Sweet Shoppe: A Very Sweet Set of Cards by Anni

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sweet Shoppe Watercolored Cupcake Card Set by Anni Lerche.

Hey stampers, Anni here!  Today I have a set of three cards for you. All three were made using the set Sweet Shoppe (there are also coordinating dies available).

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sweet Shoppe Watercolored Cupcake Card by Anni Lerche.

I started by coloring three watercolor pieces in various color schemes. I used Ken Oliver's Color Burst. For every card I used three colors.

After drying I stamped the cupcakes on these pieces. I chose the parts of the paper that looked the most like icing! I stamped the cupcakes on white paper and colored the lower part with Copics. After that I fussy cut all the images.

I die cut some squares from white cardstock and created three matching backgrounds by inkblending and spritzing some water droplets on the paper. Than I stamped the sentiments in Versafine black ink, the best ink for sentiments and detailed images.

For every color combo I chose a matching patterned paper and assembled the cards.
To make the toppings of the cupcakes look more realistic I added some Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents.

If you choose the same design for all your cards, it is easy to make a few cards at the same time.

Thanks for stopping by and have a sunny week.

Sweet Shoppe Thank You Card with Eloise

Hello everyone! Eloise here today and I'm here to show you my card for the new Sweet Shoppe stamp set. This set is so fun with all the different sweets inside and I had a blast making this card.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sweet Shoppe Thank You Card by Eloise Blue.

To begin my card today I actually started off with the background. I used four colours of Distress Inks along with some thin washi tape and masked off the stripes on my background piece. I then blended two stripes per colour. Once it was blended I carefully removed the washi tape and then used some water on a brush to flick water on top of the ink to give it that water splotch look that I love so much!

Now I was inspired with my colour choices to colour in my images. So I used various Copic Markers to colour in my images in similar colours - or at least the best I could find. I then die cut them out using the coordinating dies.

Now I had to figure out my sentiment. So I die cut the word 'sweet' from the new Sweet Word Die out of some more watercolour paper, the same as the background and used some orangey Distress Ink to colour it and then used the same water flicking technique to match the background also. I also cut the word out of fun foam also so it could be dimensional. Before adhering it to the card I quickly stamped down the rest of my sentiment, I took some black ink and the 'thanks for being so' stamp from the same Sweet Shoppe stamp set and stamped it down in one of the white stripes and then I adhered down my sentiment. I used foam adhesive to adhere my images down in a way I liked.

To finish up my card I adhered my panel onto some fun foam and then onto a grey cardbase. I then took a Wink Of Stella clear glitter pen and added some sparkle onto the images and sentiment and that finished up the card for today.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and got inspired. Make sure you stop by the blog this week to see all the other ladies fabulous cards!

Guest Designer Spotlight: Sweet Shoppe Cards with Juliana Michaels

Hi everyone! It's Juliana Michaels and I'm so happy to be a guest with you here again on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog. I created four cards to share with you today using the new Sweet Shoppe Stamp Set.

For my first card, Sweet Birthday Wishes, I randomly stamped the images onto watercolor paper using Versamark Ink and embossed them with white embossing powder. I then colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. To create the sentiment, I used the Sweet Word Die and cut it from a piece of black fun foam. I then stamped “birthday wishes “ onto a piece of white cardstock and cut it into a banner shape.

The sweetness continued on my second card, You Make Life Sweet. For this card, I created a shaker card that I embellished with the super cute ice cream cone stamp. I stamped the image onto white cardstock, colored it with colored pencils and then cut it out using the Sweet Shoppe coordinating dies. The sentiment was created using one of the many great sentiments in this stamp set and the Sweet Word Die.

To create my Thanks For Being So Sweet card, I used a pencil and ruler to draw diagonal lines on watercolor paper. I then used these guidelines to stamp the adorable donuts using a Distress Ink Pad in Pumice Stone. To color in the images, I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. To create the sentiment, I used the Sweet Word Die and cut it from a piece black cardstock. I then stamped “thanks for being so” on black cardstock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

On my final card, Hope Your Day Is Sweet, I combined the Sweet Shoppe set with the Comfy Creatures stamp set. I thought it would be fun to have a couple critters holding a donut! After stamping and coloring each of the images, I used the coordinating dies to cut out each of the elements . I then layered them to give them a little dimension. I cut the banner using the new Fishtail Banner II Dies and then tied on a piece of bakers twine before adhering it to the card front.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I invite you to check out my blog, 17turtles, for one more card I created using the Sweet Shoppe Stamp Set!

