just cut the top of each of these images!!).

Sunny Studio Stamps: Scenic Route Feeling Frosty Winter Themed Holiday Card by Franci Vignoli

I also stamped, colored and die cut lots of little snowmen from the Feeling Frosty set and started building my winter scene. For the little sky portion at the top, I colored the front top of my card with Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire distress inks, let it dry completely and added lots of dots with a white gel pen to create a snowy effect.

I glued everything down with a combo of liquid glue and foam adhesive, then I added more details with the white gel pen and stamped my sentiment following the snowy hills. Aww it turned out super cute!!

Hope you like it as much as I do and thank you so much for stopping by today!

Hi friends! Ana here today with a winter night scene card featuring amazing Scenic Route stamp set and coordinating dies from the new holiday release!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Scenic Route Here Comes Santa Winter Themed Holiday Card by Ana Anderson

Scenic Route is such an amazing versatile stamp set – so many awesome scenes and backgrounds can be created with this set and for today’s project have used the row of houses and snowy hills images as well as the sentiments and standalone tree for my scene.
I created the background by ink blending Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet and Seedless Preserves distress inks on my panel, leaving the circle white to create the moon. I used masking paper that I die cut with circle die then shaded the moon with W1 Copic marker.

I colored the houses and snowy hills with Copic markers, die cut them with coordinating dies then using scissors cut on the line of the hill to insert the row of houses, adhering them together. I stamped Santa and sleigh, from Here Comes Santa stamps, on the moon and stamped the sentiment, from Scenic Route set on the snowy hill using VersaFine Onyx black ink.

Stars, from Here Comes Santa set, were white heat embossed to the background. To finish off the card I added white frame which I created by altering Comic Strip Speech Bubbles Die (I cut the inside window partitions to create the frame).

I really love the versatility of the Scenic Route set and I hope you liked today’s project and got inspired! Thank you for stopping by today and I’ll see you next week!

Christmas Garland Frame Cards with Juliana and Angelica

Hello Sunny Studio Friends! It's Juliana here and today I'm sharing a simple, but elegant Christmas card featuring the Season's Greetings Stamp Set. If you need to make a lot of Christmas cards this year, you might find this card to be the one for you. Hopefully, it will at least inspire some ideas on how to make your card making feel more manageable and enjoyable!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Christmas Garland Frame Dies Season's Greetings Christmas Card by Juliana Michaels

I began by die cutting a piece of green cardstock using the tree garland frame from the Christmas Garland Frame Die. This die is super intricate and I highly recommend using a metal shim to get a clean cut with your manual die cutting machine. I then die cut a bunch of berries from red and white cardstock. Die cutting them and then adhering the layers probably took the longest amount of time on this card. An idea to speed up this part might be to only cut the solid part of the berry die or even use red pearls or sequins instead.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Christmas Garland Frame Dies Season's Greetings Christmas Card by Juliana Michaels

Once the frame was complete, I stamped the sentiment from the Season's Greetings Stamp Set with embossing ink and then heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I then finished the card by adding a black and white buffalo check ribbon to the bottom corner.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed this bit of inspiration using the Season's Greetings Stamp Set. We can't wait to see what you create and share with us!

Hi friends, Angelica here, and I have a festive shaker card to share with you today, showcasing the Christmas Garland Frame Die.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Christmas Garland Frame Dies Christmas Shaker Card by Angelica Conrad

I die-cut green card stock two times, and glued them together. I added glue around the tips, then sprinkled loose white flock and clear glitter onto the adhesive. Once dry, I attached the frame to acetate cut the same size as the frame. I added thin foam strips to the back of the frame, added glitter and clear sequins into the window, then closed the back with pattern paper from the Holiday Cheer Paper Pack

Sunny Studio Stamps: Christmas Garland Frame Dies Christmas Shaker Card by Angelica Conrad

I used double-sided adhesive to attach the panel to a card base. I used the Merry Christmas die from the set to die-cut white and red card stock, then attached the white to the acetate window. I added the red die-cut at a slight angle on top of the white to finish the card.

That’s all that I have for today. Thanks so much for stopping by!
