Backyard Bugs Thanks A Buzzilion Card with Lexa

Hello everyone!  Lexa here today with an inspiration for spring. I'm using last year's collection called Backyard Bugs and it's so adorable. To represent spring, I choose to be more colorful for this card. It's a happy card that will make anybody's day!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Backyard Bugs Thanks A Buzzilion Bumblebee, Butterfly, Ladybug & Caterpillar Card by Lexa Levana.

I started with a piece of 4" x 5.25" white cardstock and blended Squeezed Lemonade, Spun Sugar and a little bit of Worn Lipstick Distress Ink on the bottom. I stamped all the images with black Versafine ink and watercolor them with Distress Markers. Then I cut the hill from green cardstock for the flower's ground. The flowers have different colors. They are so pretty that even the bugs are gathered around them. I also added yellow sequins on the center of the flowers which adds more dimensions. Which one is your favorite bugs? Mine are the ladybugs, tiny and super cute.

Backyard Bugs Get Well Card with Vanessa

Hi everybody! Vanessa here with a clean & simple card using Backyard Bugs.

There are so many possibilities to use the small elements from the cute set. I created a pretty flower bouquet with it:

Sunny Studio Stamps: Backyard Bugs "Heard You Caught A Bug" Get Well Card by Vanessa Menhorn.

First, I trimmed a panel of white cardstock slightly smaller than my card base. Then I stamped the flowers, the pot and the ladybugs. The small "berries" are the sprinkles from the set Sweet Shoppe. After I had colored the images with Copics, I masked the top part of the panel and applied light blue ink with an ink blending tool. Finally, I stamped the sentiment and adhered the panel to the card.

It's so fun to play with the little images to create a whole new image!

Sending My Love Valentine's Day Banner With Lindsey

Hi, Lindsey here today. I'm sharing a Valentine's Day banner using Sending My Love. This set has so many fun little critters, and this time I decided to use the little bunny. I also included the little mail box, some hearts, and a sentiment. All you need in one set! Let's get started on how to create this fun banner.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sending My Love Valentine's Day Banner by Lindsey Sams.

To begin I cut the banner pieces using some Doodlebug Design Valentines paper. I cut six large banners and four small banners from patterned paper. I cut an additional two small banners from white card stock to do my stamping on.

I cut four stitched circles from red and the word "love" from white card stock. I adhered the white letters onto the red circles. Then I attached the red circles to the small patterned paper banners using foam tape.

Next, I stamped my images onto the small white banners and colored them using Copic markers. Once all the small banners were finished, I threaded some Valentine twine through the two top holes for decoration. Finally, I attached the small banners to the larger ones and strung them together using more Valentines twine.

That's it! I love how this sweet banner turned out. It will make a perfect decoration to hang on the mantel for Valentine's Day. I hope you'll check out this adorable set and create your own decorative banner. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Backyard Bugs Lunchbox Notecards Video by Emily

Sunny Studio Stamps: Backyard Bugs Lunchbox Notes by Emily Leiphart using Crescent Tag Topper Dies with Video Tutorial.

I have a fun project for you today! After I discovered that I could make lunchbox notecards with the Crescent Tag Topper Dies, I decided to share the process in a video because it's so much fun. I just love the versatility of these affordable dies and while you could use any of the Sunny Studio Stamp sets for these notecards, I thought these little notecards would be the perfect way to showcase the Backyard Bugs stamp set and coordinating dies.

My son hasn't seen these yet but I know he's going to love getting them in his lunchbox! The bugs are adorable  and I love the little sentiments. All of the images mix and match so well with each other, giving you an unlimited number of scenes. It's the perfect set for spring projects!

Rain or Shine Let's Weather It Together Card with Eloise

Hello everyone. Happy New Year! Eloise here and I'm here to show you a card I made with the Rain or Shine stamp set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Rain or Shine Let's Weather It Together card by Eloise Blue.

To start off my card today I stamped the images from the Rain or Shine stamp set and coloured them in some Copic Markers. Of course this little dog had to be wearing a yellow rain coat and holding a rainbow umbrella, am I right? Haha! That's always my favourite way to colour these images for these scenes. I then used the coordinating dies to die cut out my images.

For the background, I used various blue Distess Inks and a piece of acetate and made this watercolour background. I love how you can control it a bit better with acetate and also, I love the different effects you get from using it. It's super easy, I just smooshed down the colour from the ink pad onto the acetate, sprayed it lightly with water and pressed down on top of some watercolour paper. I did a light blue first, then came in darker.

Now the background was complete I dried it with a heat tool and ran it through my Big Shot with a rectangle die, this helps it flatten out plus it gives it a nice stitched edge too. I then stamped the sentiment from the Rain and Shine set also with some black ink onto the background. I then assembled my scene on top and adhered my panel onto a yellow card base. For a finishing touch I added some Wink of Stella over top of some of the image and my card was complete.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed and got inspired and stop by the rest of the week for more inspiration.

- Eloise