Baby Bear Girl and Boy Cards with Lexa

Hello everyone. Lexa here today with not one but two baby cards using Baby Bear stamps and it's coordinating dies. I love how sweet and adorable all the bears and their little accessories. My cards today will show you two versions for both baby girl and baby boy. Enjoy!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Baby Bear Girl & Boy Cards by Lexa Levana (using Fishtail Banners II & Sweet Word die)

I went through the same layout and exactly same proccess for both cards, but I choose different patterned paper and color combinations. For the baby girl card, I used a pretty floroal card base and a strip of lace was chosen for a more girly look. I also add a tiny pink bow for the baby bear. It's just so cute!

The Fishtail Banners II dies from this new release will probably be one of my favorites--it's super versatile. The scalloped fishtail banner and the stitched detail is a perfect touch.

I die-cut the Sweet Word Die four times and stacked them together to create dimension and as if it's not enough I add a generous amount of Glossy Accents after that. I then just left it overnight. Here you can see the details.

For the baby boy card, I choose a blue plaid patterned paper as the base. For the background behind the bear I created it with some washi tapes I've been hoarding for a long time. I'm so glad finally I can use them. I love how this set has so many accessories, like this cute tiny pacifier..adorrrable!

By repeating the same layout as the first card, I was able to finish both of them in a day. And of course, clear sequins can't be missed.

I hope you love my cards from today. Have a wonderful weekend! xx

City Streets Cafe Card with Vanessa Menhorn

Hi there! Vanessa here with a card using the wonderful new set City Streets Stamps and coordinating dies. The houses are just too cute! Here comes my card:

Sunny Studio Stamps: City Streets Let's Meet For Coffee Cafe Card by Vanessa Menhorn.

I started with a card base made from watercolor paper and masked off a circle on its front. Now I applied light blue ink for the sky and grey ink for the bottom and removed the mask. I stamped the images with permanent ink and colored them with watercolors. Then I die-cut everything with the matching dies and adhered it all to the card. Finally, I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment onto a strip of red cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it to the card.

I have so many more ideas for using this set, it's just so fun to play with! Thank you for stopping by today!

Baby Bear Baby Shower Card with Lindsey

Hi, Lindsey here today and I am so happy to be sharing a baby card using one of the adorable new stamp sets, Baby Bear. This set is just too cute! It has tons of precious little baby accessories and of course, little baby bears!  Let's get started on how I created this card.
Sunny Studio Stamps: Baby Bear & Rain or Shine Baby Bundle & Umbrella Card by Lindsey Sams

To begin, I cut a few A2 stitched rectangles. I used one as my card base and used a couple of others to create the clouds. I cut three layers of clouds, each one shorter than the next. On my card base rectangle, I blended some light pink ink coming out from behind the clouds. I thought this would be sweet since this is a baby girl card.

I stamped the little bear in the blanket and an umbrella from an older set, Rain or Shine. I colored them both with Copic markers and added some details with at white gel pen. I cut the bear out using the coordinating Baby Bear dies, and I fussy cut the umbrella. I adhered the two of them together. I just thought it was so cute to have the umbrella dropping the baby bear into the clouds.

I used one of the many sentiments from the baby bear set and stamped it on the front cloud in the same pink I had blended in the background. Then it was time to put the card pieces together. I popped the bear and umbrella up with a little foam tape. Finally I added some stars from the Star Border Die and some sequins for a little sparkle.

That's it for me today. I hope you'll continue checking back to the blog for more inspiration using this adorable new release. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Sweet Shoppe: Sweet Birthday Wishes by Anni

Hey stampers, Anni here!

Isn't the new release F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S? And I am starting with my absolute favorite stamp set of all time: Sweet Shoppe! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the images in this set! So much fun to color... And the Sweet word die is just the perfect addition.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sweet Shoppe Sweet Birthday Wishes Ice Cream Cone Card by Anni.

A few days ago I bought some cardstock. I just grabbed the colors I liked but when I stood in the line to pay I just realized what a great color combo it was. That was the inspiration for today's card.

I started with stamping the images on Strathmore 300 Bristol Smooth cardstock - the perfect paper for coloring with colored pencils. I use Prismacolors and Polychromos, I like them both and can't choose a favorite. I colored the images and added some highlights with a white gel pen.

Then I fussy cut the images (there are matching dies available too - I am just one of the weird persons that like to fussy cut).

For the sentiment I die cut the Sweet word from cream cardstock several times and stacked them up for more dimension.  For my card base I choose some patterned paper. I don't use that much patterned paper but this one fits perfectly I think. It was subtle enough to stamp the rest of the sentiment directly on it.  I finished the card by adding some Wink of Stella to the die cut word.

Thanks for stopping by and have a sunny week.
